I couldn't have been more content with the service. My dog came out brand new and the owner super nice. I will be returning in a few months for another haircut for my pup.

Super accommodating (schedule-wise & w/ nervous doggy-wise), affordable and friendly. Been coming here for years and realized I never left a review! Skimmed through previous reviews here and I have to say, the few negative reviews I saw, have GOT to be solely due to miscommunications or just a lack of customer communicating w groomer - period. I've tried MANY groomers over the years, as I am constantly fostering and adopting and Diamond Collar is by far the BEST all around grooming spot out of ALL 5 boroughs. Prices /Groomer tries her best to do whatever you ask if its possible and if it's not, she does what is possible/Excellent w the nervous pets and groom is almost always finished at the time quoted. Sofia & Scarlett are the greatest greeters also! Oh and they have the cutest pet clothes!

Took my 9 month corgi to get a shape up on his fur, shave his butt, trim his nails, and bathe him; basically the whole package. It cost $50. When I arrived to pick up my corgi, he looked clean and fur around his neck looked shaped up but when I arrived home I noticed the the uneven fur at the end of his tail was not even trimmed nor was his butt shaved or looked trim.

My boyfriend even noticed he didnt smell as clean as he usually did when he would come back from a previous groomer. His fur did not feel soft or smooth. Only reason I went to the diamond collar was because it was near me compared to the original grooming place my dog visited.

THIS IS MADNESS OVERLOADED BUT MY BABY CAME HOME WITH ONE NIPPLE MISSING! I HAD TO CLEAN OFF THE GUNK FOR MYSELF TO SEE IT! I CANT IMAGINE HOW MUCH SHE WAS BLEEDING OUT! THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR BABY THERE!

Awesome must say they take care of my Serenity and what I was paying for at pet co.126.00 dollars I now pay 50 dollars.

I took my dog in for grooming and was not satisfied with the results. Upon scheduling the appointment, I asked several questions to ensure that the groomer would be able to give my dog an appropriate cut for his breed. This proved not to be the case. The groomer did not do her job what so ever. I will not be going back nor can I recomend this business.

Horrible haircut, I showed them a picture of what I wanted for my golden doodle the woman at the desk even took a picture of it, and what did I come to pick up? A shaved dog. I am devastated, I should have been called if they wanted to be lazy and just shave her instead of them making that decision especially knowing what I wanted. My dog was not matted at all and if you know anything about golden doodles and their hair type you are not supposed to buzz them because it can ruin their coat.

I will NEVER be returning. Since I don't have the option to reply to the below comment I will just post it here. That is a blatant lie, why take a picture of what we wanted if it was impossible. My dogs hair wasn't mated you were lazy just like the last time we brought her in. The groomer came out and tried to say she was matted while I put my hand through her hair without a problem.

Next time call someone once examining a dog, you do not have the right to make that decision for customers. It's not a problem I will not be returning and future customers should be warned. Pretty sure you wouldn't like it if you went in for a trim and then we're buzzed down to the scalp.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG this place it is bad I took my puppy and asked for a trim they ended up cutting her entire hair which is not accurate for her bread. She came out of that place feeling stress, and sad. When she is generally is a happy energetic puppy but what crossed the line was that her nail was bleeding when we picked her up she was crying because it hurt.

I told the employee working there they just invented a excuse. I don't know what they did to my puppy if they were aggressive towards her or treated her wrong but I will not be returning to that place and I recommend you don't either. Not a good place.

My dog had a 9am app he can be difficult but sophia was so good with him. When i.picked him up he looked so good and he was calm not high strung. Absolutely great experience, i will definitely be bringing him back again. We also got him a new alpht that he wont let me take off of him now. lol

My dog is very, very anxious, and we were nervous to take her for her first nail trimming. The Diamond Collar staff were incredibly kind and patient with our skittish, excitable baby! We also got a super cute harness for her there that I had seen online (Amazon and/or Chewy) for a lot more, and the staff let us try it on her to make sure we got a perfect fit. We had a fantastic experience and resoundingly recommend them!

I took my baby shih tzu here today to get groomed and i loved how she turned out! Some groomers don't listen to what the owners wants and she did! Loved the service

If I could live here, I would! If there are 2 people who love pets more than I do, it has to be the owners James and his wife Madelena. When you walk in, you feel at home. They have a huge supply (a wide "Range") of items for your pets and they have great prices too! I highly recommend this store for your pet needs.

I really like the grooming and cleaning services here. I took my toy poodle here every couple of months for 13 years. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so I highly recommend making an appointment at least a few days in advance. You can *sometimes* wing a walk-in, but that's very rare and you will likely have a long wait. Do you really want your fur baby in cage in the back waiting for no reason?

Probably not. I took away a couple of stars because sometimes the person working the front desk (not the owners or groomer. they are great) can be a bit clueless about scheduling. I called to make an appointment and she told me the shop opened at 9 so I could have that first appointment, but when a friend called separately for an appointment on the same day, she said the shop opened at 10 and gave her that one as the "first appointment." Go figure.

I found this interesting and annoying because I don't think the dogs should have to wait in cages unnecessarily because of carelessness. If you are going to come here here (which you should, because the grooming is great and the owners are pretty friendly), just make an appointment in-person or ask for one of the owners over the phone.

The last time I took my shihtzu here they left her whole mouth hairs dirty. She smelled like a dirty dog sprinkled with powder. All they did f was give give her a hair cut. I showed the lady behind the counter and she tried to pull it off with a piece of napkin and was hurting my dog. I snatched her away. If they are not going to make sure they do a thorough job with each dog then they shouldn't even be called groomers.

Never again will I go here for grooming services. I called ahead of time to ask if i can get my dog groomed right after giving my precious dog his rabies vaccine. Lady on the phone said yes. So I bring him in and a Asian lady comes out to get the dog and ask me how I want him cut. I explained to her 5 times and she still did not understand. Finally I show her a picture on my phone, she nods her head and takes him back with her.

As I'm waiting I'm asking the girl behind the desk some questions and she's super dismissive. Finally I double check to see if it's ok that he's getting groomed right after his rabies vaccine. She walks away annoyed and comes back with my dog saying the groomer said after 3 days. I will never ever go here again!

I have a small morkie puppy. She has only had one haircut before her visit here at the diamond collar. So I was very hesitant about how she might react. I came in early yesterday morning, without any scheduled appointment and was greeted by the lady in the front desk. She was very nice and accommodating to the fact that I was a walk in. We waiteda couple of minutes for the groomer to arrive and was right away take care of.

I came in at 10am and was out by 11:45! I wasn't sure I wanted to leave my little one in the shop (as I have anxiety leaving her with strangers) so I waited and had a lengthy conversation with the front desk staff. She was very sweet and gave me a bunch of ask for advice about my baby. Overall my experience was fantastic and my little came out looking fabulous! Will definitely be back. Only paid $50.00 (Cash, was told that groom is cash only) lucky for me I was carrying cash with Me!

AMAZING FIRST TIME-1ST CLASS TREATMENT, My original grooming place closed down so i was in need to get my beagle cleaned and groomed which was a scary thing since you never know how reliable a place can be However Diamond Collar far exceeded all my expectations!. Firstly the lady who picked up the phone was so courteous and nice and actually offered me a same day appointment which was amazingly convenient! when my dog was bought to Diamond Collar, the professionalism and customer service was outstanding. i was in a rush to get my dog (Skippy) in and out and was explained that i couldn't leave my dog there for the day, but they would try their best to finish in time which they did to perfection.

Overall experience was the literally (perfect). they were prompt & started on time and did the full service grooming for a great affordable price and within a reasonable time that works with your schedule. the quality was 10/10. my dog looked amazing-clean and neat. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will make this place HOME for Skippy!. would recommend to any and everyone who is looking for a reliable grooming salon. I didn't get any dog product but the selection was massive. THANK YOU Diamond Collar staff and employees you guys rock!

My baby Toto needs TLC hes very anxious dog. I have to supply my own shampoo and they are fine bc he has allergies. I always feel like hes in good hands.

I don't think I would recommend this place. I called for an appt to get my dog groomed and they gave me a time. My husband dropped off our dog on time and the woman told my husband she would call when the dog was finished and it would be about 2 hours. My husband called 2 and half hours later to see if the dog was ready and the man on the phone said it would be another hour.

My husband got a little nervous so he went back to the store only to find our dog in a cage and not even touched yet! My husband was very upset to say the least and he just took our pup home. They should have called us to let us know it was going to take so long instead they just leave the dogs sitting in a cage. Sorry I'm not cool w that. The lady behind the counter had just gotten there so she was apologetic, but def not a good impression. We won't be going back.

This place simply is amazing James the owner is such a friendly person. His two dogs, Charlie and Premo are always there to greet you. Super friendly dogs. James has an amazing story, that's what makes this place stand out from the rest and makes his customers keep going back with there 4 legged babies My 2 year old Yorkie, Nismo, has a great time every time we bring him here, he runs around with Charlie and Premo and ways gets some new toys after his grooming. It's one place he is not scared to visit.

Wow do they make dogs look good! I've brought my Chihuahua here for the last 5 years and have always had a wonderful experience. My dog comes out looking like a star, and the staff is always friendly and fun to hang out with. The owners are two of the most caring and giving people when it comes with animals, and they lead rescue efforts out of their store.

You can get your dog groomed in many places, but not one that actually rescues pets and finds them homes - I feel like my money is well spent here. And besides grooming, they've got a huge selection of clothing, pet foods, and just about any kind of accessory you want. They're also a great source of advice and knowledge, and the best part is that you can feel comfortable getting your pet groomed in a store that cares as much about pets as they do; I'm confident my dog is safe here.

Great job on the haircut. They were gentle with my dog. The price was just right and he was ready in less than 3 hours. Bailey (my dog) seemed happy and that is a good sign after a cut- I've gone to places in which he seemed frightened. I would definitely recommend diamond collar to anyone with a dog

I walked into the diamond collar three years ago when I moved to Brooklyn, to buy my cat his favorite blue buffalo food and ended up with not only a new favorite pet store, but great friends. Lena and james truly care about every pet that comes through their doors and every employee here will treat your animals with the utmost love and respect that they deserve.

Whenever I bring my kitty, olivier in for a nail clipping, he gets plenty of hugs, kisses and scratchies! They definitely take painstaking care choosing the adorable accessories, cute doggie outfits, toys food and snacks that they carry. They have the best dog and cat food brands (royal canin, blue, etc) and tons of natural, healthy noms for your little furbaby.

This is definitely a boutique for a spoiled rotten pup or cat! Not your average selection. Overall, the reason I love the diamond collar the most, is that I know that there is nothing but love behind everything. When I lost my job and couldn't afford olivier's wet cat food for the whole week, james made sure he threw in extra cans. They truly care about the animals and that's what makes this such a special place.

DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! They injured my sister's dog while they were grooming her. They cut her paw badly which resulted in a horrible wound and a $1000 vet bill. When she confronted the owner about the injury, they said that there was no proof that they did anything and that it was probably from a spider bite. Avoid this place like the plague. I also suspect that they do not have a license to groom dogs since they only accept cash to do so.
