One would be hard -pressed to find any dog trainer or behavior consultant with better experience than Christine. I have referred countless clients to Christine for a variety of reasons and they have all been extremely impressed and satisfied. Every new puppy should go through her Puppy socialization class and every adult dog should go through at least Obedience 1. If you have a behavior issue with your cat or dog, Christine has a wealth of information to help solve any problem. I highly recommend Christine.

Christine received her behavior training from Dr. Suzanne Hetts and Dr. Daniel Estep of Animal Behavior Associates. She is certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She has also attended many seminars on behavior and continues her education several times per year. Christine is a native of Colorado, raised in Buena Vista.

Recently, there was an extremely traumatic, food/resource guarding, event in which my dog was the aggressor to another dog. Since she had never exhibited this type of behavior I was extremely shocked and initially reached out to a trainer I respected/that I was referred to through the rescue I got my dog from, who thought, based on what I told her, the event was caused by "trigger stacking" and it would be difficult to do any training if my dog wasn't exhibiting these behaviors normally.
Because there are so many schools of thought on dog training, I decided to reach out to a few more people because I wanted to do whatever possible to ensure this doesn't happen again. My vet referred me to Christine at Pup-E-Ssori. While I cannot speak to Christine or her abilities, I had a very negative interaction with Bart, the person who reached out to me to get an intake (and the only person I have spoken with at Pup-E-Ssori).
I assume some sort of relative/family member as they have the same last name. After I spoke to Bart the first time and gave him all the details of the incident he said he would relay to Christine and get back to me (this phone call was pleasant). He reached back out shortly after this to schedule an initial consultation. He told me the consult would be $400 for a couple of hours at my home and a few months (can't remember exact length of time) of unlimited phone/email follow-up.
I scheduled a consult for 2 weeks out and reached out the week of the consult with a few questions that had popped up. Just hoping to get more details on what Christine's thoughts were after Bart relayed the incident to her/what the plan of action was/Christine's methods, etc. since I hadn't had the opportunity to speak with her directly.
You know, what I thought were normal/basic questions. Bart immediately got defensive. He started interrupting me to repeatedly tell what I was wrong about. He "reminded" me (as if I had forgotten this horrible event) of the incident that happened that caused me to reach out and in a scolding tone told me "that's as serious as it gets", told me I could never trust my dog again.
I had already ceded that I am not the expert, that I was looking to them for guidance, and I just wanted a simple clarification on the plan/what Christine thought since the other trainer had a different opinion. He then told me that it sounded like Pup-E-Ssori was not a good fit, while still not listening to my explanations and corrections, and I should just use/ask my friend (he was referring to the other trainer I referenced above who is not a friend which I repeatedly tried clarifying but he didn't hear me because he kept speaking over me).
I told him it sounded like he was mad that I was calling with questions and he said something like "sorry if I was impatient I just get really frustrated when people tell me what their friends say to do". I once again clarified that it was a trainer I had spoken to, not a friend, and he finally heard me. Then he rudely asked "trainer or behaviorist?" (I think that would have been a great time for him to clarify the difference since I am not a professional in this field but he never took the opportunity to).
We ended the call with him saying he'd talk to Christine and get back to me. He then proceeds to call me back to fire me as a client saying he didn't think Pup-E-Ssori was a good fit. Christine may be the most delightful trainer, with the most effective training solutions, however I'll never know due to this extremely bizarre and incredibly rude/condescending interaction with Bart.

Best trainer in the Denver area. We interviewed a lot of trainers before settling with Christine. We chose her because of the glowing review she had from our vet and how nice she was when we asked our thousand questions of her. We are very pleased with the obedience class that we took for our new husky puppy. Living in Denver it is so important to have a well trained dog and Christine will give you the tools to help shape a great well trained dog.
I loved going to our class and so did our puppy. I really appreciated that she made us pass a test at the end of the class because it really is not the dogs fualt if you do not take the time to train them. We will be signing up for the obedience 2 class I am sure. Thank you Christine and pup-e-ssori.
