I absolutely love Battleground Hospital. I've been bringing my pups and guinea pigs here ever since I moved to Tennessee in 2019. We've seen all three of the vets at Battleground, and I would describe each of them as intelligent, kind, and soundly dedicated to their critter patients. They've helped us with annual exams, ear infections, spay/neuter, and more! You can't go wrong with Battleground :

We've been with Dr. Bob Russel for almost 17 years now, and couldn't ask for a more attentive veterinarian for our beloved Pembroke Welsh Corgis! During that time, we've also seen Dr. Jim Russel and Dr. Dawson and they are all equally awesome! In addition, the staff are all top notch, from the all the technicians, the front desk staff, grooming and boarding etc, we trust Battleground 100% with the health, safety and well-being our our pets!
We even moved 25 miles south to another county, but still will not part with these great folks! Our corgis have all lived to a very old age, and we contribute that partly to the wonderful vet care they have received over the years!

THE best vet around. Caring, patient and know how to handle difficult babies! We love it here! We tried 4 different vets before non would even try to cut my dogs nails etc unless we totally knocked him out. Here they have amazing alternatives and will try many things first. We found one that worked without total sedation and we are thrilled!

Dr. Bob performed ACL surgery on our dog last week. She stayed for several days while we were out of town. Staff kept us informed even calling us Sunday morning with an update. She is doing great while recovering at home. We have been Battleground patients for well over 10 years with Dr. Dawson as our primary vet. Can't say enough good things about Battleground. Highly recommend!

Dr. Dawson and her colleagues at Battle Ground Animal Hospital in Franklin will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our 11 yo black lab/terrier mix Stevie was the picture of health until a malignant spindle cancer hit took her from us in just a few short months. I'm a single parent, and providing treatment was a hardship (but a hardship we absolutely wanted to take-on). Dr. Dawson and her staff helped me stretch my budget and understand the avenues open to us.
So while I couldn't afford to pursue every treatment option, I felt confident that I was making the most of the funds I did have available to try to save our beloved girl. What's more, it was always a HUGE challenge to get Stevie to take her medication. When we couldn't get her to take her pills despite trying every trick in the book, the Battleground staff assisted us with pilling twice a day for nearly a week.
I would bet that nearly every employee on the Battleground team had some hand in Stevie's care, carrying her to and from our car twice per day, assisting with meds, conducting procedures (thank you to Dr. Russell for performing one of her two surgeries), caring for her in recovery, and facilitating refills and provider phone communication via the front desk.
In every way, the Battleground Animal Hospital team exceeded my expectations and delivered care in a way that demonstrated genuine caring and respect for our family. That compassion has means everything to us-thank you, we will always be grateful and cannot recommend you more highly.

Battleground is WONDERFUL! I've had encounters with all three vets with my current dog, and they are all incredible. They are very professional, informative and have nothing but positive things to say about my dog. I appreciate that each vet and staff member can answer my questions with confidence, while also giving different scenarios/options. This business is full of helpful and knowledgeable individuals whom I am SO grateful for.
The respect is mutual! Side-note - they often run sales on their website for items like heartworm prevention, which I have found to be rare otherwise. Your pets will love these people as much as they love your pets!
