Love going here. Dr Jacobson is the go to vet for the area. Highly recommended.

We have been through a lot of gets over the years and this is the best one. They are super honest and friendly. I never feel like I am getting gouged.

The only vet ill ever bring my animals to, they are so good at their jobs and no matter what vet i see they are so knowlegable and willing to do whatever they can- i used to live closer, but i happily drive 40 mins to get there knowing my animals are getting the best care

Great care of my Cavaliers by both Doctor and the sweet vet tech. Bonus is that they support breeders. Very happy

I have been a client of Monticello Pet Hospital for over 20 years and before that my parents were when i was growing up. I absolutely love everything about them. They truly care about your pets. They have friendly staff. Anytime i have needed to get in the same day for an emergency i am able to as long as i call right away in the morning as they save a few appts daily for emergencies.

I have tried other vets and i always end up disappointed and back at Monticello. They have the best Doctors. I always know my pets are in good hands when i go there. Dr Jacobson has had to perform an emergency bladder surgery on my cat and he did a wonderful job and kept me updated throughout the day. Cant say enough good things about them.

I had my sweet kitty put to sleep. They are very Accomidating and very compassionate even during a hard time.

They are amazing! Caring, compassionate, answers all your questions and addresses all your concerns. Highly recommend.

Although the outcome was sad, they were very compassionate and relayed information wonderfully. We had to stay a little past closing, but we did not feel rushed at all. They allowed us the time we needed.

During a very emotionally sad time, Monticello Pet Hospital was very compassionate and didn't rush me thru the process. The cost for their services that day were reasonable.

I always bring my cats, Joni (white domestic short-haired) and Jonie ( orange tabby) to the Monticello Pet hospital for their health needs and vaccines. The staff are all very nice, friendly and accommodating.

Super expensive. The vet couldn't even tell me if I needed to register my dogs with the city, she didn't know . They should know that information. Chewing on a couch, she recommended a basket muzzle. I got my vaccine records and apparently they only add a vaccine onto the official record if the series is complete. That's a little shady, since I needed the full medical record to give to my new vet to finish the series.

Absolutely do not recommend. After calling a million places to find a humane euthanasia for a pet, we were told to try monti. The person we spoke with explained to call in at 730 am and that they would fit him in at some point during the day (neglecting to tell us it was based on cancellation or that there was only one vet and he was double booked. all day).

Call this morning promptly, they can't get him in. Was told 'Sorry I didn't hear what they were saying', well I had two others involved in the phone call to verify what was said and it wasn't. While I understand and respect how busy everything is right now, make sure you are giving accurate info. I was also told, 'with all due respect, .

EDIT: I had a really long story here about my experience at Monticello Pet Hospital but have taken it down because I received an apology. If you decide to bring your sick pet here, be sure to ask what the severity of the situation is before beginning any treatment. Ask that everything be clarified before making a decision. If your pet is extremely. sick, please bring them to the ER.

Understand that if you are told that you have an option to bring your extremely ill pet home with drugs, that means they are asking if you want your pet to die in the comfort of your own home because this won't be explained to you. I recommend this place as a general pet health clinic. Perfect for check ups. They seem to really care about pets and seem especially passionate about taking care of pets in the community.

I've been to multiple veterinarians and emergency vets in the past, but Monticello Pet Hospital has been consistently one of the best. They are willing to work with your individual needs, have an experienced staff, and I feel they genuinely care about their clients!

We were so impressed with this place! The people were so kind and although we only took Alix, our rescue puppy in to be spayed, they pulled 4 baby teeth and cut her nails without charging us! Thank you to the staff for all you did yesterday for Alix!

My family has had the best experience with Monticello Pet Hospital! I was told by another vet that my older dog was unable to have a dental because of his heart murmur. After a few visits, phone calls, & tests they were able to safely do surgery on my dog. The doctors, techs, and everyone went above & beyond to keep my little guy safe while he was under anesthesia and we are forever grateful! Thank you!

My 4 legged best friend, Katara was laid down. A huge shout out to Monticello-Big Lake Veternary Hospital in Monticello. I and Katara were treated with so much kindness and compassion. The doctor and. techs were so comforting before and after procedure. They listened to all my stories of Katara's antics and loving ways. Assured me it was the right decision due to her symptoms most likely cancer in gut, diabetes and at this point no pain.

Not rushed at all. I was allowed to be with her and hold her on my lap on a special soft dog bed they put on the floor. They gave me time to say my final goodbyes allowing me opportunity to tell her what a good baby she was. After, I had private time to grieve my lost before leaving. I had called at least 6 clinics but none would let me be with her. I could and would not turn her over to strangers. This wonderful clinic gets a A+.

They have been caring for our pets since 2005. In thick and thin, they have always provided the best care ever!

Absolutely great experience! They squeezed us in on Christmas Eve and we never felt rushed or pressured to get all the recommended testing done. Highly recommend them!

I brought my dog in to have his ears taken care of that another vet failed to do. they wanted to start a medication regimen they couldn't tell me exactly what was wrong with the dog but they wanted to charge me more money and not be done and prolong this problem instead of trying to fix it right away like the other vet should have they are a money-grubbing vents anywhere else is a better bet than these people unless you're rich

They took great care of my pet when he got a nasty infection on his face. Great staff and great vet. I'm very grateful for fixing my cat back to his normal way.

Professional, compassionate, respectful, and high quality care. My pugs have had major health issues, and Dr Wilcox, Dr Patton, and Dr Jacobson have been absolutely first-rate. I trust them completely. The only problem I have ever had was when one of my boys was cremated. I received a lovely box with his ashes, but NO paw print. It broke my heart, especially after I specifically asked if I would receive a paw print and was assured that I would. Seems so small, but it was very difficult. This was NOT the fault of the doctors, though.and I continue to bring my dog to Monticello Pet Hospital because of the high quality of care.
