Just a soccer ball kick from Providence Park, Portland Animal Clinic is your one-stop-shop for all your pet's needs: From a wide assortment of prescription diets and flea control for cats and dogs, to long term and short term boarding-to that special spa day that your animal companion has been hinting about.
You should schedule a visit to the vet by 6 to 8 weeks of age, or if you are rescuing an older kitten / cat, as soon as you get the cat home. On your first visit, the veterinarian will give your kitten a general examination to make sure s/he is healthy. The doctor will check his/her teeth, ears, eyes, and listen to the heart and lungs.
We offer pet grooming services for dogs and cats by appointment, Monday through Friday. Grooming is tailored to each pet and to owner preference, so grooming prices will vary. We take great care to ensure our grooming pets are comfortable throughout their appointment and do not experience undue stress or anxiety.

We've always had a great experience with Portland Animal Clinic and Dr. Castle is a great vet! She helped us with many different dog issues between allergies, anxiety, and infections. I'm happy to spend my money here and know we get quality checkups and great service from everyone you talk/work with. I've recommended to our friends with 3 cats and they love the clinic just as much!

I highly recommend Dr Castle and the entire team that works here. This is the first vet clinic where I really feel welcome with my dog. She is a 10 year old chihuahua so naturally feisty. Dr Castle knows how to care for her without having to sedate her every visit. My dog doesn't leave the vet traumatized like she did at previous clinics we have tried. Pricing is very fair and once established as a patient it is very easy to get in when needed.

We have been taking our pets to see Dr. Castle for years now and her and her team are amazing. Always friendly and knowledgeable and most importantly not alarmist. She's great at taking things step by step- we had a previous vet at a big box vet that ran us through every expensive test at every whim. We really appreciate and trust the team here as they have gotten to us and our pets over the years!

Have been going here for a few years and even after traveling for almost 2 years they still made me and my dog feel so comfortable! They have amazing patience! My dog has bad anxiety going in for exams, but Dr Castle and her assistant were so warming with offering treats to show him he can trust them. I appreciate all they do. Thank you!

We've been coming to Portland Animal Clinic since I moved here 5 years ago. Dr. Castle is seriously amazing and went above and beyond when my 15yo pup needed emergency surgery and we were having trouble getting him in anywhere. Dr. Castle always puts both of my dog's health first and is the best animal advocate I have ever met. So so grateful to have found this clinic! Also, the vet techs are always amazing and so sweet. Both my dogs are comfortable here and that is so important to me. Cannot recommend enough!

It's always great to find a place your dogs feel comfortable going to, and you feel good about taking them too (And I have Chihuahuas). I'm just had our first medical visit, not for vaccines or a wellness check up. These visits used to cost so much. But they looked around to help find a good deal on my dogs medicine for me. Great service. I always feel like the staff genuinely care about my sweet baby boy. I've been to vets where they upsell you an obscene amount, but here they recommend only what is needed and are very upfront and honest. They also do a great job grooming. I'll be a customer hopefully for years to come (my sweet boy just turned 16!)
