I started using Doggie Central with our second dog back in 2003. Their interview process is very good as they make sure any new dogs can get along with the dogs they have boarded. She loved going to Doggie Central and seeing all of the other dogs. Since her passing we got another dog and have been taking her there as well. Every time we go, she gets very excited as she already knows she gets to visit other doggies.
I highly recommend Doggie Central. They've always been very good with our dogs. They've always accommodated any requests we've had. They are on top of bad schedules and our dog comes home very clean.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! I recently had my first boarding experience (5 days) at Doggie Central for my 10 month old black lab, Snacks, and it will most certainly be my last. They provide access to a live stream of the various boarding areas, and while I was watching Snacks during his 3rd day of boarding, I saw at least one dog attack him, which caused the caretaker to run over and take the other dog away.
I immediately called and asked if my dog was okay. The person at the front desk immediately went to check on what was going on. When they came back, they said that he was okay and the other dog would be permanently removed from the area. I was also watching the caretaker check on him, so I believed them and felt at ease about how it was being handled. I'm not going to fault a dog boarding facility for any issues like this, HOWEVER, when I picked up Snacks 2 days later, he had numerous obvious bite marks and small puncture wounds on both sides of his face!
I immediately went back in and asked them how they could miss this. Their response: there is nothing on his file about any incidents. How could he possibly be there for 2 more days and no one notice the obvious missing patches of hair on his face? There are also scabs on his face, so he must have been bleeding, which means he went multiple days without proper medical care for his wounds.
Not to mention, the other dog(s) who did this will be okay to board there again since there's no apparent record of any of this happening. I emailed them photos of Snacks' wounds and then took him to the vet and got him on antibiotics. The owner, Rigo, called me soon after we returned from the vet and apologized for his staff not following protocol and said they'd pay for any vet visit we have.
In my opinion, this seems like the absolute bare minimum they could offer but I'm not here to try to leverage my situation to get further discounts. The fact the pictures I sent them automatically caused them to offer vet reimbursement but did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING while Snacks was staying there tells me everything I need to know to advise anyone considering anything offered by Doggie Central to STOP AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. They do not actually care about your dog and their slogan on their website of "we cuddle your canine when you can't" could not be further from reality.

I wouldn't recommend this daycare. Dogs are divided by size but there are plenty of dogs mixed in with the smaller dogs. These larger dogs like to play but when it goes too far the staff do not intervene. Their line of " we cuddle your canine when you can't" is a fat lie. Dogs are ignored and pushed off. Each room has 1 bucket of water. 1 bucket 15+ dogs - that's awful.
No matter what time of day you check in or out you're guaranteed to be greeted with attitude. I think you're better off leaving your dog at home. Also - take a moment to head to the bottom of their yelp page. It's worth the time to read through the reviews the business paid to hide.

I was a little uncertain based on some other reviews about it not being staffed. I brought our pup Bugsy who is a little rambunctious 10 month old 32lb Cattle Mix and sometimes plays too rough for the small dog parks. Everytime I watch on camera there's a minimum of 1 and most often 2 staff members monitoring the dogs. He's gotten timeouts for excessive humping so I can tell the staff is monitoring the pups all the time. Thanks again Nephi for taking care of Bugsy! He loves it there.

I really like Doggy Central, and have been a customer for a number of years and will continue to use their services. Recently we went out of town and scheduled for my son to bring our dog, we had previously provided the shot information to Doggie Central before the appointment. When my son came to drop off our dog there were not shot records on file.
We are on the east coast and my son was about to fly out that day. We told him where the records were at the house and he redelivered the information. In the future we will confirm current shot records before scheduling any boarding.

This daycare was recommended to me by my dog's trainer. I have a very anxious, shy dog who probably would never enjoy any daycare! But at least I know she's safe at Doggie Central. The staff are super friendly and professional. They always give my dog her medicine and meals on time. The fact that my dog eats her meals there is a HUGE deal, and shows that my dog feels safe.
I also love that there's a webcam I can watch my dog on throughout the day. The prices are super reasonable, and dogs are divided into different play areas by size. Your dog does have to pass an "interview" to stay here (basically they make sure your dog isn't aggressive). I appreciate that all the dogs are vetted this way, and that all dogs have to submit proof of vaccinations.
I've never boarded my dog here, but I have asked a lot of questions about it. One thing I appreciate is that there are different sleeping options to choose from, including sleeping in a big room with other dogs, or sleeping in an individual crate with a staff member always nearby.

I recommend Doggie Central for boarding, I haven't used their other services but I'm sure they are great as well. My little pomeranian is a rescue and was severely abused before. Due to this, he's a fear biter and will growl and snip at you if you pet him or pick him up and he's not comfortable with you. I gave all this info to the staff as I don't want any of them to try to pet him and get bit.
They took this seriously and made notes in his file. I've boarded my dog there several times and so far, no issues. This is very different from a previous boarding place where I had a horrible experience (they didn't listen to my warning about him being a fear biter. And when he snipped at a staff, they called me and said I had to pick him up right away.
I was traveling for work and was overseas.that's why I had to board him!) Doggie Central also does not overfeed my dog (again, the previous place will overfeed him and then charge me for the extra food, not listen to my instructions). I always pack extra food for my dog and write notes on the bag on how much to feed him. Doggie Central actually follows the notes.
What I really like about them is they seem very responsible. When I first called to inquire about boarding, they scheduled a temperament meet-and-greet test first (the other place didn't do this). Once they learned about his fear issues, they made sure to note it in his file. The last time I boarded him, they noticed he started coughing and immediately called me to give me a heads up.
They put him in an isolated area so he won't infect other dogs. They also sent out an email to all dog owners to let them know that there were a couple cases of kennel cough in the last 4 days so owners can be aware. I thought this was very responsible of them. The place has someone 24 hours, and there is always a person in the room with the dogs.
You can also watch your dog on their doggie cam. The front desk staff always seem very nice. The fees are reasonable, and I definitely recommend this place. I feel I finally found a boarding place that is reliable and comfortable for my dog, especially since he gets scared so easily.

I was so excited to try this doggy day care for our pup. Unfortunately, I think other reviewer's are right. I think that they try with the cameras but the dogs are not monitored, they're not blended by age and activity well enough. the dogs are not matched behaviorally and unfortunately accidents happen but I do believe that these accidents could be prevented with better monitoring and just care overall.
We also did the swimming with our dog and she got an ear infection so I think there's a cleanliness issue at this business that needs so badly to be addressed I later found out that another friend took their puppy here for swimming lessons and they got an infection as well. So I'm afraid that they're quite a few issues with this business.
In just the few weeks that we brought our dog we saw and experienced cases of kennel cough, infections, bitings and scratches. I would say more than half of this is preventable with good care and a quality business. Unfortunately, if I lose your trust and the management and business does nothing for me as a customer, I can't see myself ever going back. Especially when there's a safety and health risk.

Well, my first impression. I was a little turned off from the fierce unpleasant odor. The receptionist 's attitude was just as stinky as the smell of the facility. I also thought, there are too many dogs and not enough employees to monitor the dogs. Reluctantly, I left my baby there hoping the best. After picking up my pooch, I noticed an odd discoloration on her snout and her jaw.
She has white fur markings face which had turned a dark gray, She was also lethargic and was sleeping frequently. My dogs behavior has always been alert and active. This was unusual behavior for her. Well, I almost cried when I examined her face thoroughly and found sores and infection from bite/teeth marks. I rushed my dog to the vet and it was confirmed.
Her jaw was infected! My dog was attacked! No one from Doggie Central notified me. That Cam crap is a joke! You see what they allow you to see. I immediately called the owner Rigo and of course he played nieve or dumb, but out of guilt, he offered to pay the veterinarian bill. A few days later, they did not offer, but I requested to view the video.
It was painful to watch. However, the dog monitor that was present during the attack did nothing to prevent it. Rigo claims the monitor did not report it to him. But to add insult to injury, because of my profession, after reviewing the video, It was obvious the the video had been edited. Please check out ALL of the previous reviews before leaving your dog in their care. The negative reviews sound a little repetitive. Think twice about Doggie Central! They are careless, dishonest and unprofessional!

Interesting that none of the reviewers have written many reviews at all. I brought my 20 lb dog Chuckie here for boarding over Labor Day weekend. He has a sore around his right eye and he is lifeless, lethargic, won't eat, and has lost a significant amount of weight. He also vomited shortly after coming home. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

I've been taking my puppy here for a few months for day care. She loves it here and is always wiped out for a whole day after which is impressive with her energy! They keep her safe (no toys or harnesses allowed). If I forget to bring food, they feed her for just $5 a meal. Every Saturday they do a discounted $25 day care that is always super busy with lots of dogs.
I can watch her on their doggie camera which is so nice! I've boarded her twice. I know that they don't do Crates here and they bring out beds for the dogs so I like that. Also I can ask them to groom her before I pick her up so she doesn't smell like 100 other dogs. I love this place and use their services often! I recommend them to anyone in the area looking for affordable and convenient dog boarding or day care!

Still coming here with our new dogs after our other two died. DC reached out when they heard they had died. So very kind of them. Our new dogs lulu and Rosie, who pees with excitement when she realizes she's going in, love it here. Love that we can watch them on the doggie cam too. Best place and best care givers of dogs when you need to leave them.

Doggie Central is our go-to boarding spot for our little terrier rescue! She loves it there so much and I'm pretty sure she ends up playing with the other dogs non-stop because when she comes back home after a few nights she's absolutely exhausted--we call it a Doggie Central party hangover! It's so nice to know that Doggie Central is always available on short notice for daycare and boarding, they're the best.

My dog Brody has been swimming before, but was always afraid of the water. He had his first swim lesson here at Doggie Central today. The instructor was so patient and friendly! By the end he was jumping into the pool himself. They had plenty of toys to grab his attention, and they provide towels to dry your dog after the lesson. She even cleaned his ears for me. Swimming lessons are only offered on weekends and the spots fill up quickly so call ahead to book early. I've also walked in for a bath before and they were able to take him right away. Highly recommend this place for your pet!

I felt I had to update my review now that our Maxi has passed. Our Maxi has been at Doggie Central since he was 8 weeks old and Rigo, Holly and the rest of the Doggie Central family has cared for him for 13 years. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Doggie Central for caring, loving and going above and beyond for our Maxi. We felt your love and will forever be grateful for everything you guys did!
Today we received this incredibly thoughtful gift! The card will be framed and the both card and candle will be placed with our Maxi. We love you guys and wish you all the best! Many many thanks! Dottie

I'm not gonna lie to you, sometimes when Kayla comes home from daycare, she absolutely reeks. especially those weeks where she's done daycare for 3 days. This probably has more to do with my sometime dirty girl and not the facility itself, lol. Here's what I love about Doggie Central. You can tell by talking to the front desk staff that they genuinely care about your dog.
It smells clean when you come in and they have a very well organized system. Kayla seems happy to go in and come home. Unlike the last daycare, Kayla (knock on wood) has not been subjected to aggressive dogs. We've kenneled overnight several times and for an extra charge, they'll give her a bath with an amazing brush out. Very thorough job. Prices are comparable to other daycares/boarding facilities in the area. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby!
