They did a good job on our American Eskimo. They understand that older dogs have issues and it was no problem for them.

I booked an appointment a month out for a month out. I get a call the day before to cancel, actually it wasn't to cancel.the girl called to ask if it was ok to reschedule my dogs another month out! I said no, it's not ok. To which she said well we overbooked. So, she wasn't calling me to ask if it was ok to cancel, she was calling to cancel through no fault of my own, but because they had overbooked.

Instead of moving other people around or finding a sooner appointment to move us to, she wanted to push me out another month. Very unprofessional, I will never go there again.

I've been going to the Foxy Hound for years with my two dogs. the last time my dogs were in one of the ladies decided to shave my dog completely down. She was a schnauzer this is right before Christmas and we were having pictures made. Now I have a new puppy who is 6 1/2 months old they had me bring her in early this morning. she's been there for 7 1/2 hours in a cage, and they haven't even started grooming her yet. Unbelievable I will not be going back here again.

First time taking my Gigi (cat) in for a nail trim. She hates getting her nails trimmed and hates car rides so I don't do it often. They loved on her like I do. You can tell they really love animals. Will definitely come back.

When I call on a professional, I expect professional work, otherwise, I can learn to do it myself. Shaving the cat to address the matting problem, they clipped her whiskers too mostly on her right side and some on her left per the attached picture. You can see the abrupt clip endings which otherwise would be naturally tapered. This accounted for her erratic disoriented and hesitant moves. Whiskers are extremely important in their sense of spatial orientation in assessing their next move especially when it comes to chasing, running, or jumping.

I am expecting these whiskers to grow back to do their job but meanwhile, this would be another problem the cat needs to cope with until both her hair and whiskers are back in place. While clipping a cat is no easy task, I can tell from the hair left around her head, the cut was indiscriminate with sharp angles with no stylistic clue and there were hair strands that stood up twice the length of the surrounding area or simply left uneven. I should have taken the picture before trimming it down a bit to show it.

At first it was OK. Thought I would try again and it was not OK. They were having staff issues and new groomer issues which I found out later. My Cavapoo puppy came home with a hurt leg, one eyelash cut "by accident." I sent pictures to the owner Karen, and after going back and fourth about my puppies injured leg, plus showing her the medication my pups doctor prescribed for us for pain and swelling, Karen refunded me.

The reason I write this is because the owner Karen assumed I was lying, and swore my puppy was not injured when she was being groomed. We went back and fourth through email and multiple phone calls do to not being believed. That very much upset me and then come to find out the day my puppy was there the girl that answered the phone admitted they were having all sorts of staffing issues and a new groomer on the day my puppy was scheduled for a cut.

I also was not please by the way the lady at the front desk responded to me when I was sharing how short I would like her hair cut - it like she was annoyed and I got the feeling she didn't want my preferences communicated. Being 59 years old I know when someone is genuinely interested in having my business - she clearly was not. I sure hope that they have gotten the staffing issues cleared up and are treating first time clients like family. I did not get that from them.

I was recommended here by my boss who also brings her dogs for grooming. Today I brought my rescue Great Pyrenees here today for the first time since I adopted him and the poor guy was initially scared but everyone made him feel so comfortable and were gentle with him. The staff is exceptionally kind and professional and have years of experience. I could tell they give a lot of love and affection to all of the pets as my dog was happy and calm when I picked him up.

I was also very thankful that the receptionist was able to squeeze him in a few days ago. The location itself is great and central to everything. My big boy came out clean and looking beautiful with his new festive bandana! I look forward to bringing him back here. A very easy and enjoyable experience!

15 STITCHES (internal & external) & ER VISIT and they pretended they hadn't noticed the 4inch wound down my dogs NECK! I had to discover the DEEP laceration AT HOME after picking my dogs up from their 7hr stay at the store! When confronted, the groomer shared she thought I was calling to complain about how my dog "VIOLENTLY" fell off the grooming table while she left my dog unattended to answer the front desk phone! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! They are defensive, unprofessional, arrogant and a DANGER to your beloved PET!

They did a great job on our mini Aussie. Perfect groom every time Highly recommend

It seems that the "groomers" have never seen the westie before. They shaved my westie's back baldly and did not even cut his head and ears and it all lasted 4 hours. Awful! Never come back again.

I really wanted to like this place but I am quite disappointed! Took my Cavalier there and when I picked him up, his ears were cut terribly! You see a line and looks like they only cut one row on his back and left it like that. You can see it. It's bad! He also doesn't smell good like they usually do when they come from a groomer. I wonder if he was even washed! Will never go back and do not recommend.

I came in 10 minutes before they take their last pup to be groomed and they still fit in my two puppies to get their nails cut. I was in and out within five minutes. They were so gentle with my babies and so so quick. My puppies' nails are no longer scratching against my wood floor. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and gave our puppies so much love the second we walked in.

She was very helpful in letting us know when we should come in to get them groomed and nails cut again! I can't wait to come back here to get my pups groomed and my girl pups' nails painted!

The wait time is too long. 6 hours for a haircut. Overbooked and poor haircut. They rushed and did not even do any trim with scissor cut. No communications on time and style. Will not go back.

Both Karen and Aileen were GREAT! They took care of our newly adopted female kitten Ash, she came home feeling so clean I just couldn't stop smelling her! When we picked her up today, she was calmer and more relaxed than we've ever seen her. They also took the time to "debrief" us at the end, advising us on various things as we are new pet owners ourselves. There is absolutely no doubt we will return for these ladies to work their magic again, thanks!

They take excellent care of my grandmother's dog Reba Thomason Florence, Thomason dog my grandmother my mother lori daley and I bring her in on Saturday every eight weeks and they do a fantastic job and the staff are very nice and friendly.

I absolutely LOVE The Foxy Hound. I have a peke-face persian cat. She gets groomed regularly and she gets a "lion cut". I cannot emphasis enough, if you are looking for the BEST groomers in the Los Gatos area Foxy Hound is THE BEST. I also would like to note the owner and the staff are so warm and inviting. I feel very fortunate to have had my cat groomed by them for the past 4 years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Love LOVE our Australian Labradoodle's grooming result today. You are amazing and true artists! We are so glad to discover this place of business for our furbaby. Grooming sessions last 3-4hrs and our baby looks gorgeous and smells so fresh. The price is reasonable for the awesome results and great customer service despite Covid restrictions. Come visit this lovely GEM in West San Jose.

Very sad day for my puppy for his first cut. I made an appointment for mid morning and he was not ready until late afternoon. Came out with a poodle cut even though he is not a poodle( Australian labradoodle ) Definitely didn't get what I asked for. Receptionist was kind. Will not go back.

They did a super job on my GS. Shes white and she came out awesome. Pretty and they even gave her a scarf.

Best pet groomer every! We have three small poodles who get groomed regularly and have been coming to The Foxy Hound for almost 20 years. Used to have bet dogs and that did a wonderful job with them too. Highly recommend the service, staff and small business owner!

I brought my dog here for grooming and was very happy with the experience. Walter looks great and feels so soft and clean. I've taken him elsewhere and they cut his hair much too short. This place did an excellent job and I'll definitely bring him here for his next haircut and nail trim. When we picked him up he seemed very happy and relaxed and like he enjoyed his day at the spa!

I have been taking my girls to the Foxy hound for 5 to 6 years every 5 weeks and have always had the best service anyone could ask for! It is always nerve wracking when you drop your loved ones off for a grooming, but not here! The staff have always been wonderful, asking what it is the girls need for their visit; if I want to add a teeth brushing or hot oil.

They always pick up the girls with such care before taking them to the back. I would highly recommend the Foxy Hound to anyone! If I could give them more than five stars I would!

I have brought my English Cocker Spaniel Martin to the Foxy Hound several times and I am very satisfied with the quality of grooming, the ability of the staff to create the least stressful environment for dogs and with the friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend this place.

Brought my collie and sheltie in and still cannot believe the amazing job these folks did! Most groomers dont like to do collies in fact ive picked up my dogs from places where instead of taking the time to brush them out, they cut chunks of hair out. This shop took the time to gently brush out whatever needed to be brushed out. Not only were my babies beautiful when i picked them up, but they were happy and secure! I highly recommend these folks!

Karen and her team at Foxy Hound are truly lovely compassionate people who love animals. I actually purchased my Toy Poodle from her a month ago as her poodles came highly recommended by a close friend who has been going to Karen for 20 years! The minute I walked into The Foxy Hound I felt at home. As a first time pet owner I had a zillion questions and Karen answered them all patiently.

We took Boba in for his first grooming a few days ago and he actually fell asleep! That's the magic of Karen and her loving hands. Boba looks adorable and we couldn't be happier with the service. If you are looking for a groomer that understands dogs, lives and breathes animals and more importantly has been in business over 35 years The Foxy Hound is where you need to go.

I took my senior Maltese to Foxy Hound today for the first time based on a Nextdoor recommendation. I'm so pleased with how courteous, professional and helpful they were. My girl looks beautiful again because they took such great care in grooming her. The bonus is that they are close by. They're awesome! Thank you!

Do NOT bring your dog here! Possibly the worst groom we have had in ages. The owner is extremely rude and our dog looks worse than when he went in. We told the owner we were not happy with the grooming and she said our dog was difficult. Difficulty with our 15 pound dog hasn't been an issue anywhere else. I have a feeling they aren't particularly kind to the dogs, thus why he was scared beyond belief.

The owner then asked for tips and pay before we had even seen our dog. No thanks! We won't be coming back and don't suggest anyone else does either. I give them the extra star because they were able to take us last minute.

The Foxy Hound is the best! I've been taking my dogs here for. maybe 25 years I think! It began with the Lhasa Apso named Woofy my family got when I was ten, then we were given an albino Pekingese named Sugar a few years later. Both of those two have now passed, although they lived for 19 and 17 years, respectively. I now have a couple doggo homies named Scruffy, who has been part of the family for about 7-8 years, and Sid, who is approximately ten years old and was adopted into our family this past summer.

Both of them are the types of dogs that have hair, and will just continually grow longer and longer. So we continue to be patrons of this fine establishment. The grooming work is top notch, and is always worth the somewhat steeper price that you should probably expect of any business based in Los Gatos. If you have a pet that you've made a Foxy Hound appointment for, I highly recommend the Hot Oil Treatment.

It is an additional $10, but Scruffy has a somewhat course coat and with this he comes out feeling softer than I could ever get him trying to bathe him at home. and he doesn't even struggle against me during baths anymore! So for all intents and purposes, the conditions are right for me to give him a really good bath and even lathering him up three or four times doesn't do the trick.

The only issue with this place is that they have such a good reputation that it can often be quite difficult to get an appointment within the next week. So if you are interested in this place, I'd say you will have a much better overall experience if you are the organized type. I'm not organized at all and it is still well worth it, and I wouldn't take my guys elsewhere unless absolutely necessary.

Great service and customer care. My dogs are always happy for a visit and grooming. Same groomer for over 10 years - little if any employee turnover. Pricing is a bit higher than Petco but worth it. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
