Happens at about every place and not a huge deal. Dropped our dogs off, gave them filled bones to keep the dogs occupied. Of course we come get them and get handed the bones and they were never given to them. Probably won't be back, we will keep searching for the right place for them to stay since they can't follow simple directions.

I came in for a grooming appointment in the morning and wasn't able to pick up late in the day. The receptionist seemed very unprofessional very scattered like she didn't know what she was doing, on top of that the groomer cut my dogs length too short is very overpriced, and seemed very moody. I highly recommend not to come here for grooming!

We have been a customer of Happy Tails and Hill Top pet clinic for almost 3 years now. We have always loved taking both our dogs here and never had a complaint in the past. Unfortunately, it looks like they hired some new employees and needless to say, we are more than likely looking to take our dogs elsewhere now. This last weekend we boarded our dogs for 4 nights as we would be out of town, something we have done a number of times before. we have always fed our dogs twice a day, this has not changed and we do not plan to change this.
We always provide our own dog food as we are picky about what they eat. We asked they bathe and groom them both as well as shave our mini Aussie ( please note Walt does an amazing job and this complaint has nothing to do with the grooming of our pups). We also authorized the 2-3 shots that were needed. When we arrived Monday to pick our dogs up, their food bag was completely full.
We asked what our dogs were fed all weekend and the employees response was, "I don't know." That is the worst response anyone that just watched our dogs for 4 days could have said. What do you mean you don't know what they were fed for 4 days? Then, our bill was double the amount we typically pay. This is absolutely ridiculous. Lastly, we were not allowed to do a split payment, so we went ahead and paid the entire bill not even knowing what we were fully being charged because the front desk lady was rude and would not answer any questions besides, "you must pay your entire bill today." After hearing this I immediately called the hill top pet clinic to get some answers.
I was able to speak to Susan who was very nice and helpful throughout the process but she also wasnt able to answer any questions nor provide any comfort in the fact that their company had no idea what my dogs ate all weekend or the type of care they got all weekend. All they could provide me with was, "im sorry, " "we have hired a couple people and they are still new." Personally, that is no excuse to not giving my dogs the type of care they deserve.

We took our dog to happy trails for the doggy daycare for one day and we will never be back. I called a week in advance and the lady talked about how interactive the daycare was and she ensured us our dog would "leave worn out", so we decided to try it out! The morning I dropped our dog off I gave the lady at the front a bag of food that he was to be fed at 12:00PM, and she assured me he would get fed and allowed lots of play time.
When my boyfriend picked our dog up that evening, we were shocked to find out that the faculty had FORGOTTEN to feed our dog and from his behavior I would say he had not been let out of the kennel all day, and possibly even without water from the thirst he had the rest of the night. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had my cat here for a prolonged period of time while we went through the process of moving her to our new home internationally. I spent thousands of dollars. I am sure I was their biggest customer last year. Once we had relocated and were working to move our baby over management refused to work with me, refused to speak with me and did not keep proper files.
They were unresponsive throughout the process and treated me terribly. The staff here are incredible and they truly loved our baby and looked after her. The management unfortunately are horrific and deceitful.

We absolutely LOVE Happy Tails! My dog gets so excited when I tell him he's going to daycare! We pull up the drive and he starts whining to go play. The staff is SO friendly and he always comes home tired and happy. It's so nice seeing him becoming so comfortable with the employees, they really do treat him so well!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't put your pet here. I called them twice to check on my German shepherd as it was his first time being at a border. The first time, the lady hung up on me and seemed rushed. The last two times, she couldn't check on him because she didn't know who had him? But she said she'd call back in ten mins.
Three hours later, nothing. I called again and she said "I'm very busy but can call you back." Still nothing. We get to pick him up the next day and he's terrified, shaking, and cowered in his kennel with no water. In addition, the "lady",i f you can call her that, at the desk was just plain stupid. I asked her about why I never got called back but she couldn't tell me anything but lies like "we tried to call you." No, they didn't.
I confirmed my number with a person earlier and so I know they had it. They also didn't try calling my bf either. and they also had his number. She told me he was in his kennel the whole time except to go out to pee. He never interacted with other dogs or got a chance to play. They were neglectful, rude, lazy. whatever it was. Not sure what happened because this place came highly recommended but I'm never taking my dog back here again and I made my anger very clear while I was there as well. This is someone's dog, their life and basically their child and you call yourself professionals? Absolutely pathetic and ridiculous.

Took my two dogs (6 year old beagle and 1 year old morkie) for grooming because they were willing to hold them all day for me. I asked they have the vet look at an eye growth on my beagle and they said they needed their bordetella shots updated as they require it every 6 months (which I said was fine). When I picked up my dogs that afternoon, I was given a bill for $180.
They told me my dogs needed more than bordetella to be up-to-date which included de-worming both and a shot called corona. I was also charged over $20 for the vet to examine my beagle's eye (he did no treatment). The vet told me her growth needed to be removed immediately as it was bothering her eye (even though she has had no signs of it bothering her, i.e. scratching) and that she was in serious need of a dental.
I wasn't prepared to spend another $150-$200 on these procedures so I told him to wait and I took her to our regular vet the next day. They reviewed and told me the corona shots and deworming was completely unnecessary! Also, that my beagle's growth was NOT bothering her and they recommended just monitoring it, as it would probably just grow back bigger if removed (NOTE: since then, her eye growth as significantly shrunk. yay!) and that her teeth didn't need a dental immediately.
They thought within the next year but she looked great for a 6 year old dog. Also, my dogs are kennel trained so they will not potty in their kennels as well as house-trained. My dogs couldn't even wait to get out of their lobby because they had to go so bad! This made me assume that they did NOT let them outside at all throughout the day. the staff was very friendly but i will not go back and do not recommend to anyone!
