Sheboygan humane society is a wonderful place with delightful staff. They share our love for Fur Babies' and work hard to create a loving environment until they make it home to their worried family, or home to their expectant family. Lots of adorable expectant faces and wagging tails, I wanted to take them all home. If you have room and are looking for a pet, your new best friend could be waiting for you.

Once they get for sure up and running its gonna get a nice place. and they will have a public dog run next to there building free of charge. witch is great for the dog owners because we don't rilly have any of them in sheboygan. hopefully having this one up and running soon that the city will make more dog runs.

Took a walk through this amazing new space for all strays and animals in need, and am in awe! The facility is nicely designed with the animals' comfort and needs as priority. The building has great spaces for the animals, but also for families who are hoping to adopt. This is a no-kill facility, so right away, I was sold and wanted to be part of this Society!
The staff and many volunteers were so compassionate and eager to show us around and tell us their story. It seems our animals are in good hands. in all walks of life! Please visit, consider adopting and/or volunteering! You cannot make a bad choice here.

Not impressed. Filled out the app and specified 2 cats I was interested in. Was approved and told one cat was no longer available and made arrangements to drive 1.5 hours to view the other cat and any others available. The day before I got there they decided the 2nd cat had to be outdoor (barn) only, but waited until I'd driven there (gas $3.69/gal, 2 disabled older women and a kid that had a tooth removed the day prior) to inform me that cat #2 was no longer available for me and all other young cats were already spoken for.
They tell you that cats are available on a first come basis, but then hold them if an application has been submitted. Waste of time, waste of money and heartbreaking when family was expecting me to come home with a new friend after losing our other one last month. One phone call or asking me to "reserve" another cat I might be interested in would have avoided the entire fiasco.

I can't say enough about the Humane Society! Lol They have all kinds of services, pet adoption pet supplies and then one of the most important things, a low cost spay of neuter that makes sense, if you compare this to a traditional veterinarian clinic, which can be very expensive to say the least! Lol I trusted them with my dog Megan and had her spayed because I couldn't really afford paying for puppies! Lol I was extremely grateful and impressed with their work, and how they have a vet examined all the dogs before they are fixed.
I think that they don't really get enough credit for all the services that they provide to all animals! They also provide 3 days of pain medication that you can give to your dog. I was very grateful and thankful that Megan made it through the surgery quite well! I'm so proud of the work that they did for Megan and I can comfortably say that they can be trusted with your pet!

Just adopted my fur companion. HSOSC was very helpful. she is so sweet and well adjusted. she does have some special needs but they communicated very well with me prior to the adoption to make sure i understood her needs and what i was taking on when the adoption happened they provided me enough medicine and food for over a month with plenty of time to get her set up at my vets office.

Went here to see if I could adopt a dog to acompany my current dog. Sadly I cant give full 5 stars. When I visited, someone mentioned another building was on the works. And I sure hope it will expand the front desk and kennels for the dogs. First, front desk area was TIGHT. I had to wiggle around other people who were waiting. They didnt have a sitting area either.
The kennels are.plainly sad. Very small, so much echo from the barking that just stresses anyone double. Barely room to walk around. Many of the dogs seemed stressed. I would honestly suggest they make the kennels slightly bigger. Help reduce sound from each kennel. Have warm light instead of this bright hospital white. And yes, have a sitting area for people at the front desk.
This is mainly a review for the place, yes. This are. I believe.simple fixes that could help people adopt faster. 1-sitting area will help ease up adoptees. 2-kennel fixes will help dogs calm down.which will make it easier for people to adopt them faster. The staff is nice though, and they do seem like they care. Just hope the new place being built helps with the problems I saw.
