Training Report

We offer a wide variety of classes using reward-based training and teach students how to communicate effectively with their dogs, creating a strong and respectful relationship. Training Room Rental available at our new facility. Obedience ring $30/hour (2 people max). Agility ring rental $30/hour (2 people max).

When thinking about getting a new dog, it is very important that you learn a little bit about the breed or breeds that you are interested in. Too many times people get a puppy because they think it is cute only to realize later that the dog does not fit their lifestyle. Unfortunately, dogs brought into inappropriate homes often end up being re-homed or placed in shelters.

DVDs Report

Our DVD takes you through an 8-week basic dog training class with weekly lesson plans for you to work on in your home with your dog. Some of the skills that are taught on the DVD include: sit, stay, lie down, coming when called, leash-walking skills, leave it alone, attention training and even some tricks!

Kids & Dogs Report

We are happy to be working with the Decorah Park and Recreation Department in offering a kids dog training program during the summer. This is a 6 week class for kids between the ages of 8-14 that helps them train basic obedience skills and agility obstacle training. Our first program in 2008 was a huge success and we have been having a great time since!

I took my golden retriever here for the first time yesterday and was so impressed. I was extremely nervous as this was her first time but she did great and I'd highly recommend the Good Dog Center to anyone and everyone! Such friendly staff right when you walk through the door, great pricing and so much passion for what they do.

The Good Dog Center has the very best of everything when it comes to training dogs. The training staff are amazing and the facility is beautiful. They have invested so much time and energy in training my service dog. We make the 3 hour round trip 1-2 times a week and it is worth every minute!
