I have taken my dog here several times when she has had serious issues. The doctors and staff here are very attentive and knowledgeable. They seem to isolate the underlying problem quickly and offer a prompt treatment path. I appreciate the fact that they always seem to fit us in when an urgent care need arises. The fact that they are open 7 days/week is a real service to the community.
My chihuahua really likes her vet, Dr. Baron. I would highly recommend East Padden to anyone that wants quality care for their pet. We have moved our dog's care permanently from another veterinarian to East Padden.

East Padden was the only vet in the county that could see my cat on a Sunday morning and are the only vet who acted like his ailment was an actual emergency when I called in. Yes, his treatment was expensive but the doctor was extremely upfront with costs and gave me treatment options. They also called after his procedure to authorize additional medication that would add to the bill. Extremely professional staff. Communication was great. I'd recommended them to anyone who finds themselves in a scary situation with their pet and needs help.

I needed an appointment to have both my male cats fixed so I could help/adopt a stray female who needed urgent medical care. They fit me in when all the other clinics couldn't see my cats until late March to June. I am so grateful for how quick and efficiently they were able to help me, in turn making it easier for me to save another animal who really deserves a chance at a happy life.
I've also taken my dogs to this location and they've taken excellent care of them as well. This clinic really cares for the pets they are serving, and on top of that offers their services at a fair and reasonable price. I will be returning to this clinic for all future services!

Dr. Amsler is so nice. She took good care of my rat when he had a cyst a few months and again over this last weekend when I brought him in for some teeth issues. Unfortunately, we had to take him a few days later to be euthanized. Everyone was very nice and they gave us a little card and his stamped foot prints. I wasn't expecting that and it was so touching, very much appreciative that they took the time to do that.

We had the unfortunate need to put our sweet 12 year old cat down last night. We were so grateful that East Padden was open late on a Sunday and was able to squeeze us in last minute so our girl didn't have to suffer. The staff was amazing and I loved that they brought us around the building and in through a side door so we had some privacy. Both the tech and the vet that helped us were incredibly kind, comforting and informative. They even wrapped her up all cozy in a sweet little box for us since we brought her home to bury on our property. 10/10 would recommend them for end of life services.

With all the staff shortages and huge increase in people seeking vet services, 2021 has been a particularly terrible year to suddenly have health issues arise with BOTH my cats, but East Padden (and specifically Dr. Amsler) has been my life-line. They are swamped with clients just like every other clinic, but have implemented a system that still allows emergency needs to be met in a reasonable time.
I am so grateful that their doors remain open 7 days a week, even though I'm sure it means working incredibly long hours. Special shoutout to Dr. Amsler, the kindest person who has been so patient with my endless questions and concerns about my kitties. One time she called me at 9:30pm to answer my questions, so yes, the vets at East Padden work very, very long days!
For awhile there was considerable difficulty getting in touch with anyone at East Padden on the phone, but I think they have made changes in their phone system and it's easier to get through now. Also, be prepared for wait times. There is always a wait and sometimes it's a long one, depending on the nature of your visit. Urgent care visits get prioritized based on how serious the illness is, so if your pet is stable, they may have to wait a few hours for an exam. Generally, my pets have been seen and treated within 2-5 hours of being dropped off.
It just depends on how many more serious cases are ahead of you in line. I've been taking my pets to East Padden for about 8 years now, but recently I think they proved themselves to be one of the best clinics in Vancouver with how they've been able to pivot with all the Covid restrictions and also handle the increase in demand. Way to go, guys! Keep up the great work.

We brought our Chocolate Lab Loki in for an ear infection last Saturday. The service was fantastic. Everyone from the person who picked up our dog to the main Vet who treated him were great. We used there urgent care, but will be bringing both of our dogs to the regular vet clinic permanently. Thanks Dr. Lee and everyone for taking such good care of my dog.

East Padden was a Godsend when my cat's leg was broken on a Sunday evening. My usual vets weren't open and, frankly, they are so stretched for staff even when open that seeing them takes weeks. The local emergency vets are also overbooked due to the loss of many vets during Covid. East Padden said, "Come, now". Follow up has been exceptional. Their hours are extensive and their crew is friendly and helpful. I'm going to make them my primary vets.

Got my rabbit fixed here. He had an issue with his hip being effected by some swelling and they immediately took him and checked him out. He got some additional treatment for free, and we added some other services for a reasonable fee. Very helpful. Very considerate. Reasonable cost. We will be back for anything else we might need in the future.

We live in the Longview/Kelso area. When we had an emergency come up with our pets we could not find anywhere local that could see them. I am soooo glad that in my exhaustive and stressful search calling around, we came across East Padden Animal Hospital. They were literally a life safer for our dog. Not only could they get him in right away, but everyone was so nice, friendly, compassionate, and professional.
They follow strict guidelines for safety regarding COVID guidelines. Pull-up, text them your information and they come out to get your pet. (Don't forget your mask) I shortly received a call from a super nice doctor explaining what they discovered and options as well as cost. After that initial visit, they followed up multiple times checking on him to make sure things were clearing up and he was doing better. Unfortunately, he took a turn and they quickly got him back in.
Everywhere else nearby had appointments months out. I was/am, SO Thankful for finding East Padden Animal Hospital. I have had the same experience with the quality of care for our other pets. Just know at first it may take a bit to get through, just call back and listen to the options to speak with someone. If you don't get through, call back and do that again.
Don't get discouraged, just call back, but make sure to go through the options to get to someone. Leaving a voicemail or email does tend to take longer. They can get pretty busy, so just keep that in mind. Overall, I definitely HIGHLY recommend them.

I have brought all my fur babies here since relocating to Vancouver and I am so impressed and grateful for East Paden and their staff from their vets to their techs. Unfortunately, my sweet Fluffy had to be put down in emergency. I know they did everything they could and even called me a few days later to check in. Steve had to go in for urgent surgery and I know he got all the love he needed in my absence. THEY CARE! Thank you for taking such great care of them!

This hospital (and especially Dr. Robert) was hands down THE best animal hospital I have ever dealt with in all my years of being a dog mom. My little guy was attacked by another dog and East Padden took us in. right away. Not only did they get us in immediately during a very busy time with commons covid staffing problems at most animal hospitals, but they gave my little guy a complete and very thorough exam.
They loved on him and held him while he was getting care so he was never alone. While my dog was on there, Dr. Robert had amazing communication with me, calling me a couple times to walk me through everything that was going on inside. She put me at ease knowing how well my dog was being cared for. She gave me a referral for a specialist to follow up with as my dog had a more extreme jaw injury and followed up with me the following day via email, and also with a phone call just to check in. I honestly can't say enough about my experience there. I would drive 45 minutes any day to make sure I go there in case of any emergency. Thank you all!

This place was really good and took care of my two dogs for a while, in fact one of my dogs still goes there and from what we see he's a favorite. But Unfortunately i had to put down one of my animals which I loved dearly. I can't hold it against them because that's their job but I can't look at that place anymore without tearing up. But today I did receive a letter from them with their condolences and that was very appreciated. They all personally signed as well so you know that they aren't just printing a letter and sending it to any household.

They perform surgeries far beyond their scope, with no informed consent- and they're not equipped to deal with complications from the surgeries they never should've performed in the first place; nor do they have overnight care/monitoring. They sent my dog home weak and bleeding, with a drain that didn't even have a anything to catch the blood. because they were OUT and vague post care instructions.
They should have referred my dog to a qualified specialist instead they lied to get our money. My dog almost bled to death at home. she SUFFERED and it was touch and go for days. we were left with a huge emergency vet bill to save her life. When we shared our concerns with the medical director she was dismissive and rude.

I utilized East Padden's same-day urgent care appointments for my cat when his regular vet couldn't fit him in. He needed some follow up after a visit to the emergency vet a few days prior. East Padden was amazing. My boy ended up having to be put down but the vet was so compassionate and informative about his condition and what it would mean for both him and I long term if we continued trying to treat it.
They gave me as much time with my cat as I needed both before and after the euthanasia and were so empathetic and supportive. The vet tech was wonderful too. I will be switching my other cat to East Padden from his current vet because I am so impressed with them.

I could cry because of how grateful I am for my experience with a doctor and staff at this hospital. My dog was seen some weeks ago and today I emailed with a new concern. A nurse called me almost immediately and spoke with me for 15 mins. She even got an opinion from the doctor who had seen my dog before. This is the most caring wonderful place to take your pets. It's too bad we live almost 100 miles away!

East Padden has been a godsend during this pandemic. We have 4 dogs and East Padden was the only one who could see them urgently 4 times now. Their process is seamless, their staff is kind, and the vets. personally call with updates, exam findings, and recommendations. They don't suggest unnecessarily expensive diagnostics, and take all the time needed to explain the situation and patiently answer questions, working with you to set up a realistic care plan.
Our 'home' vet has told me that it will be 3-4 months until I can get an exam. I'm switching all of my dogs' care to East Padden even though I'm in the opposite side of town. I cannot praise them enough.

We called to bring in our rabbit because they are one of the only vets in the area who work with rabbits. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude, told us we probably wouldn't get in urgently and to wait until the 28th. Then she hung up on him. Our rabbit is in bad shape. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

I cannot praise them enough. When my best friend needed sent to heaven unexpectedly they made us feel like family. They put us in a quiet comfortable room and gave us time to say goodbye. When we were ready the. vet explained every step and let us direct when to do it. They even surprised us later with a sympathy card and 2 inked paw prints.

Their team was so efficient, kind and knowledgeable. My Dog Dakota loved them all and the vet who saw him for an ear Infection was amazing. She educated me and gave him a thorough work up to ensure he was. treated in the best way. My regular vet was booked, and they treated him like one of their own. I never left the car and they had him in and out in no time with meds ready to go. Amazing team, Thank you!

So happy to have found a new veterinary home for my Doxies. Everyone at East Padden is very friendly and I appreciate their system of appointments and drop off procedures. Communication is awesome and treatment. prompt. They were amazing to us when my little Charm had a slipped disc in her back over a month ago, and today was a breeze for Zeus's new patient exam. Highly recommend!
