Canine Academy & Playschool

Thank you for your interest in Atlanta's first doggy daycare center, where dogs have a "dog-gone" good time, are treated with tender loving care, and learn important household manners. Since 1995 our students, graduates, and their caring owners have made Canine Academy & Playschool a wonderful success.

We teach you to teach your dog! Send your enrollment application and check prior to the start date of the class to reserve a place. Limited enrollment is on a "first come - first serve" basis. The maximum number of dogs in all classes except Puppy Kindergarten is eight (8) and the minimum number required to hold a class is five (5).

Grooming is by appointment Monday through Friday and walk-ins are welcome too! We have an excellent groomer on staff. Grooming services include specialty cuts, shave-downs, and all types of baths (flea, medicated, and conditioning shampoos). Doggy daycare is called Playschool at the Canine Academy & Playschool. On any given weekday, as many as 30 dogs spend the day playing, walking in the park, napping and learning good doggy manners. The academy opens at 7 a.m. and the first play period is from drop-off to 10 a.m. Then the dogs are all walked in Piedmont Park and then take a nap.
