Services
The BHS Foster Program offers Adoption Days on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the BHS Building, 850 Barton Road, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Currently, we have a limited population of cats and dogs who are looking for loving and safe homes. Please, feel free to stop by on the 2nd Saturdays and meet our wonderful Foster fur babies!
Adopting a new pet is a wonderful decision, and the Bannock Humane Society is certainly going to do all we can to assist you in choosing a pet which will happily fit into your family. Do I have time for a cat or dog? Cats and dogs are social animals who thrive on companionship, yes, even cats. Dogs and cats need to be with you, not stuck on the end of a chain, or left alone in the house, or always in the backyard.
I will properly control my dog by providing fencing where appropriate, not letting my dog run loose, and using a leash in public. I will ensure that my pet has some form of identification (which may include collar tags, tattoos, or microchip ID).
We love it when someone appreciates all we are trying to do for each animal and then actually says it. It feels good to receive these notes! And we are sooooo happy to hear how Missy is doing, that makes us all smile big smiles.

Bannock humane society is one of the best places in pocatello that I've ever experienced. Sweet, generous people I've ever meet. They were well organized, even with the amount of people who were in line. And the line moves pretty fast for how many people were waiting to get help. They dont judge anyone who goes in there to get help. Simple easy questions and good advice. Definetly people and animal friendly for sure! This is definetly one of best programs in our community in pocatello! Love the people that helps others! Never forget this experience!

My husband and I were looking for shelters to adopt a kitty and one of our options was Bannock Humane Society. We spoke to Ronna and she scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Sunday. My husband and I ended up adopting a kitty from the Pocatello shelter and Ronna was completely unprofessional telling us how disappointed/upset she was about our decision.

I love the bannock humane society in their effort to protect our animal friends. Their shot clinic is the only way we can afford to adopt our wonderful pets.

This is a wonderful place. They find ways to make sure animals have good homes. They have families that foster lost fur babies this makes sure they are acclimated to different surroundings. They are non profit organisation they deserve all the help we can give them.

I foster for the humane society, and I can say that the staff love and care for every dog that comes in, and they go above and beyond to make sure the animals are matched with the right home. If you're looking to adopt, this is the right place.

I went there because I was interested in meeting and adopting a dog. So I can't speak for all of the other critters they help. From my experience with the staff, and seeing their wonderful set-up, I would easily conclude from my own dog adoption experience that their tremendous efforts extends to ALL of the various animals they help. They are very knowledgeable about the needs of their adoptees and have wonderful people who foster various animals for them.

The Society also puts in a lot of time and effort to pair the dog(s) with the best match for its individual needs to thrive and have wonderful forever home. I did adopt the dog I went to meet today and so far she is fitting in greatly and is really happy and excited.

I adopted a female dog and everyone at the facility was so nice and gave us lots of free dog toys and doggie treats along with a blanket too for our new dog. Her name is Sophie and she is our new family member.

Went there several times to adopt a dog. They whete either closed or didn't have what where looking for or not ready for the event they advertised for at the time they say. I do understand they are volunteer organization but if you advertise something will start at a certain time then that what time they should start at. Plus I spoke with a couple of ladies there and one was very nice and helpful but the other one was rude and told me to go find what I wanted at a private person. I told her fine I will and I did.

Well I'm low income and I went to them for help with shots for my dog and if you don't do there program you can't get discount shots through them for your animals. So if you need help with something for your pets you better go somewhere else cause they won't give you any assistance at all.
