This was recommended to me by staff at the City Veterinarian's Office. I brought in my 3-month old Belgian Malinois puppy for a 5-in-1 booster shot. Unfortunately, the staff advised me that they can't give the pup a booster shot unless it was dewormed first. Of course, the breeder already dewormed the puppy. Just the same, the St. Francis staff gave my dog a deworming tablet.
All the while, I thought deworming dogs involved some kind of injection work. I was advised to go back to the clinic two weeks after for another deworming tablet treatment. Sure enough, they sent me a text message reminding me of the schedule during the assigned day. I'm giving them a 2-star rating though. They should have just sold me the deworming tablets and reminded me of the scheduled treatments instead of asking me to bring back my dog to the clinic for deworming. Well, if the treatment involved injection work, I will surely pay extra for a vet to come to my home rather than take my dog some 3 to 4 kilometers away from home.
The dog had grown so big so quickly, he can no longer fit in his puppy cage for traveling to-and-fro a faraway vet clinic. For deworming medium to big dogs, St. Francis Veterinary Clinic should rethink the way they administer those deworming tablets.
