Babette began the South Florida school in 1989. As an experienced trainer and dog owner, she fully understands the need of owners to live a stress-free life of harmony and balance with their dog. As a mom to two young children, she knows first-hand the needs of the family who may be bringing home a new baby or have children who need to be able to control the dog as well as mom and dad.

In this six-week course, your dog will learn how to walk on a loose leash, sit and stay for three minutes with distractions, down-stay for five minutes with distractions, go-to place and come when called. Our puppy Wilson has showed tremendous improvement with his on leash training, recall skills, and is definitely more focused on behaving like a great dog. The auto-sit training is a game changer and fellow dog walkers in the neighborhood are extremely jealous, especially since Wilson is only 5 months old! The entire staff is great and is real pleasure to work with! Here are some photos of the puppy school graduate!

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Babette and her team! I signed my dog Bowie up for the day school program, and I have seen so much improvement in his leash skills and recall. The weekly training sessions set me up for success to work on everything Bowie had learned the previous week at school. The entire team showed Bowie so much love, and he was always eager and excited to see his instructors. I can't recommend this program enough! Thank you to everyone at Haggerty Dog Training! We will definitely be coming back for more sessions in the future.

Highly recommend Haggerty Dog Training for the BEST training experience. I reached out to the Haggerty Dog Training team for help to turn my WILD fourteen month old black lab, Sassy, into my dream dog. Babette worked her magic and transformed Sassy's uncontrollable behavior within the first session. The training sessions are helping me establish myself as the pack leader and teach Sassy to listen and follow instructions.
The better behaved my dog is, the easier it is to take her along wherever I go. After our third training session, I was able to take her for a walk for the first time in over a year! The Haggerty's team exemplifies the must have qualities in a Dog Trainer: knowledge, patience, positivity, clear communication, great listener, and a love of dogs. We still have a couple of private lessons to go, but I'm already looking forward to continuing training with the Haggerty team.

After 18 months of Covid lockdown, our dog became overly possessive and occasionally aggressive with strangers and with some family members who came to visit. After The 6-week day school program, we saw a marked positive change and a much calmer and more obedient pet. Babette Haggerty and her staff of trainers are professional, caring and really worked with our dog to correct the issues.
Never too busy to take a call and answer questions. The once a week follow up session to work with us to be consistent with the trainers gave us a lot of confidence as as well. An excellent experience.

I have a 11 month old Golden Retriever, Lola that has a lot of energy and loves to play. My husband and I were having a hard time with basic obedience and walking her as we always felt she was walking us. Haggerty Dog Training team has completely changed her behavior. Babette and her entire team are patient, kind, and always willing to help. I highly recommend Haggerty Dog Training.

We have had a wonderful experience with both of our dogs here. More recently out very scared and shy dog attended day school for three weeks and has done so well! He is more confident and has come such a long way with his obedience too. He always came home so happy and was happy to hop out of the car in the mornings! We also appreciate all the extra precautions taken during COVID, we can't wait to bring him back for more lessons in the future.

Our dog Phil is a 4 year old Shihtzu that we had for 3 years. During this time, we noticed he was both dog and people aggressive. We neutered him, changed his food, got him evaluated by a vet and it only slightly helped. He was still a problem. I ended up doing some research and found Haggerty Dog Training. They listened to my issues, reviewed Phil and recommended the 3 week (Monday through Thursday) on-site course.
I was lucky with a Black Friday sale where I get an extra week. Phil completed 2 weeks, has 2 more to go and we already notice a positive difference. I reinforced what they showed me on how to walk him, train him and have him behave with corrections around other dogs or people. He is actually behaving around other dogs and people normally. Every once in a while he misbehaves, but we quickly use the correction methods and it works.
From a value perspective, the dog camp was significantly cheaper than the quotes of having other trainers come to the home. As long as we use the training methods, it works. What was also very nice was that Haggerty took a Christmas photo of the dog and made it a tree ornament for us. They gave Phil a Christmas gift of treats as well. Plus they offered their customers cookies and cake before Christmas.
