I scheduled an appt. to use their dog self service wash. I was there on time but nobody to check me in. I tried to get their attention through the play yard window but both attendants were focused on their phones. The groomer alerted them and one came in, no mask although Dane county has a required mask mandate. She indicated that her boss didn't require masking when greeting a customer. She was nice, but seemed unconcerned.

Fantastic doggy daycare. They take such good care of the pups in their care and my dog loves going. The process to get approved was very easy and quick. I love that they take such great care to make sure the dogs joining their daycare are well-behaved. I don't have to worry about my dog's safety when I leave her in their care for the day.

We took our 11 month old large breed dog there briefly. They started out saying she was really sweet and great, then after the 3rd time there they said she was no longer a good fit due to an interaction with a smaller dog they had included in her play group. Our dog has been in daycare since she was a small puppy and we have always made a point to make sure she is extremely socialized with all kinds and sizes of dogs and people - mostly due to people's misconception about her breed.
She has never had an issue in previous daycares. This daycare only separates dogs by play style and not size. Beware if you plan on taking your large breed dog there cause they will likely make it seem like your dog is the issue vs them not knowing how to appropriately group dogs for playing and monitor them. Would not recommend this place!

Andrea the manager is the best my dog Bow loves the day care so much ( she tells me ) haha, she sleeps right away after the long day. The hours are so great for us working parents. I can't tell you enough how many times they have saved my butt. Also the pictures they post on Facebook are wonderful. Love seeing the holiday dress up pictures as well!

We too had our puppy go to puppy play. Staff would take care of things when you asked them. Owners of puppies really did the work watching puppies and cleaning up after them. I admit that I loved watching the puppies play but there should have been a least 1 staff person on duty with the puppies for the 1 hour and 30mins. When our dog grew out of puppy.
We had to wait to get her spayed to start hound huddle. We did the pre interview stuff we were interrupted 5 times or became more anxious, barking more and more. The person we made our appointment with said "she seems anxious " When you make an appointment with someone you should have their complete attention. But in hopes of having a place for her to play and a place for our puppy to stay for our Doc. appointment I didn't say anything negative.
We also picked her up one day with a muzzle on her for barking because of the way she drank on the way home she had that on for a long time. And we set up a short stay for a doc appointment with 1 staff person on a Wednesday and another staff person called on Sunday to cancel my appointment was Monday! They need to change the day care to (SLEEP AND OLD DOGS ) HOUNDS BARKING WHO KNEW!

Very surprised by recent negative reviews. My (young, active) golden has gone to daycare at Hound Huddle for the past year and a half. Going by her behavior (tail wagging furiously, bouncing up to the door) she has a grand time. I like the fact that staff are careful about which dogs attend--not all dogs enjoy doggy daycare, not all dogs do well in a more open setting daycare.
A friend's dog recently "failed" the initial evaluation: after a trial period the dog seemed unhappy and a little overwhelmed. Staff at Hound Huddle suggested a different daycare facility that divided dogs into smaller groups, and my friend's dog seems much happier in this smaller setting. Kudos to Hound Huddle for trying to ensure a good fit! I am quite sure Hound Huddle has never used a muzzle to prevent barking (I observed, also asked them directly).
They may have used a gentle leader--this is not a muzzle!--to help reduce anxiety; a gentle leader includes a narrow strap around a dog's snout, it does not in any way limit drinking, panting, or barking. except to reduce barking that may be linked to anxiety. Gentle leaders are widely used by trainers and experienced owners.

Our 2.5 year old lab/hound has been going to HH since he was little and we have never had a bad experience. Instead of sitting at home while I work part time he gets to run around and play with other dogs while supervised. What's wrong with that? The staff at HH is friendly and loves my pup. I am shocked by some of the other reviews and can say with certainty that has not been our experience.

Preface: My puppy went to puppy play at this location and it was a perfectly clean facility and the staff was nice enough. Fast forward 8 months. I work out an afternoon to come down and have him evaluated for day care. Multiple reschedules (my fault, not theirs). We show up, get to the second question and I tell her that he has growled at the water bowl 3 or 4 times with other dogs.
She said sorry try a smaller day care we can't watch your dog all day we have 40+ dogs here. Wait, isn't that the point of daycare - to watch my dog? This could have been handled over the phone. Leaving one star for business process of qualifying dogs. I'm sure they do a great job with the 40+ dogs. TLDR; Bad qualification process, wasted my entire afternoon and broke my pups heart.

I am very unhappy with the service we received at the hound huddle, we have a puppy and we were told that she has too much energy and we shouldn't bring her anymore. I think that is very unprofessional and rude. You run a doggy daycare, you should be able to take puppies who have a lot of energy. I will not go back
