Alabama Canine

Alabama Canine is a fantastic facility! I was so worried to send Ben and Chase away for the board and training. They talked with me several times about my needs for the boys and adapted the training for us. I even took the dog's ramp to them to train the boys on using it to get in the car. They accomplished all I asked for and much more. When I came home, I had a few question, they talked me through everything. I am SOOOOOO thankful for Alabama Canine. Our home now is so manageable. We will forever be grateful to Alabama Canine and the Farley family!

Alabama Canine is amazing. Our dog Sparkie is full of love and energy, and the trainers matched her personality to make Sparkie feel at home. The trainers did everything we asked for when bringing Sparkie for her training. Each week they work with us and Sparkie to make sure we could continue her training after she was done there. We can see a major differences in Sparkie's obedience without any loss in her love and energy! We have gotten multiple compliments on how well she is trained and less hesitant around new people. Highly recommend Alabama Canine!

The best boarding facility on the planet! They are awesome! Everyone we met who works at Alabama K9 was friendly and went above and beyond to provide excellent care. Due to the fact that we were in the process of moving our dog was highly stressed when we dropped him off. The care takers kept a close eye on him, checked his weight daily, encouraged him to eat (our dog doesn't like to eat when he's stressed) and they even sent us a picture of him midweek to let us know how he was doing.

They walked him and even did some training throughout his one week stay. By the time we picked him up he was doing great. The caretakers really know what they are doing. Ricky Farley personally oversees everything and runs an incredible operation. We highly recommend this facility.

I would highly recommend doing Alabama K9s board and train program! My standard poodle Willow went there and they were absolutely amazing. Their facilities are amazing and they go above and beyond to make sure your pet is not only being trained, but being loved on as well. Willow had problems jumping on people and was very stubborn. She also pulled very hard on her leash anytime she went on a walk. Now she listens to commands and heels when we goes on walk. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I brought home my new German Shepard two days ago from Alabama Canine. He is AWESOME and unbelievably well trained! I haven't had a dog in over 20 years.and I was nervous.puppies are cute but I knew I needed a dog with a strong foundation in obedience; I wouldn't be very good at housebreaking, keeping off of furniture, chewing, running away with the leash -- and all of those "cute" things that puppies do.

After literally years of talking about it, I took a chance and trusted the judgment and skill of Emily Richardson at Alabama Canine. She suggested a puppy with just the right temperament, and then that puppy stayed with her for board and train for a few months. My cuz and I picked him up last Sunday, and then started the 4 day, almost 1800 mile drive home to Las Vegas.

He was PERFECT! He spent all day in SUV in his crate, entertaining himself better than most adults on such a long drive. No whining, no barking, no accidents, nothing. He had his deer antler and his squeaky toy.and he really was perfect. Each night at the hotel he always let us know he had to go outside to do his biz. Even though he is still a puppy, and everyday was something new with brand new people, he was always happy and loving -- he LOVES people!

We got home two days ago, and he has settled in as if he's lived in Vegas his whole life :-). I asked Emily to train him for the pool in addition to his obedience training.and he is swimming laps! We all have so much fun just watching him chase his ball in the water. But most importantly. Emily spent the time on pick-up day going thru his training with me, wrote down all I needed to know about transferring his training to me, and off we went.

Now that we are home, we practice his training every day, and he is so much better behaved than I ever hoped for. Took to his doggie door immediately for the outside biz. Finally, I want to say that Emily texted (is that a word?) me pictures, updates and little videos of his training almost every day -- and it really may have been every single day. I'm so grateful to her and Alabama Canine for my beautiful well-behaved puppy. Sally Miller

I've received my first working dog from Alabama Canine/ Ricky Farley in 2004 and he was phenomenal. My second dog came from there in 2010 and again, an exceptional working dog. Alabama Canine is a Super facility and in my opinion, you'd be hard pressed to find better instruction and training more thorough anywhere else in the U.S.!

I have been doing business with Alabama Canine since 2014. My class was told that if we didn't care about the dogs, all of them, we needed to pack up and go home. Ricky Farley is the most knowledgeable and caring person I have ever met when it comes to dogs, and their owners. His life, and his families livelihood, is hinged upon breeding, training, and caring for some of the best dogs in the world. Ricky, and all of his staff, work harder than most people will ever know to provide quality dogs for law enforcement and individuals. Ricky Farley would never neglect, mistreat, or allow a dog to be mistreated. I have always, and will always, stand behind and recommend Alabama Canine to all my friends and family wanting the best for their dogs, and their families.

Excellent GSDs! We searched for our all black German Shepherd Male we talked several times they got to know us and exactly what temperament dog we needed. Every dog from this kennel they are nicer than the next. Whatever your needs/wants if it's for sports or pet they interviewed me to make the perfect fit

I have handled 2 dogs from Alabama K9 and Ricky Farley. I have know Ricky for almost a decade and can say without hesitation that he and his staff are honest upstanding people. I've learned a lot from Ricky and his staff. I can also testify to the fact that all dogs that are being housed under his care are well taken care of. Ricky is very honest and straight forward in anything he does.

The facility in my opinion is hands down #1 in the US for training police dogs that are highly successful on the street. I would recommend his services to anyone who needs any type of dog training.

Since 2010 I have known and done business with Ricky Farley/ Alabama Canine. I've had had the great experience of attending both a dual purpose handler school, and instructor school. During that time I personally witnessed the passion that Ricky and his staff have for training and caring for every single dog at his establishment. Ricky and his staff are a wealth of knowledge and I am honored that I was able to attend and gain some of their knowledge. This is Ezzy Adnaf, Ricky and Alabama K9 worked tirelessly to find her for me. She's an extremely amazing female. Not only did they work tirelessly they went above and beyond to ensure this was the dog for me! The first dog Ricky didn't like he didn't even hesitate to call and say "ma'am I don't like the dog it's not for you I'll get you better". And he did!

Not only did he do that, he also made sure she was taken care of while I was away for 2 weeks! She came in from Europe, he took her to his facility as made her feel at home. Made sure she was fully healthy and happy and stable. Everything I needed for my future breeding program and family. He's never been more than a phone call away, and doesn't miss a beat.

My next dog will come from Ricky. And probably more and more after that. I've seen his facility, kennels, puppies, and watched training. He's truly too notch and always puts the care of his and your animals first. Thank you for Ezzy! She's to date the best mommy dog I've ever had! I've said it Many times to many people!
