Services
Doggy Day Care and Spa has two convenient locations making us a short drive for everyone in the Greater Lansing Area. All dogs must meet specific requirements and complete a thorough enrollment process before attending, helping us to ensure a safe environment. Our experienced team has over 35 years combined experience in pack management and behavior, and we always provide your dog with constant supervision while they are in daycare. Our facilities are custom-built and have state-of-the-art air exchange systems providing a clean air environment.
We do not require that dogs be enrolled in Daycare to enjoy a visit at the Spa. We do, however, require that they be current on their vaccinations. All of our Spa services are by appointment. Dogs who are attending Daycare or Boarding can enjoy a visit to the Spa with a scheduled appointment during their stay.
The purpose of Doggy Daycare and Spa is to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating environment with an emphasis on positive experiences that include interaction and socialization with other friendly dogs. To ensure the safety and health of all our dogs, we require that everyone comply with the following rules and requirements.

My dog Comet loses her mind when we say "Day Care". Comet is a great dog and walks on heel when we are out. Except for when she gets out of the truck at Doggy Day Care & Spa. She is pulling hard to get inside and play with her friends. I don't know if the staff knows my name, but they always greet Comet by name. I'm pretty sure it's because they love her almost as much as I do. And isn't that what you want when you drop your best friend off somewhere? They also have reasonable rates on grooming. Which they are great at!

Ferguson has been going to Doggy Daycare & Spa for a year now. I am so happy I found this place (we have used both locations). The staff is great and I feel secure knowing that my fur child is well cared for during the day or if he has to stay overnight at "camp". He talks very loudly when he arrives but his tail is always wagging and he is happily exhausted when I pick him up at the end of the day.

Most of the staff is great and my dog really enjoyed going here so it pains me to leave this review but I cannot feel safe sending my dog there again or trust that this place will take any responsible for the safety of the dogs they care for. I recently received a call while my dog was at daycare telling me that there was an incident with another dog and that he had a small puncture in his leg but that he was fine.
None of the staff could tell me what happened because they said no one saw it. I thought, whatever, the mark was small (roughly bigger than the size of a needle poke) and I cleaned it when I got home so nothing to worry about. My dog has had broken nails, come home with small bruises, and gotten sick from daycare before. These types of things are expected to happen at any dog day care.
What I did not expect, was that this injury was much more than that. A couple days later, his puncture swelled to the size of a golf ball and burst wide open. After taking him to the emergency vet, it turned out that this 'small mark' was 3 inches deep and actually infected. How does this happen? No one at the daycare seems to know, and rather than bothering to check the surveillance tapes to see if something was wrong, I'm told that they have no proof that his injury was even a result of the incident (the incident that they reported to me, which they also said no one saw).
I didn't even get a single apology from any of the staff and instead got to hear the owner Janice deflect my concerns that something in her facility harmed my dog and accuse me that his injury was my fault. I guess since it didn't become infected immediately it's now my problem? On top of the mounting frustration of seeing my dog suffer and spending the last few days running back and forth to the emergency vet to have his wound treated, I'm still amazed at how unsympathetic this place has been.
I understand that I signed a waiver to send my dog here, but this is not an ordinary injury. I should not have to fear that my dog will be impaled while playing here. $900+ in vet costs later (with still more to come), and having to take work off as well as miss multiple weekend vacations to stay home with my pup (who is currently on sedatives and codeine every day so they can clean and put fresh bandages on his wound), I'm appalled at their response to all of this and will not being sending my dog back here ever again.

We are big fans of Doggy Daycare and Spa, and have been taking our dog there weekly for about a year. Our dog can be a handful at home, so we have been taking him to daycare one day a week to tire him out and give him lots of social stimulation. The staff at DD&S are always friendly and attentive, and we feel very welcome there. What's more, they are very transparent about their operations.
We used to go to another daycare for our dog, and we could only see the play area during specific times and were turned away the first half-dozen times we asked to get a tour. At Doggy Daycare and Spa, we got a tour on our first visit and we were happy to see that the dogs in the play area (about 20 or more) were all playing nicely without barking, in a fun-yet-controlled environment.
The vetting process to get in here was more comprehensive than other daycares we've been to, but now that we're in we appreciate the thorough checks they have put in place. Mason used to get kennel cough from other daycares, but we haven't once had that experience at Doggy Daycare and Spa. They have outdoor space for the dogs to get some fresh air, and pools to cool off in the summer. While the outdoor space doesn't seem huge, Mason comes home after a day at DD&S ready to relax with us.

I absolutely love this place. I have had nothing but positive experiences since taking my dog here. We were first introduced to this facility because we had taken puppy classes with a trainer that used Doggy Daycare & Spa facilities. My husband and I were very impressed with the layout and cleanliness, and the fact that the dogs also have a large outdoor space to play if they choose.
Since taking those puppy classes about 6 years ago, we have continued to take our dog here for overnight boarding and weekly daycare. She loves it there, and they've been very accommodating when she had weird food that needed to have water added, when we've had to cancel a day of daycare at the last minute, or when we've needed to reschedule a grooming day. Jackie is amazing and has always been so helpful and kind. I'd recommend this place to any puppy parent in a heartbeat.

We are so grateful for Doggy Day Care and Spa! We travel a lot & work long days. So deciding to get a puppy or not, we worried about time to exercise, socialize and leave for boarding. Here to tell ya, no worries with Doggy Day Care and Spa! Brody has been going for 8 months now and we love the friendly staff who welcome him 2-3 days a week, always calling him by name.
It's amazing to see all size of dogs getting along so well. They all run in & out with happy smiles! He sleeps so good on day care nights. It sure makes it more comforting to know that the couple times a year he needs to spend the night that he's comfortable with being there. Plus it's a bonus to get his haircut while there, every six weeks that keeps him looking handsome! Thanks for taking such good care of our fur baby! Sent from my iPhone
