Oaks North Animal Hospital

My dog King has been going there for a little over a year he is 2 years old right now 70 lb German Shepherd. He loves to staff there he gets his shots there the veterinarian took the time to speak with me over the phone over questions that I had the last time I took him for shots. Over the last couple of weeks he has been boarding there as well. The team is extremely polite, friendly, & informative.

The place is very clean, they are efficient and effective. I'm very particular about my dog because he is my family he is my child but when I leave him there I feel happy and comfortable and trust he's in great hands. I highly recommend you bring your pets here. When I was unable to be reached they even reached out to my uncle in Atlanta because I had lost my phone, they went above and beyond doing that and I really appreciate it. I highly recommend this place!

I found a vet clinic for my furbaby! Dr. Richardson and her staff are so friendly and courteous. They have provided great care for my Chancey's needs.

The doctor and staff are wonderful with our two dogs, including the one who is very owner protective and dog reactive. I trust them completely with their care. Update: Oaks North did us a HUGE favor by boarding both our dogs when a family emergency came up and we had to leave town right away. They gladly took them in with very little notice. I can't thank them enough.

I love this vet clinic. They have a friendly cat who greets patients / customers, and their pricing is always very reasonable. Their staff seem to love their jobs.

Took my dog on Wednesday because he was not eating or drinking. Notice that he was having hard time peeing, just trickle, trickle. Urinalysis shows blood in urine and that he has fever. Diagnosis - kidney infection. Gave antibiotics. Friday, noticed that he had chewed/ bit his skin and was very hot. Called vet and told them situation. Took pictuand sent to vet, but did not get response that Friday or Monday.

By Tuesday, I called because he was not getting better, still not eating or drinking and was very hot. By this time I see red spots on his belly and bumps along his back. Took him back to vet, ran another urinalysis and tech asked me if my dog and I walked there because dog was very hot. Told vet that he might be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, but was dismissed.

I had asked if anyone looked at the picture I sent and got a very vague answer. I don't know if they even check his skin, then the vet said she found 1 flea and that she did not think it was the antibiotics causing the havoc. If course, more tests needed to be done Frustrated, I said I want to hold off further tastings and opted for different antibiotics - which vet was not sure if it will work. Wednesday, gave dog 1/2 antibiotics as prescribed and again had bad reaction.

I took dog to another vet, ran tests, x-rays urinalysis and complete exam. WRONG ANTIBIOTICS were prescribed. Nothing wrong with his kidneys or any organ. He had staph infection. Luckily my dog received the CORRECT antibiotic and he is 150% better, eating drinking and back to his old self. They did not even call to check on his status and does not return phone calls.

Critical: Professionalism Do Not bring your pet here if they don't like other cats or dogs, because this place allows some animals to roam freely around the place and this can cause issues. Also, if you bring your pet here, be prepared to be constantly be bombarded with numerous pieces mail, emails, etc.

My puppy had a strong reaction to a bug bite and started to swell up badly during a trip to San Antonio. Luckily a friend recommended Oaks North. I'm used to packed lobbies, nurses that confuse pets, vets that don't even know what the pet came in for. This was the complete opposite. I wish they could be my primary doctor. Nurses and doc were extremely patient and caring.

They treated my puppy with respect and made sure he was comfortable. They asked me many questions to fully understand his illness. The entire visit took 28 minutes. The doc was amazing and made sure to let me know costs before administering. While the medicines were a little bit expensive (out of their control of course) the consultation fee was very reasonable.

They even gave me a new patient discount without me asking. When they brought out my puppy with his tail wagging I couldn't believe it. I'd never seen him so happy at a Vet before. I highly recommend them and will be returning soon for his next check up.

The staff is very kind and courteous, and the vet extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. Five stars.

If your looking for a honest, affordable and an outstanding place to take your fur baby look no further! The staff is super friendly and the Dr. is very very understanding and knowledgeable and keeps up with you and your pet. I took my cat in for a block urethra and this is the second time I have taken him in the first time I took him I made a mistake of taking him to the wrong place where they seem to care more about the cost then the animal he came home to me in almost the same condition he went in for.

I took my cat this time to oak north animal hospital instead and I wish I would have went here the first time my cat became ill, they took care of him quick and followed up with me fast! I picked him up in less time and less cost then I did at the other place and this time he was back to normal was urinating and acting himself as he didn't the first trip to the other place. I'm forever grateful for Oaks North Animal Hospital! I am extremely happy with my overall experience!

I've had dogs all my life and this is BY FAR the best vet I've ever taken my pups to. Dr. Richardson is amazing, staff is amazing, I have nothing bad to say about them! Making appointments is quick and easy and they get your fur babies in as fast as day of or next day. I love this vet and hope to bring my babies here for many more years to come. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr. Richardson took great care of my golden retriever today! Her experience and compassion put Cooper and I at ease today within minutes of meeting her. She gained our trust and we look forward to being her new clients. She is a gem. So glad we found her.
