With gentle hands, loving arms and compassionate hearts. Our family at Bluebonnet Pet Crematory understands the emptiness we all feel when we lose our furry friends. Bluebonnet was founded by Col.(Ret.) Henry H. McKee in 1999. It was his dream to provide a dignified, yet low cost, service for the final disposition of the family pet.
Bluebonnet Pet Crematory is managed by James S. Schaefer & Shawn Dial, Col. McKee's grandsons, and staffed by several family members. At last count, six dogs and eleven cats grace our homes and make our families complete.

We know that these dogs go through immense training and our hearts go out to the 4 legged friends. We refer to them as dogs, but this isn't giving them enough credit, they are a man's best friend and for a police or military specialist they become their partners in day to day operations. Here at Bluebonnet being a part of the choice taken by so many men and women that choose to use us as their providers to have their dogs taken care of in a humane way is really such an honor. We strongly believe that these creatures we call our friends will be there waiting for us in the heavens above.

I called ahead of time to make sure it was okay to bring my sweet girl in for a private cremation. I drove her there after her euthanasia to ensure her cremation would be done in the same day. I really did not want my sweet girl going into the freezer and took extra steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. I called the next day after dropping her off to check on her and see if I was able to come and pick her up.
At that point, after they had assured me the day before that she would be cremated that day, they proceeded to tell me it had not been done. They lied to me about her paw print being done and told me two different stories within about 30 seconds. My sweet girl deserved better than that and I deserved better than that. They were dishonest with me and proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't be done today either.
She would have to wait until Monday. Which means she would be sitting there in the freezer all weekend long. I told them how disappointed I was with the woman I spoke with. who had arranged her same day cremation the day before. I told them had they been honest with me that they couldn't get her done I would have taken her somewhere else. At that point, I called another crematory place who truly felt what I was going through.
They dropped everything and went and picked up my sweet girl and cremated her the same day. I will never recommend Bluebonnet crematorium ever again. I am so disappointed in their customer service and their lack of compassion for animals and for their pet parents. It truly ruined my day. That was my final wish for her and even though I was assured they would do exactly what they said, they fell short and then tried to make excuses.
She had no compassion for what me and my family had been through and no respect for our final wishes for our sweet Carlie. Knowing my concerns and final wishes, they should have let me know the progress and if they were any issues and they didn't. Absolutely sickening.

Good morning, I wanted to personally thank Bluebonnet and the two women in the office from the bottom of my heart for the care they provided to us as well as your generosity. We have never had anyone treat us so well. My future wife and myself where so pleased with your service again and where taken back at your generosity in providing us with a beautiful urn for my long time friend Lady Jane. Words cannot express our gratitude, y'all are the best! We will always come back and refer anyone who needs final services for there family friends! Thank you so much! Jeremy and Myranda
