Services
A One-on-One personalized session. You choose the skill/s you would like to work on, and I will demonstrate the process with your dog, and then coach you. This way you can take your new skills and practice away! Whether you want to learn something new, start modifying a behavior, learn a new skill, and / or better management techniques, this is a great way to focus on what is important to your household.
We are drawn to run down and forgotten properties, like a moth to a flame. Perhaps the artists palette? Maybe we are project people? But I like to think the land was calling for us, to come and bring her beauty and goodness out once again. We have been biodynamic gardening since 1997 and so far we can produce enough food for our family, pasture animals, and raw fed dogs about 8-9 months out of the year, chemical free. This all starts with learning about the soil as a living being and knowing how important sweat equity is!

My experience has put me off re homing a dog(this and a few other shelters do the same stuff, Lack of good communication) The stress and fuss you've to go through just to get a reply, Very Facebook orientated. Not everyone uses social media. Called a lot and no answer. Asked for an appointment to come down and see what dogs there was and was basically fobbed off. Shelters cry out for dogs to be rehomed yet there is such a big issue trying to even see or apply for a dog. Unless you're on some sort of social media and can get a hold of someone.

Contacted the rescue back in March about adopting a dog, heard back from them nearly straight away telling us that unfortunately the dog we had applied for had been reserved which was understandable because it was a very popular dog and we weren't the first to apply for it, after that we applied to adopt another couple of dogs but never got any replies.
A couple of months later we seen 3 of the dogs we had previously applied for up again saying they had "not one application" which was rubbish because we have applied numerous times and just been plainly ignored. Just recently we seen a dog on the page that we knew was perfect for us and would fit right in so despite being let down previously we applied as the dog had only been posted the day prior, and we had very high hopes and thought after waiting for so long we would finally get to at least try to rehome a dog.
A week later we get the same reply that we've got every time we apply for a dog from this place. We rang to double check that the dog was definitely reserved and spoke on the phone with a woman who told us that someone who had previously rehomed from them was taking the dog and we thought was rude and the way the lady on the phone was speaking she sounded like she just wanted us to hang up as quickly as possible quite frankly. So we will not be attempting to rehome a dog from here again, or from any rescue for that matter

Have adopted 2 dogs from Paws and People and have recommended them to many others who have had equally good experiences. They know the dogs, take time to match them to the right people, and are possibly the most responsive rescue when it comes to getting back to enquiries. Wouldn't have our two without them so thank you for all your hard work :

We adopted last week from paws and people Very efficient making sure the dog has a good forever home. Both ladies is very easy to talk too and very friendly. Wasn't for these two lovely people my wee family wouldn't have our lovely Diva. Both ladies really do a good job caring for these animals. Highly recommended.

We adopted our Greyhound Flash from Paws and People in January 2020. The ladies running this charity do amazing work and look after the animals in their care so well. They're also great for advice after you've adopted from them. It's reassuring to know they're just a phone call away. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I adopted my little lurcher from paws and people and I have not stopped recommending them to my friends since. They are such a caring charity who truly love animals and have their best interests at heart. My Nancy had the best start in life after being raised by paws and people for the first few months of her life. Please consider paws and people if you are looking for a furry companion.
