Our 7,500 square foot facility features a full service retail store, a state of the art hydrotherapy pool, an award winning on-site obedience training center, nine self service dog grooming stations and more.
Our mission at Pet Depot is to offer our customers with the most holistic, natural, and superior foods, products and services in the entire industry. The end goal is to provide you with the absolute best products for your pet to ensure they're happiness and health, leading to your satisfaction as a customer.
I work at a local veterinary surgical specialty practice, and see many patients for post-operative rehabilitation. I send several of these patients to Pet Depot for swim therapy, and have had excellent results. My clients report that the pool is always clean, and the staff always friendly. I myself have used their self-service dog-wash in the past, and have never seen this designed in a better way, for the safety of the pet and client. I have also made use of obedience classes, the swim pool and made supply purchases at Pet Depot, without a shred of disappointment.

Friendly staff. I take my dog Minna there to wash her. It's reasonably priced and very convenient. This last time, I decided to take Minna there for a swim. She really enjoyed it. It's a very popular place. Call ahead for swim appointments. Sometimes you might have to call ahead for the bath as well. Went before Father's day, and every bath was full. You should definitely go check this place out. It has food, toys, treats, and accessories for you pets

We love to bring our pup here to swim in the pool. The prices for pool time have increased a few dollar this past year but the fun is well worth it. They charge per 15 minute increments. We always do 30 minutes because 15 just doesn't seem like enoughfun time! The best thing is that if you go often you can buy a package deal (punch card) and save a good amount of money!

The prices are listed on the website and all you need to do is call to reserve your time slot. When you reserve a time slot you are the only party using the pool at that time. They have life vests in all sizes in case your pup isn't 100% comfortable in the water. It's great for the winter and rainy days when you want to let your pup burn off some energy and get some exercise!

They have stalls to rinse your pup off afterwards and lots of towels to dry them. If you want to give them a bath afterwards you can add it on the the pool price for just a few more dollars. Well worth the money! And we never leave without a nice bone for our boy to relax and chew on when we get home. The staff is always great and the place is well stocked!

Wonderful establishment! Took my pup in for her first swim. She is timid and was very apprehensive about the pool, but the staff was very kind, understanding and patient with her. We also used the self-wash stations after her pool experience. Staff was helpful getting us set up and familiar. Great facilities, very clean and well maintained. Bath time was a breeze! The store itself has an extensive selection of animal food, toys and treats! Highly recommend!

Amazing! The staff here were so attentive. They were helpful checking in (my dog swam and got a self bath). It was our first time, so they explained everything and were so great with Elvis. Elvis is a water baby, but struggled with the ramp. The attendant helped him get in and gave me tips to help, and he finally got over it and went in! They even had the ball type that Elvis is obsessed with for the pool! Luckily, we bought him a bully stick so he would drop the ball, but even when he tried to steal it they were so nice. The staff here were all great! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Today was our first time at Pet Depot. I heard about the place and pool from a coworker. From the minute we walked in to the time we left, we were filled with kindness. The gentlemen that attended to us were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They made our dog's first time very comfortable in the pool. We loved the pool and service so much we bought the 12 sessions right away.

We also bought some moose chew (can't remember the name) and gave it to Reggie on the way home. He chewed it the whole car ride (20 some minutes). Looking forward to coming back very soon.

I just took my dog swimming at Pet Depot. The employee helped us put the life jacket on. He was amazing guiding her around the pool while on lead. My girl is high anxiety and it was her first time. The guys that work here are amazing. Pet Depot also carries Zignatures brand food for my girl. My girl has food allergies and only eats Salmon and Whitefish. They also carry the salmon training treats we use. I highly recommend!

Great, high-quality store for pet supplies. They have top food and treats and supplies and competitive prices. They also have helpful staff and that isn't as easy to find these days, especially in the big box stores, which this is not. They even have a large hydrotherapy pool for dogs (people aren't allowed). Been here a few times when I left something of my dogs at home while visiting family. If I lived locally this would be my regular go-to pet store. Highly recommend!

Pet Depot's swimming pool has been an absolute lifesaver in progressing our puppers recovery forward, after a full TPLO surgery. The owners son came and talked with us during one swim session; pretty rad dude. We love the backstory on the why/how the pool was installed. Thanks for being awesome!

Great spot to take your dog swimming to get a good exercise. We have been taking our dog here to swim in the pool for two years. The staff is friendly and the facility is easy to navigate through. There are toys, food, and pet supplies for all dogs and cats.

Manager Jack saved my dogs life. My dog is a 14 yr old diabetic black lab and we took him swimming for his birthday. His blood sugar dipped too low while in the water and we had to reach in and drag him out. He became unresponsive and his tongue started to turn blue. I ran to the front and asked for help. Jack gave me treats first but the dog wouldn't eat. Jack quickly googled and ran a honey stick back to us.

He literally saved my dogs life. I was in crisis mode and kept asking for syrup, which they don't have (obviously). When we gave the honey to my dog it took about 30 seconds for him to start responding. After another minute he was accepting treats. Jack stayed with us and talked us through it. Trevor came back to check on us to see if we needed anything while Jack was with us.

These guys really care. He asked about the dog, how old, etc. In hindsight I think Jack was trying to keep us calm and it worked. We will always go to Pet Depot for anything we need. Our next dog (hopefully many years away) will be named Jack.

My dog and I were visiting from out of town and he had such a good time visiting MD that he got a bit dirty. I wanted to get him a bath as he is a service animal and would be traveling back to our home by plane and he was kind of smelly. I looked on the website and it said they were open until 5pm and they had self serve dog wash. When we arrived at 4:30 the staff had already sprayed the tubs with cleaning chemicals.

The staff were very friendly and provided my dog with a treat to take with us. It would be beneficial to state what time the tubs close on the website or in the store. The sign at the self wash in the store says they are open until 5pm

This is a 5 Paw Review! My girl literally drags me to the pool. Everyone is so nice and professional. She's an English Lab-they live for water. It is wonderful to see her excitement. Great bonding.

I took my sisters 8 month old Pit-Bull for her first swimming session. It was ADORABLE. A D O R A B L E. The young guy who helped us was very sweet, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable putting her in his hands for her swimming lesson. After rinse & dry we walked around the store. Prices are decent and they have everything you could ever need. Also, I had reservations about using a public "dog" pool but it was really clean and the pool seemed very nice!

Highly recommend this place for great customer service alone. Products are great. Swim therapy pool for dogs is great. Five stars!

L-O-V-E. I've got 3 big dogs, and sometimes it's really difficult to wear them out. Enter Pet Depot. My pups love the pool here. Even the one who doesn't like to swim much, loves to do laps around the pool. 15min doesn't sound like much, but if your do it right, your dog will be TOAST when you're done. Add on a dog wash and I guarantee you'll be taking home a fresh & clean, sleeping dog.

The staff is young and can be a little distracted (they're teenagers, not customer service professionals) but if you talk to them, they will help you out with whatever you need. I should also mention, all 3 of my dogs have orthopedic issues. 1 previously shattered leg that has left deficits, 1 with hip dysplagia, and 1 with Panosteitis. Swimming does wonders for their range of movement and their comfort. If you have a dog suffering from aches and pains, water therapy might be just what the doctor ordered!

Been here a few times. Mainly to wash dog in doggie wash. THE GOOD. -doggie wash -good amount of healthier pet foods, along with other supplies -has a pool for dogs -easy to park THE BAD. -use of pool is a bit expensive (you can get the bath and wash for 28 I think.still kinda pricey) -the employees that work there should be more customer centric Overall Pet Depot is the only spot I know of with an indoor doggie wash. Mom's Organic Market also has healthier pet food options. Some less, some more expensive than Pet Depot. If you care what you feed your pets or need to wash your pooch than consider Pet Depot.

Can I just say my dogs know the words Pet Depot. Their favorite place! The staff is absolutely the best. Friendly and always attentive. They also have great products if you get the chance to look around. The way the pool set up is fantastic. You get 20 minutes for $20 the pool all to yourself with a staff member making sure your pups are good to go. In the summer time on Friday's they have happy hour specials of $5 swims. Who could beat that! Kudos Pet Depot and I am sure see you soon!

What a phenomenal place for a dog (and other maybe other pets). Immediately greeted by staff directing me where to go with my questions. I had time to kill and my funky smelling dog in tow so I wanted to give her a bath. I came in, paid $16 to use the facilities and they offered to loan me some shampoo. The wash bins have a ramp for your animal, two collars, a hose with both hot and cold water, and a blow dryer.

They also have an apron, towels and paper towels. What else do you really need. I washed my pooch and she came out smelling great. Then. we take a tour of the building to check out prices. I personally think these places are all too expensive for me (except food) b/c my dog will tear up the toys anyway. Well you run right into a big dog pool where you can have your pooch swim around with other pups! How great is that? Please build in Washington, DC!

Just tried out their self-serve dog wash for the first time. We live in Catonsville, but it was easy to get to (and find) off of 695. My 2yo golden retriever is probably the most anxious golden ever, but she was immediately right a home in the store. The setting is a lot more homey than the big box pet stores, and the staff members love animals and are invested in making them as comfortable as possible.

The staff helped me move her into the sink, since she didn't trust the ramp. They provided an apron, shampoo, and towels. We even tried out the dog dryer- a first for her, since she's scared of the hair dryer. Now I know how they make the goldens at Westminster so fluffy! The store has a great selection of foods, toys, and beds, including a weigh your own dog cookie "bar", like the loose grains section of Whole Foods. Athena's looking smart in her newest collar, and she hasn't put down her squeaky toy since we got home yesterday. Definitely coming back.

I like Pet Depot a lot. The staff is attentive and helpful. In response to other reviewers, I've never seen an employee there using a cell phone. They greet you and will answer any qurations. When I go in to bathe my dog, I always think that $16 seems a little steep for DIY. Then, when I'm done, I look at the massive amount of plumbing-clogging wet dog hair we're leaving behind, and $16 suddenly seems like a great bargain.

There's a good chance you'll drive right by the Pet Depot and not give it a second look. But behind the tiny store front in a massive warehouse building is the best variety of natural and holistic cat/dog food as well as a hydrotherapy pool and self service pet wash for your dogs. We went in there knowing we wanted to switch our dog's food but didn't have a specific brand in mind.

The really helpful and knowledgeable staff took the time to talk with us about our dog and even our budget. From there, they suggested three types for us to consider and even gave an additional free sample bag of our selection since we were first time customers. We had a great experience and will be coming back to the Pet Depot from here on out.
