We provide care for companion dogs and cats, as well as exotic pets, including "pocket pets" (hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc.), reptiles, and amphibians. We provide limited services for birds. Warwick Animal Hospital is proud to have the highest level of accreditation available from the prestigious American Animal Hospital Association and has been an AAHA accredited hospital for 57 years.

Warwick Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately.
Born in Hibbing, Minnesota, Dr. Gustafson attended the University of Michigan where he earned B.S. and M.S. degrees. He received his DVM degree from the University of Georgia in 1980. He has been working as a veterinarian here at Warwick since graduation. It was his lifelong love of animals that inspired Dr. Gustafson to become a veterinarian.

Dr. Gustafson and his staff are absolutely wonderful! We had to take our leopard gecko in for a respiratory infection. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. He is also extremely knowledgeable and gave us a ton of information. The front desk staff and the techs are so nice too! I highly recommend this vet, especially if you have a reptile.

I visited this vet as a recommendation from my normal vet to care for my Guinea pig. The vet staff was friendly and pleasant, and the doctor did a great job of explaining the issues and treatment options, including referrals to exotic pet specialists. Everything was pleasant about the service I received on behalf of my pet.

We can't recommend Dr. Dove and the staff at Warwick Animal Hospital enough. Sarah was so kind and compassionate when I called to make the appointment to let out Sweet Roxy girl cross the rainbow bridge. The vet tech who came out to our car to bring us in for the appointment was sweet and caring and so gentle with our girl. Dr. Dove was so kind and compassionate and made the entire experience very comforting.
Overall this establishment and its people were a silver lining to an otherwise excruciating event. Our other two fur children will be going to Warwick Animal hospital from now on.

Found them after my bfs beardie seemed sick, not many offices had availability but they were able to get us an appointment right away. They gave me all the tools and information I needed to work at getting him better, offering affordable care, and gave him the utmost care in his last days. They also were very attentive and considerate to both of us during his euthanasia.
When a lost kitten found his way into my life, I knew I couldn't trust anyone else with the health and care for him. The doctors and staff are very personable and the love they have for animals really shines through even with the smallest interaction. My kitten comes back to me without any fuss or signs of being frightened which speaks volumes!

Everyone here is great. All four of my pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) go here for a few years now. I can call with any questions or concerns and they are quick with answering them and making sure my furbabies are happy and healthy. They don't mind checking to see if medication is cheaper somewhere else, so you can get everything squared away. Everyone here is awesome.

Dr. Gustafson and Dr. Dove are both wonderful vets! My dog Harley was diagnosed positive for heart worms, and they have both been dedicated to helping her get better without trying to push anything I can't afford. They are also both very honest and if I can get something cheaper elsewhere they will not hesitate to tell me, which I appreciate so much!
They take the time and are very patient to answer any questions I may have, and go over all of Harley's options with me. I cannot recommend anything else because Warwick Animal Hospital truly goes above and beyond, even checking up on Harley after her Vet appointment.

I just took my bearded dragon Alejandro here! he saw Dr Gustafson and I can't reccomend him enough! he gave my baby a VERY thorough new client exam and gave me a very detailed health report on stuff to improve on and reccomendations on what products to use! he is highly experienced in reptiles, which is what I look for especially in my exotics!
