At Sonoran Desert Pet Resort we provide a new high standard in pet care. When you have to leave, let your pet stay with the best. Our resort is more than just a place to stay; it is truly a vacation destination for your pets! Countless hours went into the design of our facility to ensure the highest quality of care in an environmentally controlled and monitored facility with an emphasis on health and cleanliness.
We understand that some animals are timid or shy and prefer to spend time in small enclosures similar to the crates that they have at home. Some animals are very social and prefer a traditional dog kennel. And yet others prefer to have a large, quiet area away from the other pets. We believe that the unique design of our facility offers the best boarding solution for every pet!
We use the latest in force dryers from Metro and Edemco. Our Metro Air Force dryers allow our groomers to force dry your pet by hand. The pet is then transferred to our state-of-the-art Edemco F500 for final drying. The F500's powerful motor moves an impressive 1,400 cubic feet of air per minute - enough to dry up to eight dogs in an hour.
A team trainer can help your dog be the best he can be. We offer Enrichment Training covering Basic Manners (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced) for your dog while he is visiting us for daycare or boarding. During this course, a team trainer will work privately with your pup during daycare or boarding on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 8, 15-minute sessions to focus on Basic Manners including come, sit, stay/place, lay down, leave it, loose-leash walking, and manners at the door. The course will conclude with a Graduation Certificate and a video of how the manners were taught so you can continue the training at home.

Our dogs, Beau and Sasha, have been going to SDPR for daycare and boarding for 10+ years. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the dogs are always well cared for and excited upon our arrival at the facility. As many others have noted, the facility is always clean and the prices are fantastic!

OUCH! We were travelling through town and needed to board our dog for 2 nights. We told the nice people there that Jasper has separation anxiety. I got a text later that day saying he broke a nail so they trimmed them and it would cost $12. (Didn't sound like a big deal.) When we picked him up, he was hopping around on three legs and his front paw had a broken nail down to the quick ~ Bleeding and a mess.
I took him to the vet, $260 later, he's bandaged and on med's. I called the owner (Jon?) and he explained that Jasper clawed at his gate to get out and injured himself. He said he was aware of the anxiety, but it happened. My thoughts on that; 1. yes it was Jasper's self infliction, but could something be done to the inside of those enclosures so they can't hang a nail should they claw?
I hope that this doesn't happen to another dog. It's been 3 weeks now and he still isn't healed. This is going to take a long time. It is like losing a toenail on a person. Very painful and long recovery. 2. They heard him frantically trying to get out, could they have handled him/it better? I think so. BTW- this is not about trying to get compensated for it, just about making those enclosures the safest they can be. The facility is clean and the staff I dealt with was friendly. However, can't give 5 stars as my went in healthy and came out injured.

Our dog adores Sonoran Pet Resort. He gets excited as we near and leaps out of our car to run inside with his tail wagging. They greet him by name and give him pets and rubs as they walk him back to the playroom. He comes home tired and happy. He smells as sweet as he left our home and has never had a bad experience.

I brought my two Australian Shepherds, Charlie and Daisy, to Sonoran Desert Pet Resort during the Christmas holidays 2021. SDPR handled our dogs beautifully and the dogs came home happy, healthy, and well-adjusted. SDPR is clean, well-managed, and staffed by professional people who love pets. I plan to take our dogs to SDPR again this summer when we are traveling.

Sonoran Desert Pet Resort is a wonderful company and we are glad to have them in our community. They have great people who love the animals and take great care of them. My dog just loves it when she gets to go for a play day (long or short) and the extra services they offer are a great help for things like teeth brushing, nail clipping ear cleaning etc.
