Services
This interest developed into a dog boarding and training business in the early 70's. My interest has always been in outdoor related activities. After graduating from Michigan State with a degree in wildlife management, I began my working career as shooting preserve manager and dog trainer at the Hunter's Creek Club.
Our exercise program at Springfield Pet Resort and Training Center is our most popular program. I believe the action of racing off across our farmland to the pond or through the woods on one of the many trails contributes greatly to the mental well-being of our guests during their stay. It also provides a time for personal contact with our staff in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
We welcome your pet to Springfield Pet Resort & Training Center. Pets will be treated with care and respect. They are our loved ones too and we treat them as such. We strive to give your pet a safe, clean and fun environment away from home where they can rest, play and bond with other dogs. The staff here at Springfield Pet Resort & Training Center is trained in pet CPR, the latest vet technologies and dog training. We have specially designed areas for long term boarding (1 month or more) as well as short term boarding options (from 1 night).
Our staff of professional trainers are dedicated to producing quality gun dogs and house dogs. The gun dog training program includes both upland and water training. Dogs are taught to heel, sit, stay, come and lay down with a few other commands, which make life with your pet more enjoyable. We begin obedience training around 8 months of age and our average length of stay is 6 to 8 weeks.

I've been boarding my dog here for about 3 years now and have only had pleasant interactions. My dog is always happy to get out of the car and go inside - that says it all for me. She's clean and ready to go when I come to pick her up. I've had other dogs at other boarding places that resulted in UTIs and flea infestations, NOT HERE! This place is really well run, clean and friendly.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness Sam from Speingfield Kennel did not respond to my emails and questions in depth or with thought. I would not trust going to a kennel that does not communicate or respond to all questions. The CKC even emphasizes not to go to breeders who do not answer all of the questions or who only respond with vague answers.
