I love coming to Bark ATL because all the nice people who work there really know how to rub a girls' tummy! They also have a really cool bridge to play on and the beds are comfy. I'm a lab, so I love the water. My name is Reggie and I love Bark ATL because they are so nice to me. When I get to have a spa day, the girls there do an amazing job on my hair and nails and I feel like a princess.
Most dogs enjoy being around other dogs & socializing in a pack. Since our facility is totally cage-free, your dog will enjoy being with other dogs without being caged. The first day of day care helps to determine whether your dog enjoys doggy day care. Not every dog is a "day care" dog. If your dog is not enjoying the day, or if your dog seems uncomfortable or unhappy at all, we are dedicated to letting you know & advising against doggy day care.We want every dog in our pack to enjoy the day! If that's not happening, we'll let you know.

For the safety of all dogs at Bark ATL, new dogs must be pre-registered and pass a temperament test prior to boarding our dog daycare resort in Downtown/Midtown Atlanta. Evaluations are $30 and are scheduled weekdays and weekends preferably before 10am. Please note: Out of town customers visiting for the day will be charged a flat rate of $40.00 for any day care services, which includes a $10 surcharge due to extra attention to administrative and service duties required to add an infrequent guest into our pack.

We were visiting from out of town and boarded our dogs. We are so pleased with how well they took care of our dogs. Love they have cameras to look in on your pups. The staff was very friendly! Our dogs stayed overnight. Our puppy has been sleeping since we picked her up today. I can tell she got lots of fun play time. I would highly recommend this kennel!

We brought our dog Oliver here while we were passing through ATL. We checked in on the cameras and were very glad that he was playing a lot. He is a anxious dog so its nice to know that he had fun while we visited the city. The staff was playing with him and he really liked the woman who brought him back out to us in the aprking lot. He did not want to come back to the car for our long trip home.

I sent my dog here from September 2020 - May 2021 during the weekdays while I was at work. Pros: cameras, decent pricing, the separate rooms based on dog size, seemed to always have openings, there was one female staff member who my dog adored in particular, sometimes I received pictures of him at Bark and would see some of him on the Facebook page, my dog loved the little kiddy pool that they would put out in the yard in the summer, the staff seemed nice enough Cons: When my dog's vaccine records expired, no one ever reached out to me to get updated vaccine records.
Whenever there were new staff, there was no communication, and so it was confusing some days when I would drop off my dog and a person I've never seen before would come to my car to take my dog (this was last year when we couldn't enter the building ourselves.) When my dog got kennel cough, I notified Bark and stopped sending him immediately. Unfortunately I never brought him back after that because no one ever reached back out to make sure he was okay.
It just felt like if the manager doesn't even care enough to see if my dog is okay after getting kennel cough, then why would I continue to pay to send him there? I'm not necessarily blaming Bark for my dog's kennel cough - I get it, it happens, but to not even check in to make sure he's okay after I told them why he won't be there for a while, just didn't sit right with me.
The cameras were down a lot and so I felt like I was reaching out at least once a week to let them know that the cameras are not loading - they would then reset them, but it just didn't feel like I should have to be the one letting them know. The cameras would only be on until 4pm on the weekends, which didn't make any sense to me, just felt weird to not be able to see my dog after 4pm if I had to board him for the weekend.
The dogs spend a lot of time indoors instead of out in the yard. I've heard of other doggy daycares having end of day report cards or holiday pictures taken at Halloween/Christmas - this is something Bark did not do the year that my dog went. I think Bark is a fine option if you need to send your dog to daycare, but of course, no one cares about your baby as much as you do, so make sure you watch the cameras and reach out to them if you have concerns, which I did do.

Brought my dog for orientation, I work from home but will be leaving for a week and needed to try a place out! I picked him up after 2 hours because their employees lack attention to the dogs. My dog was terrorized by 5 other dogs, one biting his legs 2 others trying to hump him all while the employee is sitting on her phone like she is not at work! I've watched it for 30 minutes before I called up there and told them to remove my dog- his tail was between his legs walking with his butt down- oh if you don't like your dog being humped no worries because they don't try and stop it.
My dog is freshly cleaned and he came back after only 2 hours and smelled like pee and shit! The area they keep the dogs is filthy- dogs who clearly aren't trained just shit and piss everywhere This was absolutely the worst place I could have taken him. The lack of care for these dogs and the place is disturbing

These people are heroes! While I was out of town, my dog Gus got loose form another day care and was found on the street. After calling around to everyone, BARK ATL were the only people to say they would take him in ASAP until we were able to get back in town. Once Gus got there, Madison at the front desk gave us constant updates and sent us photos of him to make sure we knew he was safe and doing alright.
He's an anxious dog, and I cannot express enough how much we appreciate the attention she gave our dog, and taking the time to personally update us until we were able to pick him up the next day. Bark is the only day care I trust to take Gus from now on!

I agree with several of the negative reviews I'm reading here! I have used several doggy daycare facilities throughout Atlanta, and the only one I truly can't stand is Bark ATL. I took my dog to them for daycare when he was about 7 months old. He went for his first day, did the temperament test, and I received no negative feedback. The second time I used them for daycare, one of the staff came out to talk to me when I picked up Tucker.
They let me know that Tucker was "barking too much at other dogs" and "would not come when called". Uh, what? You run a doggy daycare and my dog is barking too much? And my puppy doesn't always listen to you calling him when he is distracted by other dogs he would rather be playing with? SHOCKER! I was told that Tucker could not return to the facility until he had gone through obedience training, which he was already scheduled for a board and train the next month but I never bothered returning to Bark ATL.
At that time and today, he has gone to multiple other daycares countless times and I have never received a complaint from any of them. They came off as way too selective in the dogs they were willing to watch and I didn't like that. Plenty of other awesome doggy daycares in the city that offer much better service and let dogs be dogs!

My daughter could check in on the cameras and the girl on the camera footage was greatly nice to our dog. My daughter needed a place to keep her dog the same day from anemergency roommate situation and the manager Melanie I think offered to take her the same day. We ca;lled about five other places before this one and no one would help us and take our dog. Thank you for helping us

I set up my dog's "orientation" and "temperament test" for a day I was going to work. I had to drop him off early (6:30am) before they opened, which was approved by the manager weeks in advance. I also called Bark ATL the day before to verify that there was nothing else they needed from me. When I dropped him off, the overnight personnel had no idea they should have been expecting me.
I got multiple calls at the hospital (which I didn't take because of my job). I called back at lunch when I saw the voicemail. They were calling to tell me that I needed to fill out forms in order for my dog to be integrated with the rest of the dogs. So he had been in a kennel since I dropped him off or in a room by himself for 6 hours. I managed to complete the form on my phone; however, I got a call a few hours later explaining that he was playing so much that it was making other dogs start fights.
Whatever that means. My dog is 4 months old and had just spent 6 hours alone in a kennel. of course he was going to want to play. He doesn't start fights or fight other dogs. If a dog is at a doggy daycare and they are starting fights with a puppy wanting to play, then that dog shouldn't be at the daycare. Maybe they need to have their temperament re-tested.
When I picked him up, he smelled like urine and had dirt on him. I asked if he had not been let out and urinated in the kennel, and they told me his kennel was clean (because he's actually trained). So. either their facilities are dirty or there is urine and dirt all over the playroom with the other dogs. I never actually got to see inside the facility.
I promised my dog I would never bring him back to that awful place, and I definitely don't suggest leaving loved pets there. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

They were so kind and able to take my dog, luna, on short notice as me and my partner were traveling out of town with her. employees were so friendly, responsive, and accommodating and luna loved her time there. (i know this because of their live webcams! such a great feature of this doggy daycare!) this was luna's first time doing something like this so my partner and i were a little nervous but being able to check on her at any time really eased our minds. we ended up using Bark ATL for a second day because we just had such a great experience. can't recommend this place enough

We needed a dog sitter at the last minute. I was able to call this facility at 9 am on a Sunday. They were super nice. Agreed to meet our Shih Tzu. We picked up a copy of her vaccinations from her vet and took her in. Our dog is a rescue and always scared of everyone. She surprisingly took to Jess right away. They even kept our dog away from other animals. We were able to leave our dog food too. Thank you Bark ATL. You came through in a clutch.

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR DOGS! I used to be a devoted and happy customer of Bark ATL. I used to take both of my dogs here quite frequently for daycare and boarding. Then everything changed and I never went back. ever. It took me a long time to write this review because I was so angry and upset, and I didn't want that to come through in this review. Here's what happened.
I boarded both of my dogs for several day while I was away on business. I also requested that they receive baths on the day of the pickup. When I arrived and paid my almost $500 bill (for boarding and grooming), the first unhappy surprise was that my dogs were a matted mess. It looked like they bathed them but didn't properly dry and brush them out.
When I got to the car, I realized that one of my dogs' eyes were filled with blood! See pics I've attached. I was shocked and upset to say the least. What happened?! I immediately went back inside and showed them Oliver's eyes. They not seem that upset or urgent about getting to the bottom of it. The guy working at the front desk went back to the groomer.
No one knew nothing! No one could provide any answers! I left and went immediately to my vet to have him examined. They ran tests on both eyes to determine if any damage had been done. None had but Oliver, my dog, had either been harnessed and choked during grooming or had a severe reaction to whatever products they used during grooming. The vet couldn't determine which was the cause.
I emailed the owner of Bark ATL who responded with the same line I received on the day this happened. No one knew anything. Nothing happened. Period. There were no apologies. No offer to at least pay the $200 vet bill. Nothing. They were only out to protect themselves, their business, and their reputation. I couldn't have been more shocked and disappointed in them, their business, and they way they didn't take care of Oliver. Be warned!

Our family loves Bark ATL. Our pups do not like to be crated, so the cage-free boarding is a perfect fit for us. It is comforting to know when you are out of town or you've dropped your pup off for daycare that you are just a click away from viewing a high-quality live stream of your furry friend being well-cared for and socializing with pups of the same size and temperament. We've been coming to Bark ATL since 2015 and love it so much that we continue to use them despite moving several miles away. Our two miniature dachshund mixes give them 8 paws up!

Bark ATL is so absurdly convenient for me- and my dog loves it there! I've done both boarding and daycare- it's great to be able to board him somewhere he's familiar with. But here are all the ways this place makes my life easy- you can buy daycare/boarding packages online, they're very responsive over e-mail so I can make boarding reservations easily or ask them to throw in a bath, and they come out to your car for pick-up and drop-off.
It takes no extra time at all, and my dog is always clamoring to get inside once I pull into the lot- he loves everyone there that much. And I love the bark cams! Especially when he's boarding, it's great to be able to check in on my pup! Overall, I'm just so happy we found Bark ATL!

I can't seem to find any negatives about this place. I've been leaving my dog here for daycare for about 3 months now. The staff is great and they have cameras so you can watch your dog roam from time to time. For a daycare in the middle of Atlanta, their prices are perfect and it's a walking distance from my office so that's a plus.
The parking space is in the back for pick up and drop off, but very small. They offer boarding and grooming so you can pretty much have your dog pampered while you go to work.

I have an amazing experience with this place. I am bringing my little pup here so often since a couple of months. The first day they did the temperament test to my dog presenting her the group one by one and at noon they sent me an email with an update of how she was doing. I can see my dog on the cameras during the whole day and you can see how caring is the stuff.
They play with the dogs and check on them constantly. I also find totally convenient the fact that once that you are a costumer you can drop you dog directly from the car and they will bring the dog back to you from the same door so there is no time lost. I only have good thing to say about the place. My dog is totally worn out when I pick her up and sleeps so good.
Every morning she is waiting next to the door of the car to go to the daycare and is always happy when I leave her there and when I pick her up. They separate them by size and have them playing in different indoor rooms until it is their time to go out. My dog hates the crate and coming from Europe I don't feel comfortable crating her so this is the best solution for me.

The owner of this location is extremely unprofessional and unwilling to make any concessions- we bought a package for daycare for our two dogs, with specific dates in which we needed to take them before we moved to Cumming. We had been going to this daycare regularly for several months, prior. Unfortunately my grandmother and my husbands grandmother passed away, which, as you can imagine, drastically changed our schedules.
Due to this we were unable to use the remaining 4 days for each package. I called at least 10 times trying to talk to someone about possibly allowing me to use the dollar value left towards boarding or another service, since I now live in Cumming. I received the same message over and over "I'll have the owner call you" and he never did. Finally after repeatedly calling, I finally received a call back from the owner.
He said he couldn't transfer the dollar for dollar amount to any other service because I bought a package. Did you notice I didn't even ask for a refund, just a concession on how the money would be applied. He didn't care and refused to make a change. The only thing he offered to do was charge me full price for the days used and then if there was anything left I could use that towards something else.
What a deal! Life happens to all of us and I hope he experiences different treatment when he has a death in his family that throws a wrench in existing plans. I will never go back here and encourage everyone to check their death calendar before purchasing a daycare package. This owner doesn't care.

BARKATL takes great care of my dog. She always comes home happy when I leave her there, however, Associate, Emily called to see if I was going to pick up on the date noted in the system- thank goodness because we thought that you all closed an hour later than you do. I spoke with Emily twice to clear up the miscommunication, pay and arrange pickup, and in the duration of about three minutes was called "sweetie", "darling" and other pet names SEVERAL times.
I found it condesceding and unprofessional. That type of nicknaming is disrespectful. It implies inferiority and is not a way that your customers will appreciate being addressed in the future.

I was happy with my first experience with BARK ATL. Couldn't have asked for a friendlier staff, kept us updated with how Bella was doing, and I was glad we could watch on the cams. I could tell by how tired Bella was on pick up day that she played nonstop. Only "negative" comment I might add is that, Bella, being an english bulldog, it is important to care for her skin folds daily, and I as could see upon pick up, they did not take the time to do so, and I understand with the amount of dogs there or maybe if I had specified it, just wish they had cleaned her facial folds during her 4 day stay. Other than that, I was pleased with the experience.

I LOVE Bark ATL. For anyone looking for a small, safe environment for your pet's daycare or boarding needs, this is for you! At Bark ATL, the dogs "play all day" and aren't confined to kennels. They take them outside periodically throughout the day and they always stay in groups according to their size/temperament. You can tell that all of the staff at Bark ATL LOVE dogs, and they're so sweet and attentive to them.
I also love that you don't even have to get out of your car to drop off/pick up - they have a system in place that works seamlessly (sometimes there is a lot of traffic and it's hard to get in/out of the area, but most of the time it works!). They are also very reasonably priced considering it's downtown Atlanta.

Bark ATL is wonderful - they were the first I tried a couple years ago and always stuck with them. Everyone there is super nice and seems to genuinely care about my dog and all other dogs! They are incredibly sweet people and smart as well. I love that they meet me out back to get her, and bring her back out when I pull up at the end of the day and invoice/charge me automatically.
Their whole system is very efficient. Also I love the fact that I can watch my pup on the webcam! I think they have an optional walk to Piedmont service or they used to, which I may use one day if they still have it. Healer is always super happy when I pick her up. :-

Our names are Chewy and Bowie and we wanted to tell all the humans out there how much we LOVE BarkAtl. Our first day at doggie daycare was yesterday. At first, we didn't know what to think of all the new dogs and new humans. It was a new experience for us. But, as the day progressed, we became more comfortable and met a lot of new furry and non furry friends.
What we love most about BARKATL is the nice staff and how clean they keep our play areas. Our human parents love the BARK Cams that are set up in each room. Our humans can look at these BARK Cams if they ever feel a need to check on us. We can't wait to go back!

This review is long over-due since I've been using Bark ATL to watch the love of my life dog, Fizzle, since 2010.but I cannot say enough good things about them. I admittedly am a hover-er kind of dog Mom. When I first was considering daycare/boarding places, I insisted on seeing all the back areas where dogs were kept and surprisingly some day cares wouldn't allow it.yet Bark ATL gave me a full tour of the facility.
They also calmed my nerves by sending me continued Facebook and email updates while I was traveling for work.and that continues all these years later. They have webcams for you to see your dog both inside and outside, yet I am still that annoying dog parent that checks in all "How's Fizz doing right now". The staff always responds fast and honestly. Oh, and they have drive up "valet" where you just pull up and someone comes outside to retrieve or bring you your dog.
How convenient is that when rushing to the airport? They also follow whatever feeding instructions your pet requires and are willing to medicate if need be as well. Most of all, I am so thankful there is someone on site 24 hours a day. Bark ATL is truly where I trust leaving Fizzle when I can't be with him.
