Polite staff, always a follow up phone call the day after to check on the pets. The lobby is clean. The providers are personable. The only thing that raised my eyebrow is that I took our senior Boxer in for an annual and they recommended a panel of tests via their "Senior package". It was pricey and they discovered that our dog had a bladder infection. Was given the meds for that.
They checked back in after the meds were complete and wanted us to bring our boxer back in for more testing to "make sure the infection was gone". They wanted to charge for the additional bloodwork and I declined (Besides, why would there be an infection after the meds were finished?). I feel any follow up testing should be free if you buy into a "test package". Additionally, I brought in our guineas for their annual visit and asked if they could do a nail trim while they were there. Was charged for the nail trim and I felt that should also be a part of the service within a wellness exam.
On my follow up phone call the lady was very receptive to my concern and promised to let the provider know. Overall, friendly staff and providers, but I would recommend being aware of what all you're being afforded with your service.

I have had experience with this vet practice for over 10 years and 3 different animals. Wonderful, caring doctors and staff. We've entrusted them with euthanasia. We've had an experience where they caught a particularly devastating diagnosis. In my experience, they have a great attention to detail, and refer to specialists when necessary. We've used their boarding services as well, with good results. Dr. Arnold and Dr. Holwegner are my faves but everyone is top notch! Highly recommend.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and I knew my dog was in good hands. I appreciated the way they communicated - non-judgmental, and professional. We went in through the urgent care side and have decided to make them our regular vet based on how they treated our dog and us.

My first experience with Raintree was AWESOME! 2 cats and 1 dog annual exams. Staff was excellent and very thorough and gentle with each of the animals. Explanations and discussions were not rushed all questions were answered. Recommendations were made for followup care within very reasonable timelines. Raintree was recommended by 3 sources and I am very happy I followed their advice. Looking forward to the next "non-emergency" visit :-

We keep bringing our pets back to Raintree because they are quite simply the best. You won't find a more caring group of individuals who really take the time to listen to your concerns and go above and beyond to help find solutions. With 3 pets over the last 10 years, we've had a lot of vet visits, and I always know my pets are getting the best care possible. From the front desk staff, to the vet techs, to the veterinarians, this is an amazing group of dedicated people. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Best vet I have ever had! I would recommend them to everyone. When I had to put my 13 year old cat down they made it as smooth as it could be. I told my doctor I wasn't good on money and she was very honest with me on my options and what was probably going on with him. Instead of having me pay for the cancer screening which I couldn't afford the treatment.
I decided to medicate him to be comfortable until it got worse. Then Christmas came around they sent out the sweetest cards saying they have complimentary Christmas ornaments for every pet that passed and I could come get it. Then when I got another kitten and brought him in I had to be with a different doctor but she knew me, not just my file but me as a person. Their kitten package is also gonna save me a lot of money and I'm getting such high quality of care!

I take my two lizards to Raintree and I have ever since we got our first one a year ago. They are always so great and take such great care of them. We drive 45 minutes to go here because of how much we like the service and the vet, Dr. Arnold. He is so knowledgeable and answers every question we may have. Absolutely love this vet office and will continue taking my animals here for a very long time.

Raintree is amazing! Great docs, techs, hours and services. My cat also has kidney failure and they told me about a clinical trial for her. She qualified and was part of that for a year and a half and the results were great. Anytime something comes up, they are responsive, client-focused and talk honestly about options. Can't recommend them enough!

We moved to town 6 months ago and our rescue baby had a medical emergency. We panicked and were terrified because our dogs just had their annual visits right before we moved. We had no vet nor a clue of where to go. A dog mom's worst nightmare. Over a year ago, we had bad experiences in Texas where one of our dogs almost passed due to negligence and improper care.
Now this place Rain Tree- just WOW . Now mind you, I am a Karen dog parent. I know, I'm sorry. But our family does not just have 3 dogs but 3 legal ESA's and my health is directly connected to the well being of my dogs. So in this topic, I'm very hard to impress. I have never felt that my dog was more safe, cared for, or loved by any other place and team.
They were there every step of the way and were just as sincerely worried as we were. I was absolutely blown away and it put me to tears. Turns out, our Ellie ate a squeaky toy heart and had a dangerous obstruction. Because of this team, our Ellie can keep squeaking on, but without the added snack. Thank you Rain Tree, for saving my Ellie.

This clinic is the best. They're super thorough, they're reliable, they'll answer any questions you have right off the bat. They are super gentle with your animals--I know this because I was in the room when they examined my very nervous cat. They're also able to schedule you really quickly, within a few days generally. Overall they're really good, I understand that they are a little higher priced than other clinics that you might see, but they are so good with your animals, and the quality of care you get, you won't regret taking your animals here!

Everyone at Raintree is so incredibly helpful, I would have been lost without them in the whole EU pet health certificate process. Special shout out to Stephanie and Erin who did so much research on my behalf to make sure that everything was in order, they went above and beyond! In general, my Prudence loves to come visit her friends at Raintree, everyone is very kind and loving to my fur baby!

I love this vet. They're by far the most informative and transparent vet I've worked with. Dr. Holwegner provides thorough exams, and provides ALL the treatment options. I personally WANT to know the high cost treatments vs. the cost efficient yet effective treatments. She answers all my questions and gives examples from her experience on other cases. From the automated notifications to the puppy package bundle, I feel like my dog's care is well looked after by Raintree.

I've been going to Raintree for over 10 years. I've had two cats cross the Rainbow Bridge with them. And they helped save Lil' Jackie from her imminent demise. And, in knowing that. I would put any of my animals under the care of Dr. Jon Arnold DVM of Raintree Animal Hospital. His staff are friendly, personable and outgoing. They make the client and patient feel at ease.
And the office manager Stephanie is awesome to work with. Thanks again Raintree with helping me through the good times (and not so good) times with my four legged critters. You guys & gals Rock it.

The staff here were super responsive and helpful. It was genuinely surprising how quickly they got back to me. Most importantly, they quickly figured out what had been making my pup, Charlie, sick. I had another vet managing his care the last few months and they shrugged off my concerns. Couldn't say enough great things about this place!

It's so hard to know where to start. First, their prices are double what other vets charge! Why? Greed. We have three dogs we've been taking to Raintree for the past couple of years and have had sad experiences with all our fur babies. It started last year when we took our Shih Tzu in when he started to lose weight. They did bloodwork and told us he had cancer and had maybe three months to live.
A couple of weeks later they called back and said they were wrong, he didn't have cancer and blamed the mistake on the lab they sent the blood to.? So hundreds of dollars later. don't know what's wrong. They did more blood tests, more money, they said his liver enzymes were high but offered no medication and said he was getting skinny from old age.he continued to lose weight despite how much we fed him.
He started to look soooo skinny, he looked starved.we took him back about 8 months later because I knew something had to be wrong. More blood tests, they said he had still had high liver enzymes but they wanted to have a specialist come to do a CT scan. 800 dollars later they said they couldn't find anything else wrong. He was eating close to a pound of homemade food a day, the same food our other two eat. and he looked like he was about to die. Dr. Sara Sheltren told us we should consider him on Hospice care abut suggested he may do better on a medicine that would help his liver process the food better.
So now one month later he's gained all his weight back. they could have and should have put him on the medicine before the CT scan and eight months earlier! Took our 6 year old dog in for a teeth cleaning and they said he needed all his teeth REMOVED! So just under 2 grand later we picked him up and they said that they also fixed a BROKEN JAW that they said was probably broken before the surgery! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
He needed to go back in a week to have his stitches removed. two weeks after that we took him to the groomer and she said she found stitches still in his jaw! Took him back for that and they acted like oh, it happens. Then our new 14 week old puppy went in for a wellness check. she'd been frantically scratching at both ears and crying so I told them I was convinced she has ear infections in both ears. they said no she did not.
I asked why she would be scratching and she said sometimes it takes puppies some time to get used to their new skin! A month later, watching my puppy scratch at her ears and cry I called them back and said I really thought she had something wrong with her ears. took her back and NOW they asked if they could do a cytology test to test the bacteria in her ears. they never asked to do that the first time!
They just looked in her ears. Guess what. double ear infection! When we complained about being charged for the second visit cost (90 dollars each time) they would not take it off. We insisted on talking to a manager who never called back! It took weeks to get someone to finally call back after hounding them to PLEASE have a manager call. We now had an appointment made with them for our puppy to be spayed and a hernia taken care of.
They said they needed prior bloodwork and had to bring her in for that. They returned with her and said they stuck her THREE separate times and showed me a terrible bruise and said they could not get the blood because she was a squirmy puppy! They said they would get the blood the day of the surgery when she was under anesthesia! They had never told us they could do that or we would have done that rather than subject her to being stabbed three times with no results!
I took her home, and we called and asked the owner Dr. Arnold to please call us. In the meantime they called and CONFIRMED our scheduled surgery that Monday. The next day the manager finally called and after arguing about how they should have tested her ears the first time she finally refunded the second charge. Then. the manager called back and said they weren't going to do the surgery!
My husband said ok we'd find someone else but to please have the owner Dr. Arnold call us. He did, my husband nicely told him how he felt all of our dogs suffered at his clinic, spent thousands of dollars and how unprofessional he thought it was. Dr. Arnold could've cared less. We found another clinic to do her surgery and instead of the 1200 dollars Raintree quoted, it will cost between 400 to 500 dollars!
The new vet was surprised they tried to get blood while she was awake when they do it while she is under! All of our fur babies suffered needlessly at Raintree and we paid outrageous bills for it. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO RAINTREE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

I really can't say good enough things about this animal hospital and the staff! They are a really incredible team who I really trust taking my two Samoyeds to. I have been going here since January and every time I visit the staff are knowledgeable and kind. Even with the Covid restrictions that are in place their system of getting your animal in and out has been a smooth process.
The techs are very good at their job as are the vets and front desk staff. Today I had to take my dog in for a UTI and they were able to get her scheduled last minute and give her the treatment that she needed. Prior to going here I lived in Denver and took my dogs to a place in Denver that was highly rated but I never really had a good experience. Now that I take my dogs here I feel so assured they are in great hands.

If I could write a review solely on dr. arnold this would be 5 star plus! He is absolutely amazing! He is one of the vets at this clinic. He has a fantastic bed side manner with the dogs and humans alike. He has always been good with my very scared trio of dogs. And has been good at explaining things and the care that he has offered has been A+. He really is a gem in the veterinary world!
However raintree is a little more pricey than some of the other vet clinics in town. I have 3 medium-large dogs and am on a budge so unfortunately can't always afford to go with more expensive. If you are wanting to book in advance for check ups then i could book appointments with Dr Arnold. But if needing something more urgent then he is a little harder to see.
I have not enjoyed the other vets as much there. Though I did really enjoy one of their relief Doctors. She is not on the regular staff. One doctor who is no longer there, had a horrible bed side manner when telling me that my cat needed to be put to sleep and had cancer and nothing that he could do. This came as a total shock and he was pretty cold about the whole thing.
How do you tell someone their cat is going to need to be put down and has cancer and just do it matter of factly without any apologizing or just compassion? He is no longer there though so that is good. Another time i tried to get an appointment because my dogs face was swelling and pretty big. They had none available for 2 days. i asked if i could please get benadryl dosing then so i could do something for my pup.
They said they needed to ask the doctors if that was ok. Well they did call me back but not until the next day! : That was kind of the last straw for me. Another vet i was able to get the dosing from AND get my dog an appointment that afternoon though with the benadryl her face did start coming down in swelling. That office had worried that if it didnt her throat may close off. Come on guys! if you can't get someone in at least answer their question so they can try to take care of their dog themself.

I needed to get her cat seen as a new patient during COVID restrictions due to GI concerns. This clinic went above and beyond my expectations of getting us in in a timely manner, taking excellent care of my cat, and having extremely good communication skills over the phone. Due to COVID restrictions, I still have not met the team face-to-face other than a tech to do a hand off with, however, every interaction over the phone is as informative if not more so than if we were in person.
They have responded to every email and even called back after hours on a couple of occasions. I am extremely happy with this team and look forward to the day I can meet them in person as I continue my cat's care with this team.

Dr. Arnold is a saint. We took our cat Astrid in for a check up after a worrisome event and the doctor was so kind and respectful. He didn't try and push unnecessary treatments and made me feel like I was in control of my pets health. Raintree was so lovely we even set up wellness checks for our two pups! They clearly explained the price and took great care of my little baby. The Vet techs were so polite. I would absolutely recommend to my friends and family.

Our newly diagnosed diabetic cat has been a patient at Raintree Animal for about 4 months now. Dr. Arnold and staff have been very attentive and helpful getting our kitty's disease under control. The staff has been helpful relaying our blood glucose mesurments to the Dr and providing us with the reccomended next steps. The only thing i wished were different is that the hours to drop off or pick up a pet from bording are very restrictive. We would use the bording service more if the pickup/dropoff times worked with our schedule.

If I would have read the reviews about this place first, I never would have gone here. My dog needed to be seen for some urinary issues. While he was taken "to the back" for an exam, he was injured and now I am faced with more vet bills than I began with, to possibly fix some issues he now has with his neck, either for being "caught wrong" trying to jump off the table or from "flailing around".
I have been told 2 different things. It boils down to the fact my dog was handled in a rough manner and there is no excuse for that. Not much apology, sympathy, or concern at all for the stress they caused my dog and I. And I guess I can forget any type of reimbursement for problems they caused my dog. If you care about your pets, steer clear. They don't!

Terrible service, and not towards me, towards our kiddos. They didn't bother informing us that our cats didn't eat for 3 days while boarding with them. When we were handed back 3 days of food out of the 4 we confronted them and they said that's normal. it's not. My dog Kaycee came back with a UTI. She always gets them when she has to hold her pee. this made my heart ache. : I am extremely sad and disappointed with the treatment our animals received. If you care about your pets, please avoid/think twice about using Raintree services.

We were in the first stage of heartworm treatment and in between a vaccination and a booster for our dog when we were asked to find another vet. We were told that between our dogs 'emergency's' ( I have no idea what they meant by that, honestly) and their vet techs unwillingness/inability to handle our dog (a rescue who suffered abuse at the hands of his former owner), that we should find another veterinarian to administer the booster and to continue heartworm treatment with.
Some of this information was left on my voicemail by a vet, the rest of it was relayed by a desk girl. I'm sure there are reasons for a few of the great reviews for Raintree, my experience was having my heartworm positive dog rejected for care by a part time vet who likely shouldn't have taken a heartworm case in the first place and a desk girl with an attitude problem. If you're wondering why their reviews on Google are so good(hundreds of 5 star reviews), it's because they solicit thru emails.

Jennifer Davis prescribed and wanted me to give my very sick cat a lethal dose of 1mg zanex +.25mg trazedone before her appt to calm her enough for an exam! Good thing I research anything that goes into my cat! I called their referring emergency afterhours vet clinic who agreed fully with me, that that is a lethal dose and if she hadn't died, that amount of zanex more times than not actually makes them more aggressive.
Just like humans. I went in to ask wth she was thinking and she angrily got on the internet to google some vet that once prescribed the same thing! LOL I was trying to save her life and health, not kill her myself and have to pay for that terrible event!

Best vet in Fort Collins! I take all 3 of my dogs here and their entire staff is amazing. They genuinely care about me and my dogs and make it known by spending the extra time for cuddles during appointments and never rushing us through. My dogs have had everything done here; dentals, vaccines, neuters, and general visits and we've never been disappointed. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. I needed to get updated shots for both of my dogs. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and very well-informed. They approached everything with compassion and understanding. It is blatantly obvious how much they LOVE animals by the way they interact with pets and owners. I boarded them there a week or so later, and I can say that I will never go anywhere else again while I live in Northern Colorado.
I was worried about them because I hadn't boarded my golden in years and never boarded my border collie. They came out of boarding happy as can be and energetic as usual. They got to sleep in the same large kennel, get plenty of walks and lots of lovins. They were in such good hands. I would recommend them to anyone.

We have used Dr Arnold specifically for about 6 years now, for 4 pets, for countless procedures/visits, and he has been amazing! I am very picky about veterinarians because I used to work in the field just as an assistant but for quite a few different doctors, so I know what I'm looking for in a doctor and in a hospital. Seriously after countless visits and maybe one or two non-lead vet technicians over the years that weren't my absolute favorite, which is understandable, this doctor has been nothing short of amazing.
And most of the technicians especially the lead or long-term technicians have been incredible. Dr Arnold performed a surgery on our 14 year old dog with heart problem which is very risky and he did an incredible job. He has also performed dental procedures on two of our other pets and has done all of our exams over the years. He sent us to a specialist that was able to take wonderful care of our cat for an ear problem that required surgery as well.
One of the marks of a great of doctor is knowing when to send your patient to a specialist so I really appreciate that. I can tell he has amazing animal sense, our pets love him, his knowledge is extensive but he knows when to call in a specialist, and we just completely trust him with truly caring about her pets and only wanted to do what's best for them.
He never recommends anything that would put the pets under too much stress and he is even been able to discount certain procedures before to make sure that we were able to do them. I'm not saying he will always be able to adjust prices, but it was certainly appreciated in dire circumstances. They aren't the cheapest, but they aren't the most expensive either and speaking from the other side, it isn't cheap to provide vet care anyway. Dr Arnold in particular (they care all nice but I say request him!) is an amazing guy and an amazing vet and even though we are leaving the area it we might still drive up just to see him for most of our appointments.

This clinic is wonderful. They are so personal and called my husband and I by name during the entire time we were there, they were so friendly toward my dog, gave him lots of treats during the appointment, and the vet even sat on the floor with him during the appointment. He needed meds and they had them ready within 5 minutes after the appt and we were on our way.
Student discount + we had a free appt for our first one. Nice new looking location/clean environment. Very enjoyable experience for our first time here! Even sent a nice hand written thank you with a survey within a few days after our appointment.

Took my dogger here when his regular vet was out of town. They got me in the next day. The exam room was clean. The examination itself thorough. The charges were very clearly explained before tests were run. The vet and his tech were very very pleasant and tolerated my little tidbit stories about my dog's awesome. All dog owners think theirs is special, I know, but if a clinic gives me even a hint of eye roll. Suffice to say I was very happy with Raintree.
