St. Clair Pet hospital is a full service small animal practice. The facility has been expanded to provide luxury boarding and professional grooming to offer more services to the community. We have worked closely with the Pet Rescue Network since the year 2000 to find homes for abandoned pets.
Services
Dr. Oltman is a 1978 graduate of the University of Missouri where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) Degree. He was a general practitioner in the Jefferson county area for 5 1/2 years before becoming the sole owner of the St. Clair Veterinary Clinic in 1984. We're here when you need us, whether it's for a routine checkup, a much needed vaccination, or an emergency for your pet.
When we designed our new facility, we thought about all pampered pets. Our boarding suites are large and designed so your special friends will be able to see their surroundings in a comfortable home-like room. Each suite is furnished with an area rug, a doggie pad or pillow, a toddler bed, a ceiling fan and full glass doors.
Our certified pet stylist Kendall Norman has been with us since 2006 and has built up a great clientele. Jennifer Lindgren graduated from Petropolis Grooming academy in 2015. Our clients have been impressed with their professional cuts on dogs such as Schnauzers, Poodles, Shih-Tzu's, Cocker Spaniels and more.

The vet assistants and staff were super sweet and friendly to our pup, just was not a fan of the actual dr/veterinarian. He is a little blunt and almost gave the impression he was telling us what he was going to do with our pup, rather than asking us. Letting us leave with only a 10 min visit, quick X-ray, and no temporary solution for time being (not even slinging leg to prevent further injury until surgery).
The Dr also told us we need to get him in as soon as possible for surgery since it's already been a few days, yet the earliest they had available when asked to get him scheduled was almost three weeks away. just not very practical if you have anything but a check-up.

My dog broke her femur jumping out of our side by side. These guys rearranged their schedule to squeeze her in immediately, and had her in surgery and fixed in a matter of days. Im very happy with the treatment she received, as well as the more than reasonable price they did it for. Thank you guys so much for fixing our baby!
