We have a 15 year old dog that is going to cross the rainbow bridge on Wednesday and he's been on meds for a while now. We asked for a weeks refill to keep him comfortable and all the vet wanted was all sorts of blood work and vaccines. Basically she just wants the money. She did not have our dogs interest in heart just looking to pad her pocket. Even the boarding is a joke. Can't believe 5 star rating.

I'm not sure what has happened with Village Vet, but after taking various pets there for almost 40 years we are now done. My parents used Village Vet when I was a child and I have continued to go there because of the compassion and how comfortable my pets have been when we walked inside. When Dr. Bass was there and running things, it was phenomenal!
She was the lifeblood of the practice and she ensured that all of her techs, assistants, and fellow veterinarians shared her level of care and compassion. Every veterinarian that I have encountered has been great until our visit last week and an unfortunate follow up today. I'm giving a 3 star only because of the compassion that was there for many years is now gone so I'm basing my rating over many many years.
If this was a rating based on this visit, there would be zero stars. Fortunately, the veterinarian that has been seeing my dog for the past 6 years we have found her and will be driving much farther for a comfortable experience for my dog. I will absolutely NOT put my dog through that experience again! While I am not excited about the "additional charges" that have been added since our last visit, it's worth it if my pet is comfortable. In this case you have run off a very loyal client because there is zero compassion as you are only chasing the almighty dollar now. It's a sad day for me.

As of today March 7 - our little girl had an issue last night and we were not sure what is was, seizure or. weird thing it passed. We called village vet at 9:30 am to speak with a vet - of course no one was available so they said at the desk they would inform a vet and they would call us back - well it's 7:30 pm and no one has called us back - very sad and not professional.
Our little girl has been going for years and is a patient of theirs and this is the service we get. Pretty upset that they are focused on making money and quite a bit - but when comes to their patient, no call - not A concern. They forget We help pay their salaries. I'm so upset!

Followed Dr. Baine to this hospital as she's the one I trust most to take care of my furry children, ferrets, and I can say 100% both she and this Veterinarian hospital have been nothing but wonderful. Dr. Amanda from the two times I've met her, she is equally as wonderful and made both my ferrets and myself comfortable with their visits. I recommemd whole heartedly both Doctors.
They as a whole are always polite, show genuine care for their patients, and work with a multitude of options to pay for visits. They are always helpful when answering questions both medically and financially.

Dr. Lively and the entire staff are amazing. They are compassionate, warm and super accommodating! My cat sees Dr. Lively on a monthly basis for her kidney issues. My girl means the world to me and all the staff treats her and all the furbabies they care for as their own. Highly recommend them for their physicians expertise and the staffs first rate care!
