We would like to let you know we are still OPEN for Daycare, Grooming and Boarding. Currently we have not changed our hours, so you can drop off and pick up at the usual times. All dogs will be dropped outside where a kennel tech will take your pet and put them into Daycare or Boarding. One person at a time will be allowed in the office. We clean and sanitize the office every morning and clean and sanitize the credit card machine after each use. Be assured that we are taking every precaution to keep you and our staff safe and healthy.
Services
You will drop off your pet and he/she will be introduced to the group of dogs that are currently staying at the kennel. They are always introduced one dog at a time starting with my Golden Retriever Maggie. After all introductions have been made, your dog is than invited outdoors where he/she is observed interacting with a group of dogs in a supervised setting.
At Four Paws Dog Day Camp and Kennel, located in Hernando County, we know that dogs crave companionship and benefit from playing, eating and sleeping together. Socialization and exercising together are important during their day. We divide dogs into play groups based on their size, temperament, and energy level, so they can have the best possible experience while in our care.
At Four Paws Dog Day Camp and Kennel, we try to strike a balance between convenience for our two-legged clients and the least amount of stress for our four-legged guests. Because of this we have instituted the following drop off and pick up hours. All boarding reservations during Holiday periods will require a minimum of 5 business days notice for cancellation or to change arrival and departure times.

Ok. I have been taking my dog to this kennel for the past 3 years. I had my husband pick up our Beagle after I paid for it via phone and was informed in a very condescending way that I was going to pay a 3.3 or 3.8 percent fee because I used my credit card. Ok? Then my husband came to pick up our dog and because we came in the afternoon she charged him another day.
I personally, would have picked up my dog on Tuesday but I had to pay an extra day because they can't be open on a Tuesday! Really? Second of all, in case you were wondering my dog contracted kennel cough from your kennel in December and i got to pay a $200 fee at the all animal emergency because it was Christmas. Please, is this under new management because the individual working there today was the most unprofessional, bitter worker I have come across here! NEVER, NEVER BRINGING MY PET BACK AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO TELL ANYONE I CAN TO NEVER BRING THEIR PET TO THIS KENNEL!

We have been using Four Paws for years and always had great care. We have brought 3 of our dogs over the years. One of our girls went to daycare a few days a week for at least two years.maybe longer! The owner really cared about our babies and our Daisy loved going to school to see her friends! She's our go to whenever we have dog related problems. The price is also really fair which is a bonus!

Most definitely the absolute best choice I've ever made for my pup, Elsie! She literally drags me to the employee when I drop her off for daycare in the morning and is always tired from a fun day of playing when I pick her up. They also usually give me a quick rundown of her day which helps me feel like I didn't completely miss out. Since I work full time, my pup has gone to their daycare for 4 days a week the last few months (I waited until she was 6 months to start taking her, otherwise we would have started sooner!) I've seen such an improvement with her behaviors at home and her socialization with other dogs is amazing!
I've also had to board her two times due to home renovation projects. She always comes back clean, happy, and with her stuff clearly taken care of. The employees are great and clearly love dogs and their jobs! I'm so glad I found a place that I can trust to take care of my baby girl while still being very affordable

Four Paws is an excellent pet kennel and resort I recommend it and here is why. Shelia the owner and Christine the front desk representative along with all the help are always excellent with my two Golden Retrievers. I have been using Four Paws since they open more than 10 years ago. Both my dogs are old and we have had to put one to sleep recently at 15.5 due to illness.
Please realize that dogs get sick, they can not tell us what is wrong, we may not even notice and you cannot blame a kennel you leave them at which takes excellent care of the dogs for a dog's death. Do you think it is easy for them to watch a dog die on their watch? Pets, people, and all living things die every moment of everyday and instead of being filled with angry for them being gone spend you time feeling grateful you had those dogs and people in your life as long as you did.

Brought my 2 year old lab here for day care. She is very gentle, passive and gets along well with large and small breeds. Next morning I noticed a cut on her front leg. I was not there so I can't say it happened at the facility. The facility is clean and does not smell. The one thing I noticed was the lack of supervision in the common play areas. For these reasons I can not recommend Four Paws.
