Leashes for Living is a unique program that teaches Veterans and Persons with disabilities to train their own service dog. Through positive training techniques, the student/handler learns how to communicate with their canine partner. By teaching their dog special skills and manners, the student is capable of achieving an enhanced lifestyle. We teach you to train your dog as a Therapy dog for visitations to hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. We don't teach your dogs tricks, we work together with each individual to train your dog the skills it needs to meet specific needs as a Service/Assistance animal. Your dog can learn to open/close doors, turn lights on/off, retrieve items, diabetic alert, seizure alert, hearing alert, PTSD, and so much more. We take training Service Dogs seriously. A Service Dog is not a pet, they are a tool to enhance your ability to live life to its fullest.
I have had two dogs train with Leashes for Living Assistance Dog School. I am truly blessed to have found Leashes for Living Assistance Dog School. The program is comprehensive. Terri makes sure owners and their dogs understand everything. The program is very in depth about what a service dog should be doing and Terrie makes sure the service dog is ready for any situation.
