The Murdoch's story is one of humble beginnings. It is a story about a man, a belief, and the understanding that value is often found in honest, old-fashioned ideas. John Murdoch had been in the ranch and home supply business for some 36 years. He figured there had to be a way to introduce all the good and useful stuff from that tradition to everyday folks like you and me while still maintaining the interest of ranchers. He also figured that if you did the basics right, even when building a retail store, it would succeed.

Dean was alright, he helped me out with getting some Dewalt tools. He honored the 30% discount I would have gotten during the DeWalt sale. However, the cashier, Kere, gave me unnecessary attitude when I asked for assistance. She also treated me as though I was a criminal, asking to check my ID along with my credit card to ensure it was not stolen.
The total was less than 300$. I have never been asked to show my ID before when checking out at any store before, even when spending 1000$ plus of my hard earned money. I'm not one to claim prejudice but honestly felt as if I was not wanted in the store, especially by said cashier. I will not be going back again.

The girl that works in the loading area in the back of the store damaged the side of my truck bed. I was told by the manager they would review security footage to then find out weeks later they do not have cameras back there. So the companies insurance refused to pay for my damage because the girl denies what she did. To many liars these days along with horrible companies.

01.22.22 Went in to make a large purchase for my ranch, they have "must wear a mask" signs posted on the front doors but customers are ignoring this even though we are in the middle of a pandemic. Employees were wearing masks but there were employees in 3 different departments that were not wearing masks. I got out of there as soon as I could and I'll head to Jax to make my purchase.

Since we were in the area we thought of checking out the sales at Murdoch's. Each time I go in they change the layout. Some times the sales racks are in the back and sometimes in the front of the store. I've been wanting to purchase one of those tactical flashlights and saw them last time. They have a variety of flashlights and camp gear.
What peaked my interest was this compass/ whistle because well you never know. I'm not Lewis and Clark so. There were variety of long sleeve and short sleeve clothes, pajamas and boots. I saw some previous pictures of Ariat boots I got my eyes on. Gonna wait for sales to go back but for now three stars.

We purchased a chainsaw from Murdoch's. When we picked it up, we found that it was out of the box and already had oil/gas in it. When we asked about it, we were told ALL equipment is tested before sale. We used it three times for only a few minutes only because it wasn't starting nor running properly and was leaking fuel. We called two Murdoch's in the area to ask about replacing it and had no assurance whatsoever.
We brought it back to this Parker location. Blake was helping us and was cold and acted put out by having to deal with it. We were told that in order to replace it, they would need to send it to a repair person first. I thought they took everything out of the box before sale to ensure the item functions. Ridiculous. We told them we would rather simply return it and we were told they would not accept a return without also having it go to a repair person.
We asked to speak with the supervisor (with no suggestion from Blake that this might be a helpful course of action), Caitlyn, who was equally unhelpful. She refused to replace it at all and said that she would not accept the return without charging us for a new chain and bar. I'm sure they will resell this chainsaw to someone else who, unfortunately, will be stuck with a non functioning chainsaw and no hope for a return or replacement.
Rather than making this right and working this out with the manufacturer, Caitlyn and Blake made it our problem and refused to make any effort to stand by their product. Bottom line: we were sold a used, malfunctioning chainsaw, and we're stuck with the unpleasant task of trying to make it right. After having this discussion at the front of the store, which was embarrassing and unnecessary, Caitlyn finally agreed to provide a full return, but only after telling us she would not sell us anything else, effectively telling us she no longer wants ANY of our business.
If that was always an option, why not start there and actually take care of your customer. Directly from Murdoch's website: "Murdochs.com stands behind all of its products. We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects and will accept any defective item for refund or exchange." NOT TRUE. Murdoch's, you've lost a customer and need to train your employees to care about your customers.

Had to post this review - best customer service experience EVER. Bought a Traeger grill and after getting it home and partially assembled; found there was damage. Put a call into Murdoch's, spoke to Kaitlin and BOOM; she was on it! Next thing I know, Stephan is in my driveway with a replacement and helped me to bring it in. The folks have Murdoch's understand, which is why I shop there over the big box stores. They are in an elite group. Well done, Kaitlin and Stephan! Thank you for going above and beyond. Loyal customer forever.

I was looking for a specific type of feed at the store earlier today, but I was having some trouble locating it so I decided to ask an employee for help. The employees name was Jordan, and he was extremely short with me and quite rude. Instead of pointing me in the proper direction, he told me ""I work in the back, I don't know where any of that shit is" so I proceeded to ask another employee that might be of more assistance but to make a long story short. Jordan was extremely rude and I'm not impressed with this establishment. I never did find what I was looking for.

I love this store. Everyone is super friendly and the guys in sporting goods are helpful and knowledgeable. Especially Richard and Alex. I was quoted a price for a Mossberg SA-20 and when I arrived Richard was able to do better. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for honest and friendly service.

If I could give negative stars I would. My boyfriend and I are in the market for 2 new guns. We spent the last few days checking out different stores, holding different styles and brands to make sure we love what we buy. We are both currently gun owners and have been shooting most of our lives. After going to into our last stop for the day I was disappointed and shocked by the two men behind the counter who not only didn't bother to offer us any help even when I asked how much a gun was.
They were too busy speaking to each other to bother with us. The gun case was a disaster. You couldn't find anything One gentleman was 40's with a fu Manchu and the other was a mid twenties kid. We actually set down the rest of the 120$ in merchandise and decided against purchasing anything. It was our first and last experience in that store. 2pm on Sunday afternoon Good Luck

What a difference a day makes in your opinion or a place. I wrote a very bad review of this store last night and this morning thought wait let me give them a chance. The 10 percent off a new saw that I used once didn't make me very happy at all being a life long customer, however I decided to give them a chance. I received an email from Stephan this morning saying why don't you bring it in a saw this new should not have these issues.
So I returned his call and decided what do I have to loose right? He went above and beyond to fix my saw and then proceeded to tell me every detail about it. I am so HAPPY my faith in Murdoch's is restored as I often buy from them even if the price is somewhat higher just for the customer service aspect. I was about to go buy an electric one because I was so frustrated but now my saw is running like a kitten. In today's world this is rare and cannot tell them enough how grateful I am enough said. Don

To be treated fairly in this store you must be a big spender I guess. Don't go in unless you have a big ticket item to buy. Was in this store with my items in hand to buy. Walked up to registers. Cashier motioned me to her register. As I was walking around to her, just steps from the counter when A employee seeing me coming runs to this cashiers counter with "His customer".
He looks at me and says nothing. He jumps in front of me in line with "His customer" a man purchasing a chain saw. And his customer goes first while I wait when I was first. No apologies, nothing. Then this customer needed his warranty and NOW I wait longer for them all to figure out where his warranty was. So rude, this store sucks. You must be a big spender at Murdock's to be treated fairly.

This is where you can find unique items (to city folks like me) that can't be found in HD or Ace. I was on trek in search of Carhartt and bingo! many styles of jackets and bibs and other products to check out. I also found beekeeping supplies, rabbit hutch ready to go and also other items at great price

So for quite some time we have driven by and have wanted to go in. I'd like to say normally I review on both positive & needs improvement prospective. There hours are definitely not convenient for those that work afar as I like the shop after work around 7 but they close around that time during the week. We do not have livestock so our interest is mainly for a gun safe & possibly our dogs or "Fildo" as they say throught the store. Considering we went straight to the gun safe section you would think customer service would stop by and ask if we needed assistance.
No one for at least 30 mins. A young lady approached us in the clothing section but no one else. That's a shame as we are shoppers that conduct our research, ask questions, but BUY what we want. It's a sale lost. There was a gentleman behind the gun counter that we heard talking to a buddy. Who saw us but didn't even say Hello. Hmmm my suspicion on reasons why. Are ones I won't post or hope to not be true.
We MAY give them another try one day but from our 1st observation I was not comfortable and ignored. We ended up still spending $100 or so on Yetis we liked but to buy dog food here (our Blue brand) would be $20 up charge from Amazon online. FYI. Hope no one else feels like I did here by not only the safe guy but by ladies up front as well. I had to be the one to say Hi to request info on grill and all she did was say Hi and kept on walking. Hmmm.
Another possible sale lost. The positive that had me interested initially was they sell Miss Me and Rock Rival jeans. Which I own about 50 pairs. My obsession.lol so once again folks. Do not judge a book by cover. Your customers. As I shopping and could've been one of your best customers.

I heard commercials and always wanted to stop in. I was looking for some particular garden boxes so thought I would have a look around and see if they existed here. I was a bit taken back by how big the place actually was once I stepped inside. It's big, bright and really well organized. I was easily able to locate things and there was plenty of room to maneuver the extra large cart through the isle.
Unfortunately I was not able to find what I was specifically looking for, not sure if it even exists. I was able to find a great hand rake on the wall of tools and some smaller sized tennis balls for my neighbors new dog. I also ran into a few hot chicks:

Well, it's not really my kind of store. I don't have a big need for cowboy clothes, ranching supplies, etc (yes, there are some yard supplies, etc. that a backyard gardener might find useful). However, the store was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. And, the pricing seemed good. Based on these three things, I would definitely put them ahead of a "Big R". They have a large selection of premium dog foods and the prices seemed better than you would find at Petsmart/Petco.
