My friends and family thought I had lost my mind when I sold my house and left a successful 23-year career with Nike, Inc to launch my own business. Even my daughter Keelie, a certified veterinary technician and canine massage therapist, questioned my decision. Our business is a full-service pet care facility based in Beaverton, Oregon.

I've been going to Noah's Arf for almost 7 year. Faith is fantastic. Dog wash area isn't always kept super clean, but it has never been so bad that I wouldn't bathe my dog there. They're not always great about answering the phone, but they're pretty good about returning calls. They've had a recent outbreak of kennel cough, so I'm going to avoid day care and boarding for a while.
They can be pretty crowded since their downtown location closed due to a lost lease. 3/2022: New owners are very nice. Still too early to know for sure, but the dog wash is still excellent and my pup loves a day at the "spa." 6/2022: I'm not sure if business has grown THAT much or if there are some organizational issues going on. The front desk area is a wreck.
I have not looked into the dog play area. The dog wash area has been maintained well. When I have been there, multiple times, and Shane and Tracey (owners) are on the front desk, things have seemed to be on the verge of a meltdown. I'm very close to lowering my rating from 4 stars to 3.

I'm beyond satisfied with the grooming provided to my fur baby by Gabby. She was sweet, very knowledgeable and even noticed and advised me of a bump on his leg. My dog was happy and relaxed when I picked him up which means, he had a good experience. The staff was nice, cordial and very funny. I definitely will bring him over again.

We boarded our cat recently while we were out of town. This was the first time we have ever boarded an animal. The cat area provided plenty of space in the individual pens and they are let out one at a time to explore the open area of the cat room. The staff also appeared to really care for the animals. Overall it was a good experience.

Speechless The owner said it's my dog's fault. This happened all the time. 1, you guys have time zoom call but don't have time call us. We took him to ER the doctor said that deep cut should bring to ER immediately.(you call it professional?) 2, if I didn't post anything I probably never hear a word from you guys.(you claim your guys dog lover?) 3, if my dog have any behavior problems why you not say anything before.
This not first time I leave my dog there. (I guess jeepo just decided I gonna be a bad dog today) 4, you didn't say it's rare to happens you tell us happen ALL the time. I understand how hard to run a business but to be a human we should have conscience too.

This people called my 17-year-old for an interview told him that his appointment would be at 9am to 12pm. My minor child shows up to a working interview when it is snowing outside and icy outside and they rejected him indicating that he did not show up for time when in fact it was per their request time. Then they emailed my son again asking him to show up for a different date to an interview when they already put his life in jeopardy very poor management very poor ownership and I hope anyone that is reading this has a h heart to understand the 17-year-old risked his life coming to an interview during this stormy ice weather and shame on you Thank you for your response very much appreciate it.
However your response is not truthful and that's proven within your own response By acknowledging that there was a mixup which only accrued from your end not ours. Just note that a 17-year-old came in to interview and you turned him down in such a hazardous condition and you did put his life in jeopardy so again very shameful on you

I heard that Noah's Arf has been around for awhile and when I called to ask if I could drop off my dog for the first time in a couple of hours, they were very accommodating. It's clear that they really love dogs and they gave me a little assessment for my pup when I picked him up. Prices are comparable to other doggy day care places, I only wish they had cameras so we can check in on our little guys!

My boxer is 9 years old and has always stayed with family, but since we have moved to the area, we needed to find trustworthy people for our pup when we travel. Noah's Arf was great, from drop off to pick up. They were okay with me calling and checking on him (I was def a nervous momma). When I picked him home he had a great lil report card, and he came home a very happy pup! Will absolutely be coming back!

We brought our dog to Noah's Arf for about 6 months given it's proximity to work - for context, he's a large rescue who isn't great with understanding boundaries. We were given a warning for his nippy behavior about a month into attendance and didn't hear about this again, so we bought a 10 pack of passes. After using the 10th pass, I was told quite unceremoniously that he "wasn't welcome back" out of concerns for safety of the other dogs.
I would *never* want any dog to be unsafe because of my dog's behavior; however, to wait until the end of the 10 pack to presumably avoid refunding my money and then dismiss him is (pathetically) unprofessional at best. My suggestion for this scantly outfitted operation: don't bring your dog here! The expense you'll incur isn't worth it - if you want to be treated like garbage, then by all means, they'll do just that.

I've been a regular customer at Noah's Arf since the summer. Lilly Belle is so excited to come here she paws at her kennel door to get out right away! The staff have come to know her (as me) by sight and truly love her. We definitely don't feel like just a customer, but a part of the Noah's Arf family. For me, this high level of customer service is essential to keeping my business.
Their front office is clean, with helpful items for sale, and the desk is always staffed (unlike some other centers that I've had to wait for someone to come to the front!). Carolyn always keeps me apprised of the number of remaining visits I have left before I run out. When I pick up my baby at the end of the day, I know she has had a fun day full of safe play in a home where people love her!

Had our puppy groomed there this morning. It was her first time. The whole experience was fantastic. We were greeted with a professional and warm manner. Monica came out and took our little girl. She asked about the trim, length, face etc. Came back in an hour, and saw a perfect groom. Monica was great as was the whole experience.

Our pups did great here for overnight kennel. I was impressed with how smooth check in was. Our dogs love walks and making new friends (with 2 legs and 4) and there was plenty of opportunity for that. They were so happy to see our return but we also got a great report on their behavior and who their new friends were. It was like they had gone to camp. :) This will now be our go to place.

As most people know beagles are very difficult and dont listen. Which makes it hard to get her groomed. We tried this place out the first time to just get her nails clipped and they were very understanding they did a great job keeping our pup calm and getting the job done. I've gone back multiple times now just because of the care and dedication they provide to our pup.

This place is disrespectful towards pets. If you love your pet? Please dont take them here. Towles were filled with dog hair. They brought me a basket of nail trimmers and brushes that were nasty, and full of other dog hair. It's not hard to clean brushes. If you dont use a brush with someone else's hair in it on yourself. Why would you think it was ok for your pet? Aprons were full of dog hair that got on your clothing. Front desk was not friendly. Stay away. Hopefully they are closed soon or change their ways for the better

Worst experience ever. Last Sunday we took our dog (a 10 pounds mini labradoodle) for a "you wash bath". We gave her a bath and when we started drying her with their towel realize that a bunch of dog hair came out (our dog doesn't shed yet so this hair wasn't hers). We tried a different towel but all were dirty with dog's hair. We decided to use the dryer but it was so strong (with cold air!) that our small dog couldn't handle it.
We came out and complained about both the towels and the dryer and we got no response. The lady just stared at us and nodded. No apologies, no refund, nothing! We ended up paying $16 for the worst bath ever and leaving with our wet dog. We are never coming back to this place. Terrible service and rather dirty facility!

I had my cat stay here for the first time through my vets recommendation since my vets place was booked up. When I came into the kitty condo place, he looked relaxed and comfy. I loved that the kitty condos are separate from the dog kennels and there's other kitty friends nearby in the other condos. I also got a cute report card and was happy to learn that he got some interaction and floor time with the staff. It made me feel better about leaving him for vacation. I will be taking him in again!

I'm sorry to hear about a negative experience moving from the downtown Noah's that closed to this location. I did the same thing, and my Abi has been just as happy if not happier. She was a puppy mill mom that I rescued and she goes every single day during the week. She has been going to a Noah's location since February 2013, and she is seven years old.
She has a group of "regulars" that are friends that she hangs out with. I believe you can be very confident that if your dog likes being with other dogs then he/she will enjoy Noah's. I find the staff to be friendly and attentive. I can't disagree more with the negative reviews, at least from our perspective. Boarding or daycare, Noah's Arf is terrific!

Absolutely will not return. Please think twice before taking your dog here. I have taken my dogs to Noah's Arf for over 5 years. When they closed their shop in NW Portland, I followed them to Beaverton. I just took my dog in Wednesday and the experience was terrible. I noticed my dog limping yesterday. This morning when I inspected, I found half of his pad ripped off!
He is 15 years old and has never had a problem like this. Literally, we just walked around our black yesterday when I noticed his limp. NA didn't say anything about it! In fact, when I picked him up, staff was rude and over the top offensive. I've called several times and haven't heard back. Please PLEASE think twice before you put your pups here.
This is absolute neglect! *** Update: I've continued to reach out over the weekend & haven't been able to connect. I'm immensely disappointed. My dog has been downright depressed -- his limp is so bad we can't walk very far and we would walk 1-2 miles daily before.

We have taken our dog here to board a few times a year for the last 3 years. It's the first place where he was willingly running into the play area without looking upset we were leaving him, and he is always thrilled to be there. The staff are friendly and easy enough to contact about scheduling and adjusting pick up days, etc. I'd love prices to be less expensive but I don't think they're unreasonable.

Can't recommend. I had a good first experience with serious, competent staff. All was well. But then another time a flighty, disorganized employee took my info over the phone and didnt inspire confidence. At drop off the same person got my instructions wrong and my dog only got half her meds over a 4 day period. On pick up a different employee was appalled and said she would look into it, but there was no follow up. I'm not leaving my dog with that goofy employee again - I just dont feel like she will get it right. I'd rather move on than take a chance.

Took my 10 month old lab here for the first time and I was very please! It was definitely worth every penny of the $33. From what I could see the staff is great & they seem to genuinely care about your pet. When dropped her off they had her in a little holding area to process and sniff, as well as to let the other dogs sniff. When I got there to pick her up I peeked through the glass to see what she was doing and she was having a great time. Boy was she wore out, falling asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. Will definitely be back!

I just started taking my gsd 1 year old to this daycare. My cat will be staying at ther kitty condo when I travel this year. I usually use sniff in the pearl so I have high standards for my dog. I really like this place. The staff is extrely friendly and knowledgeable. The play area is clean and well attended. It is not too crowded. I am very fussy about my Shepard and they have been very professional about her care!

We take our dog here for day care maybe 2-4 times a month. He is medium sized (26 lbs) and usually ends up in the small dog area. He is clean when we pick him up. They clean the dogs when you pick them up with some kind of sanitizer, which works good. We've used another day care place in Tigard and our dog was quite dirty from that place's rubber floor when we picked him up.
All in all, a 5 star day care would be leaving our little boy at someone's home for full time personal care, but besides that unrealistic option, Arf has worked well for us. We will keep taking him there as needed. Their location is close to Nike, if you happen to work there.
