We took our two male cats, Cinnamon and Sugar, over to Catnip Hill for 5-day stay while we showed our house for sale. The "boys" were nervous going in but the folks at the "hotel" were most kind to them, and we picked them up at the end of our stay and they were in great shape, and happy to see us. I'd definitely recommend Catnip Hill to all cat owners we know, and best for us, the place is located 2.5 miles away from our new place that's under construction currently. We will see you again, Catnip Hill! Thank you!

Recently brought our kitty here while on vacation. Couldn't have asked for a better place! We love that our kitty had her own private "suite", looking out at birds, horses, and other wildlife. We also chose this place because it's a dog-free environment. Staff were extremely nice, and the rates were great. We absolutely recommend Catnip Hill to anyone looking for a great place to board their kitty!

My cat needed to be somewhere as we prepared to sell our house. I took her to Catnip Hill where she spent a month and it was the perfect solution. Christine emailed me a photo of my cat so I could see her settled in. I was able to leave her stay open ended, as we weren't sure how long the home-selling process would take. It was such a relief to have her in a safe place and cared for so well. I would definitely recommend.

We have never boarded our 7 yr old cat before, always had friends or family take care of her while we were away. This time we needed to board her and did a lot of research and settled on Catnip Hill. We were immediately impressed with the facility as well as Christine. This woman knows cats! Ellie did fine and was obviously well taken care of. Will definitely use Catnip Hill again.

Expensive, my cats feared the caretaker, i've never seen them cower, but they did when she came near them! (it made me very uneasy )this woman was a complete control freak, however, I would recommend the place!but just drop off your cats (if you have the money )and leave -don't socialize, there's no need for that.

Very happy with our experience here, will definitely come again in the future. Both of our cats needed scheduled meds while staying and it was no problem at all. I was very impressed with the rooms, they all had a window and several perches of various heights. I felt very comfortable leaving my cats in the care of Christine, she had a very calm demeanor even though our one cat was very tense and hissing when we initially dropped them off.
By the time we were back from our trip both cats seemed very comfortable and relaxed. I was really impressed with how nice this place was. I wouldn't board my cats anywhere else!

By far the best cat boarding in the Madison area. We have visited many places and none compare with the service, care, and price at Catnip Hill. Every cat has their own room with shelves and a window. When we return to pick up our cat he was brushed and had plenty of water and food. The only problem with Catnip Hill is that there is limited availability because there are only a few rooms for the cats.
But this also means that your cat will get plenty of attention from the friendly staff. As for the price, they are average compared with others in the area. But the service you receive without paying extra is unmatched (others will charge for extra play time, brushing, etc.). I would easily recommend Catnip Hill to anyone looking to board their cat.

We've continued to send our cat to Christine at Catnip Hill 1-2x per year, generally for up to two weeks. Knowing that Christine takes excellent care of ensuring that he's well-fed (even with a special diet), clean, and receives regular attention is a big part of my peace of mind in going on vacation. The quality of her care would be a steal at twice the price.

Catnip Hill is beautiful place out in the country near Deerfield. We left our cat for seven nights while we went on vacation last week and I don't think he really wanted to come home! He had his own little room with an open window that looked out at a shaded garden and a horse pasture beyond. The facility is spotless and the owner, Christine, is very kind and professional. Catnip Hill is pricier than other places, but it is nothing, absolutely nothing like a kennel. Just gorgeous and perfect for our cat.

We moved into town (and away from all our former pet sitters) and were at a loss for what to do when we wanted to go on vacation. Our vet recommended Catnip Hill and we've never looked back. If I could give ten stars I would. Clearly, this place was designed by a cat lover and Christine is a wonderful caretaker. We can always tell that our cat Dusty got lots of attention and was well looked after.
There are even cages of hamsters for the cats to look at! There are no barking dogs and each cat gets their own room (or cats from the same household can share a room) about the size of a walk in closet, with lots of shelves and a chair and it's own window. This place is above and beyond wonderful. I never have hesitation leaving Dusty here, except that I will miss her. :) Christine takes great care to make sure feeding regimen, meds and love are all given.
We always joke that our cat thinks that we're coming there to move in when we pick her up because she loves it so much. Getting her back in the carrier at the vet is easy, but at Catnip Hill its always "what the hell? You're taking me away from HERE? This place rules!" I couldn't agree more.
