Cats & Rabbits & More is not a shelter or a rescue group and therefore does not take in animals. Contact a rescue group or shelter in your area if you are unable to keep your pet. Cats & Rabbits & More supports the efforts of rescue groups and shelters through this website. Sales of products through the website help us to cover our expenses, and we are happy to make annual donations to animal rescue groups.

Cats & Rabbits & More was founded in 1997 by Amy Spintman. Amy is a life-long cat lover and became a "rabbit person" too when she adopted her first rabbit, Lacey, in 1995.

Special needs rabbits. The phrase calls up images of rabbits with various permanent disabilities: deaf, blind, splay-legged, paralyzed. Without doubt, such rabbits belong in this category. Yet any one of our rabbits could become a special needs rabbit should it become ill or if it should simply live until it develops some of the infirmities of old age.

They are a phenomenal resource for any rabbit owner. Not only do they help with adopting but they do also do grooming and have supplies for rabbits. Donations are accepted too.

This place is awesome! I found a bunny that was left on the street in front of my work, and was referred to them for information and help. Because of them, I now have a house rabbit that is potty trained and just cruises around the house. Probably one of the coolest pets ever, but without their help and information I would not have known how to care for, feed, or house a pet bunny.

They really went the distance to help me out, and I'm grateful. Any supplies you could ever want are available here, along with a lot of advice and knowledgeable, caring people. I highly recommend their free Bunny 101 class for those new to having a bunny. Realize also, bunnies are pretty high maintenance. They are certainly not for everyone, in spite of how well our bunny has fit into our household it took a lot of work on our part.

They like to chew, and phone chargers, lamp cords, computer cords, HDMI cables - nothing will be spared. You really have to work to bunny proof your house and protect your bunny from electrocution. Again, all the help the SDHRS gave me helped him fit into our household as well as he has.

I always take my bun here for boarding since I travel quite a bit. The services they offer are amazing. I can always make sure he gets the exact same feeding schedule he gets at home, and they have tons of toys I can just buy online and they will bring it right to him while he is there :) Bunny room service

I've been a bunny owner for over 15 years and this place is the very best! We have boarded our bunnies there before and I knew they were absolutely cared for, loved, and in a very safe and clean environment. You need somebody to help you with your bunnies please go here! What a beautiful organization it is.

If I could give them 0 starts I would. DO NOT SUPPORT SDHRS! I am APPALLED by the unprofessional and rude nature of all of the management at sdhrs. I was looking for a second rabbit to adopt in hopes of bonding them with my current rabbit. The counselor and management I interacted with was rude and condescending in every step of the process to try and adopt.

Overall I was denied because I would be moving next August and that they wanted to protect their rabbit from a harsh adjustment such as that. They choose to gatekeeper their rabbit rather than having them go to a good home. I will never be donation for attending bunny fest eve again and I will be encouraging others to do the same.

Our go-to place for bunny supplies (hay and bedding mostly), and also for bunny housing when we take a trip somewhere. Make sure to plan advance. Rooms can get full, and for shopping most orders are fulfilled the next day. Simply pull the car to the back to pick up your order. Prices are very reasonable.

This is a fantastic organization. They take in and at-home bunnies, educate bunny mothers-to-be, and carry a full line of bunny care products. Of particular interest are their boxes of hay, which are higher quality and dramatically less e pensive than anything you will find in a pet store, and their high end pellets, which are better priced than elsewhere. On weekends they have bunny meet and mingle events, so your rabbit can socialize. This is a nonprofit organization of volunteers, they could use your support.

Adopted my bunny from here 3 months ago - they do a great job making sure you really have a good idea of what you're getting into with Bunny 101 class and a helpful website. Also, they have a full store with cheapest mixed hay and best daily boarding rates in the SD area as far as I know. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my bunny since all the staff already know and love her! Finally, bunny yoga!

Amazing place to adopt a rabbit. Huge collection of rescues, events, and even an education for new owners for rabbits to teach you the essentials of bunny raising. On top of that they have a grooming station for your bunny and lessons on how to groom your own, and a store that had had all their research done on the products they sell to ensure it's safe and enjoyable for your bunny.

All volunteers show a passion and love for rabbits. They also stay in contact and guide you after an adoption. One can buy hay and toys in their small shop too!
