This is the best place to get your first bird, the staff are really friendly and always tell you things that you need to know when you want to buy your first bird. They have new birds every week, and they also have cats walking around the store but the cats don't disturb people or the birds. If you are looking to buy your first bird, this is the place for you! (This is my bird that I bought from the, he is a cockatiel)

This place is the real deal they are great breeders and they aren't overpriced. Truth is birds are expensive. They are very educated and will guide you through the whole process of choosing a bird, watching it be born, and informing you of when it's ready to be taken home. They do not let baby birds leave the store if you aren't experienced with birds. It's a far drive for me I checked out many places near me and really no one compared to them!

Came in Saturday afternoon at 4 for a quick wing clipping, I've came before and was told it's best to come after 2. The store was empty aside for the customer paying in-front of me and a lady being helped by a sales associate. I saw another girl come from the back and I walked up to her and said if she can pls help me. This was the rudest associate I've ever encountered.

She asked if I had an appt, I told her no I wasn't aware I needed one. She began saying I can't just pop in without one, they're busy etc. I apologized and told her again I was not aware and since I had come all this way if she can pls accommodate me and I'll know for next time. She began telling me that since the bird wasn't purchased at this store I can't even have it by the counter needs to left by the front door on the floor. (It was 3 month old lovebird) she says u can only pop in without an appt if the bird was purchased at the store. I've bought 2 other lovebirds from them and 2 parrotlets, I'm a recurring customer not to mention the bird cages I've bought and I come in monthly to stock up on food etc.

Another associate over heard and began reiterating their policy and acting as though I was asking them to preform open heart surgery, it's a quick wing trim. After the associate said "$16" not a okay we can help but a flat "$16" very rude. I understand it's their policy, that's not the issue I have. I have an issue that I'm a recurring customer and to be treated like shit is disheartening.

I just told her never mind, I'll go else where. I'm not sure if it's a lack of not wanting to work or a lack of professionalism but what ever happened to accommodating a customer. I kept my cool and left. Won't ever return.

Solid five stars. We have a Quaker parrot which grew it's beak out too long. We called, spoke to them, and made an appointment to have them trim it. They genuinely care and took time with us. Their process was fast, easy, and smooth. I won't go anywhere else and will buy our birds from them in the future. Trustworthy.

I'll start by saying that I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are alternative businesses that would be more deserving of your business. My wife and I took our kids to Sambad's Bird House to inquire about a Lorikeet that we wanted to buy. We took a walk through the store and made our way to the register to ask some questions. I was attended by a young woman that was extremely rude.

After I asked her what she could tell me about the Lorikeets (in an attempt to hear pros and cons to bird ownership) she told me that the only bird option was a parakeet. She then turned to the customer behind me in line and ended our conversation. I have never felt more disrespected or dismissed. This is not the experience I was hoping to have in an established business like this. Please shop elsewhere.

We found a Australian Grey Cockatiel on the board walk while visiting Miami. We called every where looking for anyone to help it. Simbads was the only one that told us to bring it in. Upon arrival the gentleman instantly said it was malnourished and immediately said he was going to help it get healthy again. Thank you for saving this bird!

Simbad's has been opened for years, remember when I first walked in, it was 1992, I had just arrived from Cuba and always wanted a parrot. Now 29 years later, came back with my daughter to get her first bird. and the service, care, love hasn't changed. I could have gone anywhere but that first impression stayed always in my mind.

Great place to get a new member of the family. Be aware when you walk in with your bird you have to put it by the door. I feel like this is a great safety measure for their birds but could use a better spot due to someone being able to walk in and take yours. they do great maintance on birds such as wing clips, nail trims and beak trims.

We bought 4 parakeets here in the past 4 year who despite our care, experience & love all died within months. this week I called to ask if there were baby parakeets which they confirmed, my son (13) got there at 5:20pm but was not attended and when I got there a few minutes later (still before 5:30pm when they close), they had already asked my son to leave and shut the door.very bad customer service.

Miserably place to go to if you know birds. Finches over packed in cages like sardines, half missing tails and feathers on head. Parrots look miserable as if asking to be put out of their misery. Staff can give three s@#&* if you need help with anything. You can literally stand there with a wad of cash wanting to buy half the birds there and you'll still be left standing there without help, that's how arrogant these people are. They act like they are the only bird suppliers in town. I suggest anyone with true avian knowledge to skip this clown circus!

Purchased my cockatiel there and he is the sweetest thing! I paid extra for a DNA test but am so happy with their services. They offer boarding and have a huge variety of birds available. It's so nice to just stop by and see all of them. Friendly staff and busy shop. Very much recommend

I bought my green cheek conure here. Great employees from the girls at the counter to the staff all around the store. The birds here are loved and well taken care of.

If you have any concerns about your bird they'll help friendly business owner, i find nice treats and toys for my birds and wish they had a variety on large bird toys instore, a little far from my house but its worth the drive. Soon we will be adopting a new family member from them can't wait!

Small birds seem overcrowded and stressed. Needs an avian vet to come in and help them with proper treatment for these birds.

My Christmas present was Einstein from my late husband 17 years ago from Simbads Bird House Inc. If you want a healthy bird, well breed, this is the place. The premises is clean, friendly and in business for over 30 years. Dependable place for all your bird's needs.

We come to buy supplies for our parakeets here, and recently bought an Australian goldfinch and a beautiful stainless steel Chinese style birdcage! Great customer service and fair prices.

The most horrible pet store EVER. Horrible people working there and the birds are always sick. The people there have an attitude and I have a terrible story from them. I had visited the store and made it clear that I wanted a specific bird, and that I would come back within thE week to buy it. I even called them the day I was going in the purchase him. I arrived within a few hours of calling and when I arrived, the bird had been sold. Screw this place! They are commercial and twisted.

I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could. We'll start from outside and go in. The parking lot sucks. Incredibly hard to get in and out of. I braved going into miami for this store, dealing with traffic for an hour. Sad to say, it's not worth it. They only let birds come in if they are in a carrier and you leave them by the front door. I got to listen to my bird cry for an hour while I looked around.

I realized very quickly we were not going to purchase anything. Everything was CRAZY over priced. The only thing I purchased was two bags of papaya cubes. Definitely no toys. I wouldnt board my bird there specifically because the Public can access the boarding room and like touch the birds and who knows what can happen in a situation like that. It's not worth braving Miami traffic for.

Not even close. I won't be going back. The best thing I can say is their birds look very healthy. Which is way more than you can say from bills birds and the bird house.

What a great experience. You can tell they really take good care of their birds. The place is always super clean, birds look happy and healthy. I just got a baby green cheek conure and it's the cutest thing. Tito is a great guy, super helpful and friendly. My Brother have been using this pet shop for over 20 years. Recently we went to board Chico, the parrot. He's a character, and everybody knows him. On this occasion they placed his cage next to a female parrot and she started conversation with him. He was throwing kisses at her. Hilarious! They have an array of birds on site, some of which are their own.

If you were always having trouble finding a bird that is friendly and doesn't nip you roughly? This place has the sweetest birds I've ever met they're adorable and healthy we got two birds from here my kids love to play with the birds. I think this is a very good place to go get a bird prices are a little pricey but it's worth it to have a little feathered friend.

I went with my aunt to get a flight type cage for her finches. The staff was knowledgeable and what she wanted was not in stock but they got it a week later. No drama, no time wasting run around which is sadly TYPICAL is Miami and that was a refreshing thing. The immediate parking lot is small but lots of parking in surrounding area. I picked up the cage for her and the whole experience was fine. Their birds look great.

I've been buying my bird supplies at Simbad's for almost 5 years now and I've had nothing but a pleasant visit there every single time. There's always someone willing to help you out with a smile. I just regret not having gone to them way before I started, which was right after having a horrible experience with another bird supply business.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BIRD HERE FOR GROOMING. I brought my 6 month old lovebird to get her nails and beak done. First off they took my bird to another building to do this without me and they continued to cauterize her nails without me knowing! I got her back and she was traumatized with black nails and she smelled as if she had just been burned. This is cruel and extremely painful for the bird as the cautery is very hot. Do not bring your bird here.

Very friendly and professional staff, many beautiful parrots and birds for sale, lots of nice cages and toys. Loved the fact that the store is not too big, not too loud and the staff has time to talk to their customers, explain and give advice.
