Time For A Walk

TFW has been walking my dog for quite some time. my regular walker is sweet and caring. The company is responsive and professional. They take perfect care of my fur baby.

TfaW provides an incredible service with excellent communication and their walkers are so caring.

Use their services when work takes me out of town. Have no complaints and they've provided a valuable and needed service as my hyperactive sport model dog (what was I thinking?) needs his daily walk or I pay a heavy toll. Good pricing and have never missed a needed appointment.

We have used TFAW for nearly 3 years for two different dogs and a cat. They have shown great responsiveness, responsibility, and care for our pets. Our current greyhound adoptee is a retired racer from the track and did very well transitioning into his life as a retiree. One area he had trouble was trusting a walker he'd only met a couple times coming into the house to take him out for a walk.

He did great with us, but had been through major life changes recently and a whole new home that could all have contributed to his stuborrness with strangers TFAW showed such great patience. They tried different walkers and different methods to having him warm up to the concept. They have been succesful in getting him to go for his walks. He's come a long way and is opening up a little more to them every day and it's due to their care and patience.

Their system of billing has always worked out easy for us and the process for cancelling a walk is smooth and dependable. Everyone in the office is always helpful and responsive too.

I used Time For A Walk for a handful of visits over Christmas. The office assistant, Sharon, was very responsive and also did our client consultation and was a pleasure to work with. My dog's sitter came reliably and I appreciated that he was clearly genuine and honest (ie for one walk he mentioned that Brody mostly sniffed around rather than covered much distance, which is totally true and showed me that I wasn't just getting a canned message about his walk).

The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is how tedious the client registration process was. After my initial email inquiry, I was sent a 15 page document to complete, scan, and send back- all before even confirming my service requests were doable or answering my questions about how billing would work. I know there are online portals for walk services that might have made getting set up a little more convenient, and which allow for email walk messages rather than the paper and pen notepad messages. But again, no complaints about the staff or service that would prevent me from recommending this business- just some opportunities for the client-side experience.

Please--- I BEG of you. Do NOT try to work here. You'll do nothing but waste your time.

TFAW dog walkers and cat sitters have always been GREAT. Have used them for daily walks, overnights, week- long care. they give meds, handle energetic dogs and talkative cats with grace and a sense of humor. ALWAYS accommodating and reliable. Our relationship with TFAW spans 8 years, and multiple cats and dogs.

These guys are great. They are consistent, polite, safe and the customer service is great. We have used them daily for 3 years now. The prices for dog walking can't be beat for the service, security and peace of mind they provide.

I've been working with this company for the last 2 years. They are dependable, organized, detailed and easy to work with. Greg usually walks our dogs. He is exquisite. Highly recommend!

I have used TFAW since moving to Arlington 3 years ago. I've liked everyone I've talked to within the company but I adore my daily walker, Greg. My dog, Fiona, is skittish around new people but has responded amazingly to Greg. On the few occasions where I've been home (between appointments) and seen them interact, Fiona is genuinely excited to see him.

It is such a comfort to me to know that Fiona is well taken care of while I'm away during the day. My staff interactions have been equally positive and I enjoy supporting this company.

I've used TFAW for almost a year now and am leaving the service only because I'm moving out of state and wish I could take Carol with me! The customer service is great and the price is competitive for the area. They worked with me when I had a 6 month old puppy in coming a few times a day and would call me if she got into something. Carol definitely is an animal lover and I've had a very pleasant experience working with them, if I've had issues it's because I wouldn't hear the phone ring when they needed let in on late add-on walks, whoops! I would definitely recommend them :

I've used them many times since approximately 2008 for cat-sitting services (including medicine administration) and find them very reliable and conscientious. Never have to worry while I'm away. Would strongly recommend them. Prices are reasonable too.

Excellent Customer Service! We started using TFAW about 18 months ago, when our dog was a helpless little squiggly puppy, and they have taken fantastic care of him ever since. In addition to hiring conscientious walkers, they're extremely easy to work with on scheduling and payment. Highly recommend!

TFAW walked my less than perfect dog for 6 months and I would definitely recommend the service. I lived in a large apartment building and signed up for daily 15 minute walks. The price was right and my dog was always walked. There was an incident while my regular walker was on vacation but the office staff handled it promptly. My regular walker also picked up all the weekend and after work walks, which was a nice plus. TFAW was very patient and understanding when my dog behaved poorly the first few attempts at walking him. It was a huge relief that they continued to work with him/us. The office staff was always quick to communicate any issues and confirm additional or cancelled walks.

I've been using TFAW for 6 months now and they have been great! My dog is a very.particular.dog. He's tough to get motivated for a walk, and very stubborn (typical to the breed). My walker seems to get the pup out, and it's just such a relief to know my dog gets a chance to get some fresh air and go to the bathroom while I'm at work. Recently, I had a chance meeting with the walker, as I don't think my cancellation email made it to him.

It was nice to meet him, and he even chatted with me and let me know he had researched the breed and we exchanged some notes on caring for the dog. Even through a move TFAW and my walker didn't skip a beat, and luckily I'm in range to keep the same walker. TFAW is highly recommended!

Found Time for a Walk on yelp after another pet walking company was fully booked up. I am so happy I read through the reviews. I met with Christina for the initial visit and she thoroughly explained the process and came out to meet my pup! The best part is honestly coming home to a written note each day to hear about the adventures of Cinder and her walker. Excited to have them in our lives!

I am really happy with TFAW after first time using their service last week. The overall service is great. The staffers and the owner are very nice and professional. When I came back from the trip from overseas, I was so happy to see the note that our dog walker, April, had recorded everytime she came. My dog Chai seemed to be happy with April which usually he is a grumpy chihuahua.

Anyway I am highly recommend Time for a Walk for people who are looking for dog walkers. The cost of the service is reasonable and the owner and the staffers are very nice. I am again very please with the service. Thank you again TFAW!

I have been using TFAW for midday walks for the last 3+ years. We've had the same walker for almost the entire duration (except for a few substitutes here and there for vacation/illness, etc.) and we've had zero problems. They're very reliable and leave a note after every walk. It's not the first time I've used a dogwalking service and they satisfy all my needs.

Not to mention, the price is right. Every once in a while there seems to be a disconnect between the office staff and the actual walker. I'll cancel a walk because my husband is working from home and the walker still shows up. It's no big deal; just a little awkward. I would recommend TFAW to a friend.

We have been using TFAW for weekday walks since June of 2010 and have been very happy. The walkers have always made an effort fit into Charlie's routine and make him feel comfortable. They always leave notes of who was here and when. My only concern has been with the number of different walkers we've had this year, but I won't dock them any stars for it. I recognize it can be tough to find help that doesn't come and go quickly.

Buyer beware! If you want a safe, reliable, and trustworthy company to walk your dog; look elsewhere! I began daily walks with "Time For a Walk" in early February 2011. During my initial consult, I stressed the importance of A) meeting the walker before the service began and B) obtaining references for the walker and/or company. I repeated my requests several times and was always provided with suspicious excuses.

I continued the service during the first week with hesitation. On the fourth day of service, I came home to find the front door of my home locked but OPEN! Thankfully my dog was still in the home but I can not imagine what could have happened due to the negligence of this company and their dog walker. I was shocked with this discovery and when calling the company to complain, the only response of the owner was to insist that they have never had complaints with my walker and to encourage me to allow them to provide references for him. Needless to stay, I canceled the service and have since found a reliable and reputable walking service.

Upon mentioning this incident to a neighbor; she, too, told me of an unacceptable experience with this company. I have filed comments with the Better Business Bureau and can only hope that a similar incident doesn't happen to another person who unknowingly places their trust in this company.

TFAW is GREAT! I have been using them for about 6+ months, and they are very professional and my baby has done very well with her walker! I love the professionalism of EVERYONE, appreciate the notes left every day with the time of the walk and any particulars, and when my baby needed eye drops, for a few days, no problem! I have used and researched many walkers in the area, and TFAW is BY FAR the BEST hidden value for dog owners in the Arlington/Alexandria area.

Great personal touch with the convenience of a responsible business. I know she will be walked in the timeframe promised, and LOVE the reminders before holidays to ensure my doggie is taken care of. ALSO appreciate the overnight services available.haven't used it yet, but I am about to in the next little while! TFAW is a GREAT value for the professionalism and care they take. KUDOS to TFAW!

This firm specializes in Dog sitting services and I do not recommend them for cat sitting services. I was on extended travel recently and had asked a neighbor to drop in daily and check on my pets. As a result, my neighbor confirmed that the sitter provided by TFAW was not providing services consistently within designated hours.even skipping a day here and there although I was still being charged.

When the situation was brought to the attention of TFAW, they apologized and emphasized this was an isolated incident. I would not recommend this Firm unless you have someone else coming in as a back-up to ensure you are getting what you pay for. Otherwise your pets may suffer undue stress or even serious illness due to feeding schedules being missed and/or litter not being changed properly.
