We are a dog friendly store, feel free to bring your well-behaved dogs and cats with you. We do ask that your dog be on a lead and under your control at all times as well as your cat in a carrier when entering and in the store. We will match any store price upon presentation of a receipt or current printed advertised price for dog or cat food brands that we carry. This policy pertains to "Brick & Mortar" stores ONLY in Northeast Ohio and is not honored for "online" merchants.

It is our belief that before suggesting any given food or group of foods as much information regarding the dog or cat as possible should be gathered and considered. A Dog's Life will never promote any given food but we endeavor to understand your dog's needs, maintain great care in the products and brands we offer and make educated suggestions of food and supplement choices in the best interest of your dog or cat.

It wasn't until we moved out to Chesterland that we found out about A Dog's Life. A local store that is run by people (Jennifer and her daughter Lauren) who care about you and your pets. Always an enjoyable experience to walk in and know they care about helping you. And they don't carry products just to have them- Healthy options.

Jennifer and her daughter are always a pleasure and super helpful. I could not be happier that I finally found a pet store in Cleveland that offers proper dog food. Have a special request? They will order it. Need some guidance? Jen will take her time with you. Never rushed. Oh, and they have customer appreciation events! It's not just pricing. No, it's games, raffles, gift baskets. They truly care about their customers. Definitely my place for all my dog food needs.

Great variety of pet foods and products. Knowledgeable on best food options for your furry family member. Some say the prices are high but I rather support a local business then the money hungry pet supply chains. The staff may have their own opinions but you have to do what is best for your family and fur baby.

I love independent businesses, and this one is no exception. Terrific inventory and lots of choices not available at big chain stores like Petsmart. I think of A Dog's Life as an expanded version of Per People. I would say their prices are on par with Pet People. Friendly women work there. And they will give you a bag of treats to give your dog.

Good selection - a litte overpriced. The folks that work there, especially the women are clearly not interested in being friendly. They are aloof, brief and rushed for no reason. I've been going there for years and last week when I made a rather expensive purchase as usual, the gal was chit chatting to someone else while I waited to check out.
She then yelled to a new young girl - Hey - can you ring her up? Seriously - no hello, thank you for shopping with us, how's FiFi today? If I didn't have to drive across town to get the food my dog prefers, I wouldn't subject myself to this unecessary indifference. I guess it really is a dog's life.

The staff at A Dog's life is the best. Anytime I had a request or question they were able to answer it. The advice and assistance they provided was a huge help with my dog. I would never go anywhere else. The service is second to none. I can not thank the staff enough for all they do for pets and their owners. Also a local family owned business.

This place is REALLY the best! There is a pet shop that is walking distance from my house. Instead of going there, I drive out of my way, passing yet another pet store on my way to A Dog's Life. This is one of those rare, undiscovered gems of the Cleveland area. I have 4 dogs and will ALWAYS shop here! Thank you for such a wonderful store!
