The first time I used Micki, she seemed professional and conscientious, so I am baffled at her behavior the subsequent times I hired her. I don't really expect a lot from a cat sitter. They don't need to stay for an hour to try and cuddle or play with my cats. I know my cats won't be all that responsive to a stranger trying to love on them.

I just want them to be fed, their litter boxes to be scooped, their water to be filled, and their medications to be dispensed appropriately. And I want to know each day that they're alive and well. When I took a three-night trip, Micki appeared to have taken satisfactory care of my cats. She texted me daily to let me know how they were doing, which is something I truly appreciated, and when I returned, they seemed well fed and not stressed from my absence.

My only concerns at that time were that she gave my elderly cat too small of his dosage of glucosamine and she let their water get awfully low. One of the cats has a thyroid issue and absolutely guzzles water, so I'm pretty picky about not letting the water level get low. However, no harm was done, and the glucosamine thing is easy to mess up since I give my cat a bigger dosage than what is recommended, so I chose not to worry too much about it.

The second time she watched my cats, it was a disaster. I was going to be gone seven consecutive nights on a business/personal trip; this was the longest I had ever left the cats; and I worry a lot about them. I left specific instructions for her to text me daily to let me know how they were doing. Micki was horrible about contacting me. Every night around 9 or 10, after waiting to hear from her all day and feeling more and more anxious, I had to finally email or text her to ask about them.

The first couple of nights of my trip, she claimed that she had been sending daily texts and that maybe because I was in the mountains, there was a connection issue. Ok, I'll buy that.until the second part of my trip, which was in an urban area, and I still did not hear from her. I honestly don't know why each day she came she didn't just use her phone to take a picture of the cats right then and there and text me the picture to let me know they were ok.

That seems like a logical common-sense practice for a cat sitter. Instead, she leaves a log for the cat owner to review upon his/her return; a pointless way of sole communication because I want to know each day how the cats are doing. I'm sure other pet owners would agree with me on this point. I ultimately cut my trip short simply because I was so stressed out and worried.

Upon my return, the house smelled strongly of stressed-out cats. And they were within a few hours of running completely out of water. Unfortunately, due to several other cat sitters failing to respond when I contacted them as a possible replacement, I had to use Micki a few more times and it was the same story: despite my having left written and verbal instructions to ensure their water container was full and to text me daily to let me know their well-being, she did not do these two things.

I strongly suspect that she did not read the instructions I left her. The last time I used her, I was so nervous that I finally had my mom, who lives 40 minutes away, come to check to make sure the cats were ok. Why am I paying a cat sitter if I have to ask my mom to check on them? In all fairness, I do believe she showed up every day to feed them and scoop their cat boxes, but the lack of communication is unacceptable and I am surprised that she would let them almost run out of water. Each time I used her, I felt helpless to express my anger and frustration because my cats' well-being was in her hands.

Outstanding dog care. We had three dogs. Mikki took care of ours babies for years until we moved away from Colorado. She did an exceptional job. Extremely reliable, kind and compassionate. We recommend her for anyone who needs pet care. She will also check in on your house, if you are out of town.

Micki at all clawz n pawz is wonderful and a true animal lover! She's been our pet sitter for a couple of years now. She watches our cats when we leave town. All four cats get plenty of attention and all the necessaries are seen to. As our cats have gotten older she's even been great about giving them their medicine. Not an easy task with cats!

My husband and I previously had a neighbor doing food and litter while we were gone but the cats started showing us how unhappy they were by urinating outside the box. After the first time Micki watched our cats were astounded at how much happier our the cats were (and no more messes). We've been using her services ever since. Micki is professional and affordable and will give you updates on your pets as frequently as you'd like.

Although we don't have dogs I know that she cares for dogs and exotic animals as well as provides daily walking services and the like. I highly recommend All Clawz and Pawz, pet sitting services.
