I'm at one of the girls who was delivering food to how she was really nice so I presume the place is really nice and I see a lot of people go in there

I love this neighborhood pet center. Staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They always go the extra mile to provide service with a smile. It's family friendly as well as pet friendly. We have two big dogs who go through a lot of food. I can order on line in the morning and get it the same day. The delivery service is top flight - and will often climb our 4-story walk up to drop at our apartment door. Wow! That is some awesome service! Thank you, Wilmette Pet Center.

Boarded my hamster here and they took great care of her. Also, everyone there is helpful and friendly.

We recently adopted two hamsters. I was so impressed by how helpful and friendly the staff was at WPC. They truly cared about helping both my sons find the perfect pets. They went above and beyond, including setting up our housing in the store, so that we didn't have to worry about it once we got home. The hamsters we adopted are very sweet and lovable - we couldn't be happier!

I used to shop this store occasionally when I lived in the area several years ago and got most of my fish here. I stopped in a few weeks ago for some cat food and litter and left pretty much empty-handed because the prices were so high and the selection was limited to only the most expensive brands. This place is great if you wanna feed your pampered, pedigreed pooch the very trendiest food available. If you're looking to keep your loveable mutt or rescued feral cat fed without breaking the bank - you may wanna shop down the street at Jewel.

The best pet store I know off. Thank you to the young gentlemen for his expert advise on dog food. He recommended the right product for a dog with stomach problems and gave us a can of pumpkin on the house to try adding it to the dog's diet.guess what you made a loyal customer for life. The place is awesome to take any kids to, it is full of life of all sort and it is a small business.they are essential!

I have been shopping here for years and they never let me down. There team truly cares and are very family focused. Dave is an animal care genius.

We stopped by to check out the store, and I have to say it was one of the nicest pet stores I've ever been to. Even the animals seemed happier - birds out of cages, bunnies out in the open, open to all adoption center. The staff was also very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The gentleman we talked to took his time to answer our questions without rushing or making us feel like we were just taking his time. Check it out if you're looking for a pet or need advice!

There is no regular errand I enjoy more than a stop at Wilmette Pet Center. Of course delivery is an option, but it's truly a delight to visit this shop so I prefer to go myself. The staff could not be nicer or more knowledgeable. Over the years Wilmette Pet has helped us add an axolotl, Leopard gecko, hamster(s), guinea pig, and tons of cool fish to our family.

We go to Wilmette Pet for all the pet supplies (plus everything we need for our Labrador!), lots of pet advice, nail trimmings, and overnight boarding (for the little creatures). I highly recommend Wilmette Pet Center!

When the Governor first announced we would be going on lockdown my husband ran out of the house. I figured he went to get more food, but it turned out he ran to Wilmette Pet Center to make sure the newest member of our family, Butter Cookie, had enough crickets to eat for the foreseeable future. It turns out that last trip was unnecessary because Wilmette Pet Center has continued to be open during the lockdown as an essential business. They've even continued with our cricket delivery every Monday. They've adjusted their hours a bit, but have been providing the same 5 star service, which is even more impressive during this difficult time. There's been a few times where my husband has gone to get crickets if Butter Cookie can't make it til the Monday delivery (he's a hungry lizard) and they'll take the crickets right out to my husband's car.

They are also still available for those who need a new pet to cheer them up during this gloomy time. My friend just bought a hamster from them for her daughter's bday and mentioned she had a great experience as well.

Love this facility. They love animals and are great with setting you up with meet and greets, informational advice, etc. Have bought a few animal related things from here and would definitely recommend. Always have the cutest animals up for adoption here.

My cat is SweetieRing; we met at Wilmette Pet Center where the environment is comfortable, educated, nurturing, and fun-for all species! Sweetie lives up to his name however he prefers not to travel-thank you; but his nails need trimming frequently! Cat sitters tried doing it at home; (no way).and the person who changed this entire experience is Tad! Tad's skills are innate, focused on customer service, highly effective and well above average.

While he interacts with Sweetie the nails are no longer a problem-and when that's done Sweetie sits on the counter just to hang out for a while! PS- Professionally I'm a Headhunter, i.e., Recruiter, Hiring Consultant. Tad is the kind of staff member companies' want to hire; I know from experience those individuals are hard to find!

This store is a place like no other. Helpful associates and the owner, Dave seems to always be there. You can tell that every animal in the store is lovingly cared for. I happened to find out that Wilmette Pet works with programs that give special opportunities to adults that are challenged and gives them the job experience and knowledge to move into life on their own. What a great store in so many ways.

This store has a very cordial intimate vibe unlike the chain pet stores. I have been going to this Pet Center for a long time. Dave the mgr/owner has a very well rounded supply of food and toy items for your particular pet. The store personnel are very knowledgeable and are good at answering questions. This store is very well stocked and it always has a menagerie of interesting animals available for sale or just to enjoy looking at.

While there is another pet store just blocks from me, I enjoy biking or driving the couple miles to this Pet Center. I will sometimes stop by just to pet the dogs that are available to be adopted. There are always beautiful parrots, cockatiels, or cockatoos to review for purchasing. You will enjoy the experience of being at this store.

This store is exactly what a pet store should be. They are kind, knowledgeable, caring and helpful people. I trust them with any of the pets I have had. They carry great products and sell them at fair prices. yes, you might save a few bucks online, but honestly they are awesome and it is worth it to get the amazing service here. I like to support local and I also like that they are very active in pet rescue and do a ton of community service as well.

They are always willing to help with the pets and customers and that is what it is all about. I have worked in retail in the past and customer service and hats off to Wilmette Pet. I really should have written this a long time ago, but kept forgetting. Soo shop here!

This pet store is great. From furry critters to exotic lizards to freahwater plants and fish. They have a very good selection of products that are needed for your pet and prices are reasonable. The best part of this store is the staff. From correct answers to reasonable suggestions, it is refreshing to talk to fellow animal lovers who work here. Management and staff are patient with the "younger" pet lovers, as well as the older ones. If there was a 6th start, they would get it. Thank you Wilmette Pet Center, for all your help and assistance.

Ok, there is something for everyone here, even if you don't have a pet! First off, where else are you gonna find sugar gliders, turtles, puppies, cats, tarantulas, frogs, fish.you get the point - all under one roof? Also, the staff is super friendly, and are always willing to answer any questions you have. But the best part? You can take a quick Saturday volunteer training and be able to walk their adoptable puppies and dogs anytime during store hours! It's the perfect chance to get your puppy fix without the 3 AM barking wake up call.

The staff is always super appreciative when you stop in to walk the dogs no matter how busy they are (they put a special harness on the dogs so you don't have to worry about messing it up), and they provide the poop bags and treats. Srsly, come here for your furball fix! No judgment if that fix is of the eight leg variety;)

After a work relocation, I needed a place that was close to grab food for my fur babies on my way home. Finding WPC was more than finding a place to get food for my kiddos. I ended up adopting a dog through adopt a pet here, met a great group of people who work here who are so helpful and go above and beyond and provide elite customer service. Everyone here is down to earth and you feel the passion for animals that everyone has. Dave, Yuli, Chris, Salvador and the entire team are simply wonderful and they are definitely a north shore staple if you own any animals!

We stumbled into this place off the street on a cold, rainy day and were surprised to find this gem. I've never been a pet store so absolutely teeming with life. Fantastic spot to visit, and definitely a place to consider if you're looking for pet products (and pets!) rather than going to a chain store.

Our house may as well be a pet store. Currently, we have a freshwater tank, saltwater tank, a dog, three cats, and two bottle fed foster cats. Recently, Spouse has fallen in love with hermit crabs, so when our anniversary drew closer, I knew that i had a gift he'd love. The problem is that most big box stores either don't have hermit crabs, or treat them poorly (complete with painted or glow-in-the dark shells).

I figure that unhappy hermits probably won't live long, so I decided to get him happy hermits from a local pet store. We live in the City, and none of the pet stores near us met the grade. I called Wilmette, where Tad gave me all the info I needed to know that they were the right place to go. Spouse and I headed up, and wandered around the store, and finally we're ready to check out. Tad, again, was wonderful and encouraging, and even gave us some tips on where to get crabitat supplies that they don't sell in the store.

Although we'll probably go somewhere closer for our day to day pet needs, I'd happily go back to Wilmette the next time I need an actual animal to add to the menagerie.

Friendly staff with a nice proportion of pet needs. They are one of the few shops in chicagoland that have nubia roaches!
