Hi, my name is Alexis Trice, thank you for visiting the Doghouse! I'm a native New Yorker, and graduated from The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration. Painting with oils has always been my passion, and animals have always been my subject of choice. I began my company WelcomeToTheDoghouse.net creating custom pet portraits after I discovered that my combined love for dogs (inspirational muses, Una and Thea) and art could be a rewarding career.I would love the opportunity to create an everlasting portrait of your beloved pet that will last a lifetime.
Here are just a handful of the many custom hand painted pet watercolor portraits I have painted over the years. Dog and cat custom pet portraits are my speciality, and your portrait can be painted as whimsical or traditional as you'd like! There are two basic options: "Sketch Style" which is a little more traditional and has a slightly looser "sketchy" playful feel to it.
For $200 you will receive your very own custom 5"x7" watercolor of your pet on Arches archival watercolor paper, with a border design and a banner with their name. You can choose the border design around it, as long as it's simple, or leave it up to me. I will send one preliminary sketch for your approval, and a photo upon completion and ship it off to you.
