Owner Julie Yamane and the very experienced and dedicated CLC staff are proud of the quality and variety of services offered, and of our focus on listening to owner needs and responding to those needs with flexibility and a variety of training methods. We do not believe one method works for every dog, our whole philosophy is based around being adaptable and creative in problem solving for each unique team that comes to us.

Classes are held in our matted, air conditioned and heated facility in North Fort Collins.
Services
Puppy Kindergarten is a six week class, one hour a week. All puppies in class will be between 10 and 16 weeks when class starts, so all will be at a similar stage of puppyhood. This is important, as we believe playtime with other sizes and shapes of puppies is important for socialization as well as offering young minds a nice break from training.
Playschool is a great stress reliever for both dog and owner. Worry that your dog doesn't get enough exercise while you are at work all day? Does your dog get lonely for pals? Bring them for supervised play in our indoor/outdoor facility. The Canine Learning Center playschool system has successfully modified fearful behaviors in many dogs and puppies, by instilling the confidence to cope with all sorts of excitement and human/canine interactions. It's also a great way to calm down those over-the-top, high energy dogs.

Wonderful and very supportive place to train your dog! I have been taking classes and attending drop ins for almost three years now and I have been very happy with my experience. Owner and trainer, Julie, is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and encouraging towards her students. She was an instrumental part in helping my undersocialized ACD gain confidence and become a more well-rounded dog. Millie has a full body wag whenever we walk through the door : I have also taken puppy kindergarten and basic obedience with Karen, who is another wonderfully knowledgeable trainer!

She is very friendly and happy to answer questions. The training community at the CLC is welcoming and very helpful to new handlers. We always enjoy seeing our friends, human and canine alike!

Sukha our 5 month old puppy is enjoying her time at daycare. It has really helped us move forward on her dog training too. The staff supports us with extra dog training and kennel sessions during her time at day care. Sukha is now 10 months old; we have recently started obedience class and adore our class and trainer Julie. The positive/kind training style has already helped me communicate with her better and was fun!

Been taking Charlie Brown (lab) for day care for a couple of years. He has so much fun and has learned to socialize and share. He is so excited to go to day care. The people there really love the animals.

I already had a little bit of knowledge with being in the ring. And when I went in for my first time I brought my puppy Titan, I was really impressed with the trainer because I immediately knew she had extreme knowledge about shapes structures and sizes and she had a very good eye for watching as you walk around the ring

I cannot say enough about our experience with Canine Learning Center. What an amazing and positive experience for the entire 6week Obedience Course. Charlie (whippet/Pitt- Puerto Rican rescue) loved the course. She looked forward to seeing her friends and learning new skills every week. Julie is so patient with both the canines and the humans. I learned how to be a much better pet parent.

Her behavior is markedly better, so much so in fact that friends and family comment how they notice. She was always a sweet girl, but overly excited to the point of annoyance. Now she is sweet, loving and a joy to be around. Thank you, CLC for bringing out the best in my girl!

We have been taking our puppy to kindergarten here. The workers are really nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I really like how they have been helping my 12 year old daughter learn how to handle our strong willed puppy. Their prices seem quite reasonable. The class has helped us since we are first time dog owners, and we did not start with an easy breed.

We are about half way through a puppy training class and it's been awesome. CLC gives you a good bag of treats every week, and they even gave me an extra collar they had lying around when my puppy kept popping out of her break away collar. We have covered all kinds of basic commands like sit, stay, leave it, come, calm etc. They do a lot of leash training too.

Our puppy is doing great and is responding really well. She also loves the few minutes of unstructured play every week with the other puppies. They break up the group into a small/calm and large/active group which is nice. We get to take our extra treats home which helps training and we get a homework sheet every week too. It's very comprehensive and the trainer makes herself available to answer additional questions after class. They clearly care and really know what they're doing.

I've been using Canine Learning Center for over 20 years to help train my puppies and take them to doggie daycare. I love Julie, the owner. She genuinely cares about the dogs and has great, caring staff. Customers who haven't ever worked at a Humane Society or as a Vet Tech should think twice before leaving a harsh review. Let's face it, this business in general is a lot of poop and pee.

In addition, dog owners tend to channel all their personal quirkiness onto their dogs; therefore creating quite.shall we say a "unique mix" to deal with everyday. I'm so grateful for Canine Learning Center's dedication to providing a safe, fun environment for dogs to exercise and socialize!

Our dog loved this place and so did we! We did beginner and intermediate obedience classes here. We got some great tips and we saw huge improvements in our dog with their training programs! Not only are the classes fun and affordable, but we got some great ideas on how to continue training on our own after the classes were finished. Unfortunately we had to put our sweet Luna down before we could take Canine Good Citizen, but The Canine Learning Center gave us some wonderful memories with our dog.
