RON PACE, founder and owner of Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center has been a highly respected dog trainer/instructor since 1977. Often considered a "trainer's trainer, " author of "Who's The Boss, a step by step guide for any dog owner that wants to have a better relationship with their dog. He is much sought after for his expertise in helping owners resolve canine behavior including; aggression nuisance barking, jumping up, chewing and much more.
We teach the owners how their dogs learn, what they are thinking and why they are doing what they are doing. With our guidance, owners are able to better understand their dogs through their body language. When I was sixteen years old I came to Canyon Crest with my family to meet our new German Shepherd puppy.
Patti has been a dog lover and owner all of her life. Being in the dog industry with her husband Ron since 1977 has taught her how to run a business smoothly. Breeding German Shepherds for 30 years and nurturing all those little puppies have brought her lots of enjoyment. Customer service is important to her.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank-you for the help in locating K9 Lobo for me and the assistance in my training about two years ago. After diligently searching for that "just right " K9 partner and about forty dogs later, I was turned on to your expertise by other police canine handlers in the area.

We absolutely loved this place, definitely recommend!. We used their boarding services for a couple of days while visiting relatives in the area. Krystal took such good care of our 9 month old German Shepherd, he was able to relax for a while during a very long road trip. Krystal took him for a walk and even got him to eat, which he hadn't been eating well since we had been on the road during our trip. We were able to see a few minutes of one of their training classes and she even gave us some great tips on training before we left.

I recently sat in on a class that involved a one on one training session with an owner and their dog. The women who were there seemed to have confidence in what they were doing which is why it terrified me when they told the owner to HANG THEIR DOG OFF THE GROUND BY THEIR NECK ON A PRONG COLLAR. Not only did they do this, but they were also advising the owner use other pretty aggressive methods.

They don't use herm springer prong collars and don't seem to understand the proper method to use prong collars anyway. I do not advise ANY dog owners to bring their dogs here and any current owners to take a second look at how the trainers here are really training their dogs.

I've really enjoyed taking my new puppy to the puppy preschool here at canyon crest. Trainer Michelle did a great job being serious while also having fun, and my puppy got some great time socialist and learning basic manners. Definitely recommend and I look forward to another training session!

I took a puppy class recently and liked tbe women instructor and liked the fact that puppies had time to play with other puppy and we learned training skills. Last week a man taught the class and I didnt see all that happen but I did see him hanging a puppy by its neck 1/2 foot off ground for long periods of time. It made my 15 year old daughter cry in car.

I wish I would have stopped this behavior. I will not be coming back for last class. I also do not like that the next above class is a obedient class that they use choke collars. I have a beagle and find this not ok.

Our puppy is receiving great training here. The instructors are very positive and follow up if the dog owner needs help.

Doggy daycare is outstanding! A beautiful park like setting! After taking my dog through training at Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center I decided to give their doggy daycare a try. I would recommend this place to everyone. It is such a great feeling knowing and seeing my dog interact with dogs and staff. She feels so comfortable there. I really appreciate the synthetic turf that was used in the building.

No concrete floors! I have checked out other daycare facilities and a lot or inside. I appreciate the fact that this daycare facility allows the dog to go inside or outside.they make the choice. Thank you Canyon Crest for an awesome daycare!

I have been taking my German Shepherd Marnie to training @ Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center for the last year and a half. She was very shy and timid when we purchased her from a breeder a couple of years ago. She has come a long way since I enrolled her in classes Canyon Crest. I am sure there are other good obedience training facilities around, but Ron and his trainers are in a class of their own.

When I heard they were opening a doggy daycare there, I was really excited. Marnie was there on opening day and I have been taking her there on a regular basis ever since. Ron's whole center is beautiful! What's more important than that is that even the daycare is part of the training facility. The dogs there have to be evaluated before they are allowed to attend. Once there they have to behave and show good manners. I wouldn't dream of leaving Marnie anywhere else.

I have a 1 year old Boxer that has been able to partake in almost all of Canyon Crest's wonderful programs. When our family first got Penelope we enrolled her in their Puppy training class. The class was great it taught us so much. And anytime we had any questions about things Penelope was doing at home ( jumping on our 3 year old son) we could ask any of the instructors and they would give helpful feedback.

In the beginning of the class all the puppy's get to "socialize" with each other in a safe environment. My husband took her to the obedience training class when she was about 9 months old. It's really amazing that by just my husbands hand signals she will following his directions. After Penelope completed the Obedience training she gets to participate in a fun refresher class once a month on Saturdays.

We have also boarded her there 3 or 4 times, once with late notice and Patti made arrangements to get her in. Penelope also gets to have play time once or twice a week at their Doggy Daycare. SHE LOVES IT, when I pick her up she's just pooped. And I know that she's safe and being well taken care of. Canyon Crest K-9 Center is one of a kind! The owners are great and their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The center is always clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend them for your pup!

Re: training my deaf pup. My experience(s) at Canyon Crest K-9 training center with Ron Pace and his staff have been nothing short of excellent. I have been working with Ron and Janet with my 7 month old Irish Terrier, Darby, on basic training complicated by the fact that Darby is deaf. Relying primarily on hand signals and a paging collar and utilizing Ron's training system Darby and I have established excellent communication and her training has progressed better than I had ever envisioned. Ron's basic training principles were ideally suited to training a deaf puppy and have given me a sense of confidence in my ability to continue her training as well as a great sense of relief knowing I can control my dog and keep her safe.

I have worked with Ron 3 times since 1990 with 3 different dogs bearing vastly different personalities. I am convinced Ron and his staff can handle any dog related challenges (and most owner related challenges) with professionalism and humane compassion. I recommend Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center to anyone who loves their dog and wants to get the most out of their K-9 companion and themselves as a dog owner.

In December I finished basic obedience with my 7 month old German Shepherd. I've also taken another German Shepherd and an Australian Shepherd through the classes over the last 15 years. My dogs are well-behaved, happy and confident after the course. Not to mention I'm a much happier owner. I highly recommend Ron and the Ron Pace Method of training for any breed of dog.

Because the classes are private (except for the group classes following the 10 private lessons) you get a lot of attention from Ron or his highly trained instructors. The facilities are extremely clean and I can't say enough about the love Ron has for dogs and their owners.
