We need you! Check out our Events page for the volunteer meeting dates. SNAP relies on our all-volunteer staff to accomplish our mission and we have plenty of volunteer opportunities. Our services are limited to the following counties in southwest Missouri: Christian, Greene, Webster, Dallas, Polk, and Lawrence. SNAP's mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia in our community's animal shelters, to reduce the number of homeless animals, and to educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter.

When your pets are fixed, they are less likely to roam or act aggressively. They are usually healthier and happier. When there are fewer homeless animals, there are fewer strays to dig up your garden or disturb the peace with noisy mating behavior. If you live in a rural area, you are less likely to have animals dumped on your property to chase your livestock. Animal control costs American taxpayers more than a billion dollars every year. Ending animal homelessness will reduce that cost dramatically.

Here are just some of the ways you can make a difference in the lives of shelter animals, as well as in the lives of low-income families who want to do the responsible thing and fix their pets.
If you do a lot of online shopping through Amazon, you can help spay/neuter at the same time. A program called AmazonSmile gives.5% to selected charities on qualified purchases. To sign up, go to this link and choose SNAP as your selected charity. We're listed by our full name (Spay Neuter Assistance Program Inc.) instead of our acronym.
If you would like to contact SNAP to find out if you qualify for our services, please call our phone line and leave your daytime phone number on our voicemail. Because of the large volume of calls received, it may take 4-5 days for a volunteer to return your call. Our services are limited to the following counties in southwest Missouri: Christian, Greene, Webster, Dallas, Polk, and Lawrence. If you qualify, a certificate will be sent to you for redemption at one of our veterinary clinics once payment is received.
