When you bring your dog here, you get more than just doggy daycare. Rosanne and Bob fully understand dogs and how to train each dog, and the pack. My dog is a happier and better behaved dog each time he is here. He's worn out, had a super fun day and learns how to be in a pack having fun. It's more than just a place for your dog to go while you're at work.

I have been bringing my dogs here for seven years. Bob is always attentive to the dogs and takes a genuine interest in their well being. Both my dogs come home tired and pooped. I use to live at the Ellicott Lofts, a few hundred feet from their location. I know live in Lewiston and still drive to the city to Puppy Playpen and will continue to do so.
In some instances I have used Bob and Co. for boarding. The dogs are cared for like their own. Best of all. The prices are reasonable! I would recommend Puppy Playpen to any dog owner who loves their pets. Guinness and Daisy would do the same!

Our two dogs have been part of the Puppy Playpen family for over 9 years. When we even mention the name of the place, they are ready to go! Boundless energy becomes much more manageable at home after a long day of play and interaction and I am so thankful for the dedicated and helpful staff. The owners are on site and very involved all day every day, so they know all the dogs and their individual needs.
I always feel so comforted knowing that my dogs - who are family to me - are safe, secure, happy and busy socializing and playing. It is obvious to me that these people know a lot about dogs and it is reflected in their quality of service and in how my dogs respond to an invitation to go to the Puppy Playpen!

This place was truly horrifying. I stupidly bought a Groupon for this daycare before I checked it out myself. The staff were completely nasty and rude and didn't even offer to show me around. They were only concerned that my dog had the Leptospirosis shot because there was a problem with rats. The building itself is just an old falling apart house that the owners have gutted so the dogs can run around the downstairs.
There are scratches on the doors, floors, and walls. (I understand scratches here and there, but this was over-the-top.) I remember it being rather dark inside, too. I ended up feeling so awful leaving my dog there for even one day that I ended up getting him early and he never ever went back. If you love your dog, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. (And I bet the people who continually bring their dogs here have unfortunately never seen a real doggy daycare.)
