We were immediately impressed upon meeting Elizabeth because she connected with our two, barky dogs and calmed them down right away. One of my dogs is quite difficult and can bite and growl, especially at new people; he did not behave that way with her. When we boarded our dogs with her for 9 days, she was communicative, flexible about when we picked them up, and their behavior was improved (less barky) when they came home. I would definitely recommend her and use her services again!

I have known Elizabeth for years and she has always done such a great job taking care of my animals. I recently adopted a puppy (golden doodle) and Elizabeth has been a lifesaver. My puppy loves her! Elizabeth is professional, trustworthy and has a passion and love for animals. Elizabeth is a dog whisperer! Lady, our female Husky, loves going over to Elizabeth's and always comes back happier. Also, of you are an anxious puppy parent like me, Elizabeth will send daily pics of your baby to prove they are safe and having a great time!

We used Elizabeth for overnight pet sitting and for weekly dog sitting for 3 years while living in Davis. She's one of the few people we've found who was able to manage our boisterous hound/beagle mix-and always with a smile on her face! Elizabeth is prompt to respond to communication via text, periodically sends photos of her pack of dogs while out on walks, and clearly cares about all of the dogs (and other animals) she looks after as if they were her own. I highly recommend Elizabeth's Pet Sitting to anyone looking for a reliable caretaker of their furry loved one in the area.

We're so glad we found Elizabeth to watch our rambunctious cattle dog pup while we're out of town! Our dog hates going to the kennel and always came back a bit traumatized. We were relieved when Elizabeth watched her and was able to keep her in an environment she felt familiar with. Plus, Elizabeth always sends adorable photos of our dog having a blast with the other dogs, which is a huge comfort while we're apart from her. She gets plenty of exercise and care, which makes leaving and coming back SO much easier.

Elizabeth has always provided great care to Zoey (my pup) over the last few years that I've used her sitting services. She's always punctual and trustworthy.

Elizabeth has always taken good care of our cats, Bug and Fern, and our previous cat Hobbes. Our cat Bug has numerous medical issues and Elizabeth has been attentive with him, messaging us when she observes any changes in his behavior. She is flexible and communicative, and goes beyond her duties despite a busy schedule. For example, when we recently had a delayed flight, she agreed to stay for an extra visit, and she has even vacuumed the area around our litter boxes just to keep the floor clean for our return.

In addition, her prices are very reasonable for her services, and while we pay for a 30 minute visit twice daily, she will often stay overnight at the house which means our cats are getting a lot more company than they otherwise would. We would recommend Elizabeth to others in the area!

Elizabeth is the best, she is very reliable and is always available last minute bookings. She takes such good care of my kitties and she is my go to sitter and I trust her 100% with my babies. The best pet sitting services in the area, our 7 year old dog Olivia enjoying it since she was 4 month old. Last year during fires, Elizabeth came and picked up our dog and kept her for two weeks until were able to get back in our home. She takes dogs to dog parks twice a day. Olivia always exited to go. She is great and we trust her.

I LOVED Elizabeth's service! She certainly went extra mile when it came to my "fur babies"! She even suggested, then purchased, items to help me streamline their care! (Of course, I insisted I reimburse her!). She obviously works very hard to care for not just my "babies" (two active Guinea Pigs) but many dogs and cats! I LOVE that she has tons of experience with all kinds of pets and shows a genuine care for ALL of them!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness Not only a pet neglecter, but also an extreme coward who removes all negative reviews. If you care about the health of your pet at all, avoid this place.

I am shocked than anyone would have anything negative to say about Elizabeths Pet Services. She is loving, responsive and very attentive to my dogs every need. My boy Leroy looks forward to going to the dog park with Elizabeth and crew 3 days a week. Can't say enough great things about this special woman. She is truly a " dog whisperer".

Elizabeth Barthel is a fabulous pet sitter. I have had her come to my home at a moments notice during an emergency situation. Her rates are very comparative to other pet sitters in the Davis area. Daily visits to the dog park and updates on how my pet is enjoying socializing with the other dogs gives me comfort that she truly cares for the pets in her care. She is a 5 star pet sitter!

I wonder why Elizabeth would delete accurate reviews that lead to the hospitalization of two dogs recently in her care, leading to one death. If you're a pet owner, I would heavily reconsider booking this person to take care of your loved one.

While in the area for a family emergency, I had to the opportunity through my desperation, of contacting Liz and begging for help. She was able to squeeze me In. A matter of us both adjusting schedules, and like that, I was able to bring all of my pets to her and maintain a sense of calm during the 4 days I had to tend to my grandmother who raised me.

Mind you, I have a cat. Birds and rabbits! She's worth it and the tip as well! As for reviews I just took a chance to look at it, looks like this is slander and from a lawyers perspective, cease and desist writing them or their will be an even bigger issue legally! Thanks Liz, see you around!

We contacted Elizabeth through Rover.com, we informed her specifically of Mochi's partially torn ACL, her special needs which includes limited play time, history with recent injections and physical therapy. Her ACL issues were determined by her vet at South Davis Veterinarian as manageable and not qualified for surgery. Additionally, but also very importantly, Mochi experienced severe intussusception as a puppy and with surgery, lost a large part of her intestines.

This detail was included in Mochi's profile, care bio on Rover.com, as well as discussed directly with Elizabeth in text and in person. She Neglected my special needs dog instructions, When I picked up my dog she was Limping, Unable to use her hind legs and dragging her self with her front legs. In addition, she began licking her rectum, and upon investigation, there was an abscess that was spewing puss She was severely dehydrated due acute diarrhea and vomiting's and had to be hospitalized for days.

Her Doctor informed Us if we broguht her a day later, it would have been late Elizabeth fed my dog her own dog food without discussing it with me first knowing well that I wrote twice in instructions that she is very sensitive, She Took her on hourly runs when she had healing partially torn Acl and was told specifically not to walk or play more than 10 minutes.

My dog lost 6 pounds while staying for few days. She conformed it in texts that she ahs been taking my dog on hourly walks and dog park playtimes everyday. Mochi was no longer able to walk on her hind legs, indicating over usage of her legs. we have to have ACL surgery now. if you love your dog or pet please avoid using her services. when I was asking ehy my dog is not able to use her legs she told me to give her bed rest rude, DISMMISIVE, UNPRIOFESSIONAL AND greedy.

Elizabeth made an appointment to meet with me and did not show up. She didn't even send an email to cancel. Very unprofessional - don't waste your time trying to book her as a dog sitter.

DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR ANIMAL! She is a cocky, rude, know it all that supposedly specializes in senior dogs. She did not listen to my instructions and left my 15 year old German Shepard out in the extreme heat in his urine, resulting in maggot infested sores, hospitalization, an in the end I had to put him down. She is an absolute nightmare! Refused to refund my money (even when she told me on the phone she would refund my money if the app wouldn't pay for the vet bills, so that would help with the vet cost) and the app, Rover, I used to find her refused to pay the hospital bills.

Elizabeth was so generous and helpful! She even went to my apartment to pick up my doggie since I had a last minute event to attend. She took amazing care of my energetic doggie and I am so grateful for her! Highly recommend her!

I was really looking forward to having this be our local pet sitting service for our golden retriever - but we won't be coming back. We dropped our puppy off to stay with Elizabeth for the weekend and based on the five star reviews, were expecting him to be much better cared for. Upon arrival, I was told there were many other dogs inside and to leave him and his things outside.

I couldn't even see where he would be spending his time and what the other dogs were like. The updates provided were very basic, I had to ask specific questions to get more detail. I was sent a few cute pictures but it seemed like I was an annoyance every time I texted to check in. Upon pickup - our puppy was FILTHY! I've never seen him look and feel so dirty! Elizabeth told me that one of the pipes had burst at the dog park earlier that morning.

I asked her if she could please give him a bath before I put him in my car to take him home. She responded "Sorry, no". As soon as I got home and I had to spend an hour trying to wash the filth off our puppies fur, clean out his ears and nails. I texted Elizabeth expressing my disappointment - she venmo'd me $20 for my troubles. I expected much better from Elizabeth. We won't be going back and I do not recommend this pet sitting service.

1. Repeatedly delayed drop-off time. 2. Said that my cat would have her own space, I have reason to believe that was not the case. Made no mention of any other cats on premises. 3. Delayed pickup because she was "off the waitlist for a dinner." 4. Told me I should pick up earlier than planned the next day because she had a zoom therapy session. 5. Didn't return everything I had brought. That's when I was told that she had other cats and apparently intermingles things amongst them. Consequently, I got back a different litter scoop, catnip in a sandwich bag labeled "noon treat", only one of the two scratching boxes I left she said the other one was "destroyed" - interesting in that my cat has used them for many weeks without remotely destroying them, so was my cat so stressed she went crazy on one box - or did the "other cats" get access? I'll never know. Also, cat's brush is missing. 6. Returned litter box empty saying it was standard procedure.

Cat was very loud all the way home and then went under the couch and is just now starting to come out. Didn't feel right about the situation from the outset but had no other options at that point. Will not be repeating the mistake.

My puppy Hailey loves Elizabeth! Elizabeth is very experienced with all training levels of dogs. She knows how to socialize a puppy and she makes Hailey very happy. I feel very safe leaving Hailey with her for dog parks and overnights. She is very flexible with scheduling, drop off, and pick up times. Every time I take Hailey to Elizabeth, she's always very excited to see her.

I know Elizabeth loves Hailey too. She is very patient with my puppy Hailey. She clips her nails and makes sure she's healthy and content. She sends me pictures of Hailey all the time. If you are looking for a pet sitter, Please contact Elizabeth. She is great and I trust her! I asked Elizabeth for help when my job's schedules got changed last year and wasn't able to exercise Hailey in the mornings. Elizabeth takes Hailey to dog parks with other dogs and makes sure dogs are vaccinated.

One time I had a family emergency and had to go to SF, Elizabeth took care of her very well. It really reduced a lot of my stress by knowing that Hailey is with her and is safe. She is very responsive. She also taught me a lot of basics on how to train a dog. Hailey and I both love and trust her.

Elizabeth was awesome with taking care of our cats butterscotch, and honey. Elizabeth was able to watch our kitties while we were away in her home and is absolutely the best sitter we found on Rover. She is very reliable is always on top of things with sending pictures of our kitties and updates. She is such a genuinely wonderful person and is quick with responses and also does boarding on short notice.

She did great with our kitties and we like to use her to watch the cats all the time when we need someone because she is really trustworthy. I would trust her with any of my kitties and she does a great job with making sure they are happy and are having a good time. Our kitties come back happy when we pick them up and I give Elizabeth 10/10 for watching animals.

Elizabeth has been walking my pup for a few months while I was at work. Very responsive and flexible with my schedule, and hasn't missed a day when my dog was at home. Can't ask for anything else! Thank you Elizabeth for taking great care of my Cosmo!

We love Elizabeth! She has such a special way with dogs. Our lab mix, Rosa, loves her! Whenever we pull up to her house for dog-sitting, Rosa jumps out and runs straight to Elizabeth : Elizabeth is also reliable and flexible with pick-ups/drop-offs. We really enjoy working with her to make sure our dog is cared for and gets plenty of exercise.

Elizabeth was fabulous! We needed someone to look after our Sheepadoodle puppy on Mother's Day and she was able to help us out. I was a little nervous dropping our girl off because we had never left her with someone else before, but midway though our day I received pictures showing my happy girl having a good time! I instantly felt relieved and comforted knowing she was in good hands! Elizabeth also made it easy to communicate, as she uses phone, text, and email to coordinate drop offs and pick ups. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!

I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth's pet sitting. My cocker spaniel Buster was in Elizabeth's pet play group twice a week while I was back in Davis for several months during the pandemic. We've used Elizabeth for dog playgroups and dog sitting plus occasional cat care for over a year after being referred by our friends. I was surprised to find anything but positive reviews here. Elizabeth has been completely responsive (we use text messaging) and professional, and our lab Sierra loves her. Working from home I've been here when Elizabeth picks Sierra up while I'm in another room so I can hear their interactions, and Elizabeth is a total sweetheart with her. We're only leaving a review because we're moving and want to support Elizabeth as a local business owner, otherwise we'd have hung on to our best-kept pet sitting secret.

Elizabeth watched my dog Luke for several years while I was in Davis as a college student and post grad. Luke is a very anxious chihuahua that I rescued, and has a very hard time trusting anyone besides me and my family. After Elizabeth watched Luke a few times, Luke totally started trusting her, and loved going to stay with her for either day trips or weekends.

She is also amazing because she is flexible with drops off and pick up times and locations, and that was a huge help for me, being a student and working crazy hours! Elizabeth has always been so accommodating, in addition to loving Luke. I could not recommend her enough!

I live in Oakland, I was recently in DavIs for a vet appointment and had also scheduled a work meeting. I left my 8 month old corgi with ElIzabeth. I had over scheduled and she patiently waited at a convenient pick up location for me. While I rushed off, she send me these darling photos of my boy. I came to pick him up at her home and met a couple of the other doggies. I felt so safe and happy with her! I would use her again and wish I had someone like her closer to home.

Elizabeth has been taking care of our dog when we're away for the last three years. She comes to pick him up, thoughtfully times pickups and drop-offs so that he gets maximum park time, and gives all the dogs under her care a lot of exercise and affection! Our dog even comes home with his nails trimmed when he needs it. We are so glad to have found her, because we know he is going to have a GREAT time while we're away. Elizabeth is the Dog Whisperer: she really knows what she's doing, and as a bonus, she has a real talent for taking amazingly hilarious pictures of happy, attentive pets. Highly recommended.

I have been using Elizabeth for the past 7 years. She had always been available to walk my dog even if it was at the last minute. My dog loved her from the first time she came to meet him. I love how she leaves a little note letting me know how his walk was. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker or sitter.

Elizabeth took such great care of our two boys! I love the option to have in home care so that my two fur babies do not have to go to a cold dark kennel, full of barking dogs. Elizabeth provides top notch service feeding, playing with, and spending time with our dogs. I have hired her on multiple occasions and could not recommend enough!

I, too, had a bad experience with Elizabeth. She was not willing to come over in June to talk about what was needed to care for my pet while I was gone. Her excuse was that she was too busy during weddings and graduation week, that she needed to go the movies to relax. Really?! When you're a business owner, you don't say that or turn clients down to "relax at the movies"!

Previous to that time, she did not take our trash on collection day and we were left with overflowing trash for an additional week. She calls herself a CEO of her business but I would never call her again or recommend her to anyone.

I honestly don't know what i would do without Elizabeth. It's been over a year now since I've left my dog with her for every vacation, and i am continuously impressed. My dog isn't the friendliest chihuahua ever but he happens to LOVE Elizabeth. Usually i am super worried who i leave my dog with while i'm on vacation but Elizabeth is definitely someone you can rely on. I feel so safe when i leave my dog with her. She will send you pictures and also respond super quickly for updates on your dog. All i can say is, she's the best!
