I brought my cat in for a wound he had on his leg at the ankle but the vet didn't address the ankle but said my cat was a very sick cat. The only thing wrong with him before the vet saw him was the wound on his leg but the vet wrote that he was severely dehydrated and needed iv fluids along with having a pot belly. I will say again my cat didn't have anything else wrong with him but the leg, no pot belly, but when I picked him up he was lethargic and had a pot belly.
His wound wasn't cleaned or bandaged.and a week later my cat died. Be careful with this clinic and be present during all procedures because I dropped my cat off and now he is dead.

I have never had an experience like this at a vet in my life. I dropped my kitten off for her vaccine follow up. I was called at 11 am. They told me she had a parasite that was highly contagious to other cats & that they were going to send home meds. At pick up time I was told by someone else that there was no parasite, and that whoever called me at 11 said the wrong thing. Then, I was then told by A THIRD person that she does have a parasite & they were not treating it because she was asymptomatic (solid stool), but it was still contagious.
I asked to speak to the vet, and they said no. I had to drive back to the office after bringing my kitten home, because she had diarrhea in her carrier. I asked to speak to the veterinarian instead of a receptionist, and they sent out Priscilla. She was unprofessional & corrected/interrupted me multiple times. She then prescribed me the medicine for the parasite.
When she went to get the medicine, the two receptionists went to the back with her - leaving me feeling uncomfortable alone in the office. At this point I'm not sure if my cat has it or not, if my other cats are going to get it, or if the veterinarian was ever consulted about the prescription. If someone requests to speak to the actual doctor (I requested twice at two different times), they should be able to.
We will NOT be returning, and neither will my family who gets their two dogs & two cats treated there. If someone would have treated me nicely, I would understand the confusion. But instead I was met with pure hostility.

I have a membership with the Banfield pet hospital through PetSmart and when I took my dog who was obviously having an allergic reaction to something, they just told me to give her benadryl. So I got on Google and found this place and I'm never going back to PetSmart again. They not only gave me more information about what was happening with my puppy, but the actually gave me medication for her to alleviate her symptoms and treat them.
Within a day she was doing much better. They also picked up on an ear infection that Banfield didn't. Dr. Weeks was great and very informative. Claudia and the rest of the girls at the front desk are incredibly helpful. I will be coming back here from now on.

I recently moved to the opposite side of town and will always make the drive to use this vet. Hands down 10/10 would recommend. Time and time again. I recently had a horrible experience as I tried to find a NEW vet for my dog closer to my new residence. I went to a recommended place where they brushed off my concerns and told me I was over-reacting.
After a week of my dog getting worse, I took her to Pet Medical Center where they listened to what I was saying and found the problem immediately. My dog had a horrible infection at that point and was in a lot of pain as a result of the previous vet missing it. They fit me in for surgery within 2 business days and gave me meds to fight the infection and pain in the meantime. Thank you Pet Medical Center

Dr. Weeks and his staff are the best! We rescued two cats 14 yrs ago and up until two years ago, they were both healthy. One of them developed diabetes a couple of years ago and unfortunately passed from it. after a year of trying to get it under control. His "brother" that was rescued at the same time had started having issues and was recently diagnosed with a tumor in his stomach. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for him as the cancer had already spread to his intestines and he was losing weight. Dr. Weeks and the staff were so kind and helpful to get him fluids when he needed them and any other tests to see what could be done. Unfortunately, his health declined.

O.M.G! Please, let me tell you about this awesome place! My family was 2 hours into a 6 hour drive out of town on a Friday. My mother was going to watch our dog while we were away and was going to pick him up from our house later that afternoon. She called in the morning that her dog was not well and they were taking him to the vet (different. vet).
My husband and I agreed that we should board our dog while we were away so my mother didn't have to care for her sick, 15 year old dog, while also watching our energetic 5 year old dog. Unfortunately, our vet was booked for the weekend and our dogs shots had just become past due. So we were unable to get him into a regular boarding facility. I.

They were having phone problems when I called to confirm my appointment the day of the automated answering machine told me that they were closed. They stated that they called a number on file to confirm even though I provided them with my number when I set the appointment over a week ago. I asked if there was anyway that they can see my dog today since they were having phone issues and were calling the wrong number.
They said the would not I waited a week for this appointment because The phones weren't working in the morning when I tried to confirm. She then hung up on me before I could even try and reschedule. I have used the vet in the past he seems like a good guy that's why I waited a week for this appointment but I received terrible customer service. Willing to edit this review if I get a follow up.

Dr. Weeks and his staff are always polite and take the time to listen to all my concerns with my animals. My dog was suffering with terrible allergies, other vets just wanted to medicate my fur baby but Dr. Weeks ran a full allergy test and found not only her environmental allergies but her food allergies to some of the most common ingredients in most dog food.
We're already on a plan moving forward and getting my fur baby some much needed relief from her allergies. She's lost some much needed weight now that she's getting the right food and is so much happier. She's always smiling and ready to play instead of being very isolated and looking miserable itching all the time. Truly excited to see all the positive changes in my fur baby.

November 13, 2019, I had to make a very hard decisions on trying to keep my baby girl alive or to help her pass away and be out of pain. Everyone was very supportive. I'm a nurse so I knew her chances of recover were slim. I felt the staff helped me through one of the hardest mornings. Dr. Weeks and his assistant didn't rush me and stayed by my side until, I was ready. There was no pressure at all, only caring people.

I Love Dr. Weeks and all of the staff at the Pet Medical Center of San Antonio. Dr. Weeks is conservative and incredibly knowledgeable about caring for my fur babies. I highly recommend him for excellent pet care. It's difficult to narrow down to just one thing that's the best! It all begins with Dr. Weeks. I completely trust his care and recommendations for my two girls.
