We have a Shih tzu that has to get groomed every so often. This is the first grooming place we tried in town. I was impressed with their website and the degree of knowledge they seem to show concerning dog food and overall health and well-being. They did an okay job on grooming our dog - it was nothing spectacular. But we will not be going back there.
I had the opportunity to observe one of the groomers with a dog and I got pretty upset with how short-tempered she seemed to be and the rough treatment the dog experienced. It was fidgeting just a little bit, but not really squirming and she just got so angry with the dog. I said something to the owner/cashier about it and she just laughed it off.
I repeated myself, with emphasis, that I was concerned with how rough the groomer was being and the person just said maybe she's having a bad day or the dog is not cooperating. I don't even spank my dog and I will not take him back some place where he will experience rough treatment at the hands of a stranger.

Not my favorite place! The three times I took my dog in to be groomed they were late getting there. They supposeofly open at 7:30am every morning, however I would find myself waiting in the parking lot for them to open all three times until about 7:40-7:45. This put me in a pickle because I had to be at work at 8:00! Most professionals would be in the shop and have it ready to be opened at 7:30 as the sign states not running in at 7:45 with their purse getting the lights turned on while I wait.
The first time my dog was groomed they did good, the second time they did okay, however the third time they did horrible. She was not even finished! She was choppy, and her feet looked bad! I don't know if they were training or just in a hurry but it was not worth the $43.00 I paid! I was so disappointed! I will not be returning!
