Castle Rock Kennels provides the best quality pet boarding available. Located just south of Farmington, MN, our boarding kennels are on 22 acres and are surrounded by an apple orchard and a field with a pond. Your pet will enjoy lots of fresh air and excellent care. Our guests are let out individually, four times daily, to romp and play in our five yards which surround the kennel.

Services
DOGS: We have three kennel sizes for you to choose from: Our 5' x 10' kennels are mostly for dogs like Labs, Retrievers, or Great Danes, and can easily handle two dogs. Our 5' x 5' kennels are for dogs like Spaniels, Shih Tzus, and Terriers. Split Kennels: 2 - 5' x 5' kennels combined by a gate are ideal for multiple dogs from the same family, which need to be separated to feed.
Professional grooming is available upon request, and the price is based on the type of dog and the services required. Regular grooming should be an active part of your dog's care for maintaining good health. Advanced reservations are required. Whether you want a full groom for your pet or just a bath and nail trim, our professional groomers can do it all.
You can check in or out any time during our business hours. We bill like a hotel. If you check out in our morning hours, there will be no charge for that day. On occasion, the need arises to make special arrangements to drop off or pick up outside our business hours. A one day charge will be added to your stay.

I'm planning a trip later this Spring, So I thought I'd have a look. I had a tour, and it was Great. The kennel was Very Clean, and Most Important, Every dog, Big and Small, looked Comfortable & Happy! There was Plenty of room, the kennels were a nice size, not too big, not too small. The outside, was nicely fenced, with lots of grass, and room to play. My "tour guide" was lovely as well! All in all, I had the feeling of Caring and Kindness. It's got my Vote!

Very nice people there. My dog got out without her collar bc I was going to give her a bath, I went looking for her and while I was out animal control had stopped by my house per neighbor who saw.her at kik trip! So, she went to "jail" here, bail was $50, but that's ok bc the gals there trimmed her toenails. So glad she went there and not somewhere else! Very nice, understanding people there!

Well my dogs are alive and were heppy to see me when I got there to pick them up. Would of been nice to walk them back to their kennel area. Would of been even nicer to get an answer when we picked them up to, how did they do. We were concerned as both dogs were shelter dogs and over the years seem to be fine now but wernt sure how they would do back in an environment similar.
They also are shy or agressive towards new people. The answer we go to the question when we picked them up was something along the lines if "I do more of the grooming side here and I don't know anything bout their stay". we wont be back. Have another trip planned next month. Not sure what to do now.

Great people, service and location! My dog absolutely loves going to Castle Rock Kennels. I fully trust the staff with his care. They are friendly and you can tell they really care about the animals. I love that they are out in the country and my dog has room to play. Their rates are also very reasonable.
