Well worth the overall price considering you will have a lifetime of proper training, obedience and love with your dog. Even though my puppy and I recently began obedience training with them, I'm overall excited to see the excellent outcome and reputation I've heard and read about. Love that it's a family owned and operated facility as well as they make all the training materials after researching what works best best for dogs, and people all on site. Like that if needed you and your dog can get any extra attention/help in order for one to succeed. P.S. Appreciate that it's all praised based training as well.

We brought our Aussie for training here 12 years ago. She spent her life as a very sweet and active family member that went on many adventures with us. Throughout it all, she behaved so well with what she learned at Cedarwoods. Thanks! I sure hope my daughters will bring their dogs here too.

Cedarwood was extremely helpful with our pups. They're small and needed custom training collars and modified training for their quirks. No problem for this awesome organization. We'll be back for the off leash class.

When we enrolled our 6 pound jack Russell in the training course at Cedarwoods, I wasn't expecting more than a way to actually teach my daughter how to communicate with her dog, but we got was so much more! I was raised around dogs with my father being an excellent trainer and dog whisperer. The training techniques at Cedarwoods are really a way of "speaking the dogs language." You have to help dogs understand their place in the pack if you want them to have manners, but I experienced nothing in the vein of what the negative review on here is referring to. The corrections taught are assertive, communicative, but not cruel. I highly recommend this establishment to train and board your dogs without question.

Great teaching institute, for my dog and more importantly for me! Who knew dog training involved 90% training yourself. Sam is awesome and totally the best dog whisperer I have ever met. I get compliments about my well behaved pup now.

I'm surprised this place isn't harassed by animal rights groups. I ended up quitting half way through for the abuse they wanted me to push on my dog to force her to obey. After a couple months my dog was aggressive and reserved. I am so glad that I pulled my dog from there and ended up finding a great trainer who focused on positive reward treat training, where I wasn't taught to hit my dog with the leash to makeover obey. I will never refer anyone who likes their dog to go to Cedarwoods.

I admit I was a little skeptical about this training at first. Especially when so much of it was spent talking to the humans and very little time spent with the dogs, BUT our dog has never been better. The tools we learned were invaluable. It really is more about training the human than the dog. As long as you stick to the training and stay consistent you will be rewarded with a great life with your doggy.

We are only a few weeks into Basic Obedience but are already seeing results in our pup. It is clear that Sam loves his work and truly cares about every dog that comes through his program.
